A nice relaxing atmosphere to gather your energy for the numerous trails to choose from. Food was ok as it is most times when one eats hungry. Not necessarily a place I'd go out of my way to revisit. It has its convenience.

The building of what is now the Teahouse in Stanley Park has a rich military history, and is now a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and even seating in what looks like a greenhouse! There was a wedding taking place when we arrived, and we were told that weddings are held there almost every day. We were seated at a corner table with a beautiful view of the ocean (from certain angles). My family ordered the Chicken Karaage as a starter, as well as the ribeye steak, Miso Glazed sablefish, and Roasted Chicken Supreme. All the food was fantastic, however my husband said that my son's ribeye tasted better than his. Our server was great, very friendly and frequently checked on us. Parking is available in front of the restaurant, but you are competing with other park visitors who are visiting the area. Pay for parking via the parking kiosk in front of the restaurant. While the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, I was dismayed that the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible and I didn't see any baby changing tables anywhere for those who are wondering. Reservations are available on Open Table.

Teahouse in Stanley Park for brunch was perfection. I was a little nervous booking a reservation in a touristy area like a park, but I'm glad I did. This is no ordinary restaurant, it's an experience. The white table cloths sat crisp on each table with a stunning view overlooking Third Beach. We actually saw a bald eagle while sitting out front. Ample parking is available but you must pay at the pay station otherwise, you'll be greeted with an after-meal parking ticket. There was a wedding party in one of the dining areas when we approached the restaurant. Apparently, weddings are a big thing in Stanley Park. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Despite the busy vibes, attention was given to each table. General Manager Matt McLellan was buzzing around, making sure things were going well. Srger (sp?), our server was truly wonderful. He took time to make sure our meal was nothing but perfect. The brunch menu was speaking to us. The table ordered tea, a must at a teahouse. We also ordered croissants (4 in the basket for $12) that came with house-made strawberry jam. Outstanding! Brunch plates were filling, tasty, and eggs cooked perfectly to our liking. This was a really great experience and I'm really glad I made the reservation.

Be sure you make reservations! We came here to celebrate and were greeted with complimentary champagne. Yay! Great start! We ordered the pizza for our toddler, the stuff mushrooms, burrata salad, and waffles. Everything was really great. There was even a wedding going on while we were there! Such a cute spot and the perfect stop on our hike/walk of Stanley park. I would def come back.

I tried the recommendation of the day. Salmon with some veggies. It was pretty good, I would not change anything on it. The salmon piece was just as big as I expected. I enjoyed the sunset in the patio and finished my visit with a crème brûlée. John, Andrea and Rafael were always pretty attentive. Their service was great. I truly recommend this place to those who want to have a very good family time in Stanley Park. I won't forget this place.

awful experience. service was terrible and our waiter (older white gentleman) was giving my family the attitude the whole time while smiling at other tables. we asked whether they serve tea (since this is called the "teahouse" yet no tea was listed on the menu. the waiter said they do, but when we asked what tea do they have he seemed annoyed and said, "the normal kind." every time he came around to our table he spoke to us with the deepest frown. the desserts were so-so on top of the type of service we received. tea were tea bags fyi. latte was good but that was the only upside. i felt we spoke to our waiter very politely so i do not understand where this attitude came from. horrible visit, i would not return or recommend this place.

If you're in Vancouver and want a meal with a view that feels like a little escape from the city, The Teahouse in Stanley Park is a must. Tucked among towering trees with peekaboo views of the water, this spot blends cozy charm with West Coast elegance. My boyfriend and I came for brunch, and everything about the experience was perfect. The host seated us by the window with a gorgeous forest view, and our server was warm, attentive, and never rushed us--just the kind of pace you want for a peaceful weekend meal. I had the Florentine mushroom latke and wow--so flavorful and crispy, with a creamy, dreamy hollandaise that I could've eaten by the spoonful. It came with a fresh, crisp salad that balanced everything beautifully. My boyfriend ordered the beef hash, which was so good I couldn't stop stealing bites (he was a good sport about it). We lingered over perfectly brewed coffee, enjoying the cozy atmosphere, natural light, and soft background music. The whole space just makes you want to relax and stay awhile. This place is truly special--thoughtful food, peaceful vibes, and surrounded by nature. We'll definitely be back for dinner next time, maybe to catch the sunset.

Great place to hang out and spending time to have lunch there. The food is nice and the view is spectacular. Anyone I. Stanley park should drop by at least once to enjoy your time in this restaurant. Servers are very friendly and attentive.

We went here in 1986 during Expo 86, and it's still as lovely as we remember. Whether is time for a dramatic sunset, or a cozy day with rain pattering on the glass roof, this is a special place in a special park in a special city. The menu harkens back to traditional time, with dishes like Steak Diane, but also a few modern dishes such as herb-crusted ware albacore. Service was extremely professional, and the entire staff was efficient and welcoming. You can't beat this location for an especially memorable Vancouver meal.

The GM reached out to me and apologized to my family about the incident. He also addressed it with the server. The GM sent us a card as well and took care of our bill. Exceptional customer service!

Came for a date night to try out the Dine Out Vancouver menu ($55 each, plus $10 upcharge for the surf and turf). Tried some zero-proof cocktails, were really nice. The arancini appie was great, but the kale caesar salad was a bit dry and the texture made it kind of hard to eat with a fork. For entrees the duck was delicious, though the carrots and broccolini were a little undercooked. The steak and prawns were excellent, fries were a tad underwhelming. Dessert was super rich and tasty. Service was awesome, our waiter was really kind and made sure I felt safe with my peanut allergy! Heard someone at the table next to us also dealing with an allergy request, so they seemed open to that kind of thing. Overall, a good meal for Dine Out, and as a duck fan, I enjoyed it a lot!

From the gold railings to coat check to a piano on the stairs to an old school oyster bar showcasing their wares proudly on display, Joe Fortes has a lot going on for it. But perhaps more so than anything else is an amazing happy hour for anyone who loves oysters. Service Before diving into the food let's talk about service. The servers here are dressed in the old full whites with black ties and give you full service. They have an expert knowledge of the menu and are willing to give you any and all opinions if asked. They check on you frequently and make sure you're having a good time with enough banter to make it friendly and welcomed. Happy Hour - Alcohol With that out of the way, we can talk about the happy hour. Yes, they have a great deal when it comes to their house red and white wines where you can get 6 oz for $6 CAD or 9 oz for $9 CAD. Their beers range from $5 CAD to $8 CAD and their cocktails are all under $10 CAD. Happy Hour - Food They have some incredible truffle fries, cut thick and sprinkled with parmesan as delicate as snow for $9 CAD. Their crab & corn fritters are slightly chewy but packed with flavor and come at $12 CAD. The coconut prawns sound just as delicious as they taste and come at $13 CAD. I would avoid the Steelhead ceviche though as it was more mashed avocado than ceviche. However, HOWEVER, the star of the show are their oysters. Coming at $1.75 an oyster, you get to be as gluttonous as you'd like whilst keeping your pockets happy. Vancouver is known for their amazing seafood and with this happy hour from 3 PM - 5 PM it gives you 2 hours to fill your belly with as many oysters as you can. Even if you ordered 50 oysters you would be under $90 CAD. I should know, I did that. Last Thoughts Even without the incredible happy hour Joe Fortes would be a restaurant you have to visit during your trip to Vancouver. With a great selection of food on their menu, wait staff that feel old world and professional, and a setting fit for the city, the happy hour is just the bonus that makes visiting Joe Fortes even more enticing. Come with an appetite, leave with a smile.

And while there are no shortage of seafood restaurants serving fresh crab on the Steveston waterfront, we wanted to give The Crab King a fair shake. I'm so glad that we did! My wife ordered a King Crab for herself which, after tearing it literally limb-from-limb, eventually declared it to be tied for her favorite boiled crab dish anywhere! High praise coming from such a consummate crustacean connoisseur! For myself and our son, an order of fish and chips, and the grilled chicken sandwich rounded out our order, both of which were crispy, tasty and delicious. Regarding the fish and chips, they appeared to be tempura-battered, and I'm still not 100% sure what type of fish it was. It may have been cod, but it seemed more like catfish, but either way, it was tender, juicy, flaky and delicious. No complaints here! More than anything, though, the employees here went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. Our toddler son, who is normally extremely well-behaved in restaurants, was having a bit of a fuss here and there. Without prompting, the servers brought us a little radio to play music for him, as well as a couple of toys to play with, one of them being a wind-up truck that they gave to him to take home! He loved it there, and still plays with it at home! They even played peek-a-boo with him from behind the counter, soliciting laughs and giggles, for the better part of 15 minutes! That sort of customer service is nearly impossible to find, and should be praised and cherished wherever it is found! Whatever the past may have held for this restaurant, the Crab King is an entirely new animal now, serving up fresh seafood by uncommonly wonderful employees, in a fantastic floating location. They even offer to cook spot prawns and other seafood purchased from the boats docked at the nearby waterfront marketplace, for a modest fee. With all these things going for it, there's no doubt who wears the crown of Crab King in Steveston Harbor!
