Found this on our way back to our hotel and it was perfect for the 100 degree day. Walked in to such a cute and clean shop. Loved the ambiance and the vibe. The service was alright. Very slow and the young man who helped us seemed like he was tired, bored or just didn't want to be there. We got a matcha slush and the phx sun. The matcha slush was very strong in the matcha. I have been coming to teacup for a very long time. ( Since the original owners ) The past couple of months/visits, I have noticed the service & quality has majorly declined. I have had MANY drinks made incorrectly. There is such a lack of communication between the customer and the teacup team. Today I was waiting 20 minutes for an order I made on the kiosk, I asked about the drinks and two out of my three drinks were sitting on the counter. Then I am told that they are waiting for the tapioca to set/chill till they can serve it. It would've been nice to know that when I initially ordered the drinks, I paid for something that I wasn't able to get. Also, my sunrise was made with NO REAL FRUIT. I wish I could show how often this happens. When I ask for the fruit, I just get rolled eyes or arguing saying there's no fruit in it. It's ridiculous. Another issue I had. There were some Star Wars drinks not too long ago, my boyfriend was so excited to try it. IT WAS DISGUSTING. We asked for it to be remade or traded for another drink and we were told no??? Had this place bookmarked before arriving to Phoenix. Thrilled that our daily activities put us close enough to persuade my car mates to check it out. This cute shop reminds me of the cutest coffee/tea shops in Korea. We stayed for the innovative drinks and food menu. Loved everything!! Saw that delicious matcha strawberry latte that Joyce W posted in her review and knew what I was getting. In my haste to enjoy, I forgot to tell the counter person how sweet or not sweet I wanted my drink. Usually I prefer less sweet. In this instance my blended matcha was perfectly refreshing! We also got the Blue Lagoon, Blue Nebula, Gold Rush with boba. Am told they were all delicious. Since we were looking for a little more solid snack, we also ordered a few sweet pork buns. These were heavenly also! Thanks Joyce for steering us in this great direction. Regret with our limited time in Phoenix we didn't get to try any of your other favorites. Unfortunately it wasn't very quick nor were there many snacks available. While I saw some photos of popcorn chicken here on Yelp they don't offer it anymore so your options for food are bubble waffles and churros. I had initially wanted a pandan coconut bubble waffle but they didn't have pandan flavor but they could still add the coconut to the batter which is what I opted for. I also got a strawberry matcha milk tea and winter kiss (Chocolate peppermint milk tea). It took a while for the drinks to be made. I saw many orders before mine being made and delivered before my drinks were finally ready. Yes! Then my hopes for dashing away with my order were dashed as the bubble waffle still wasn't ready. Much to my chagrin some jerk immediately had taken my seat right as I took those 3 steps to the counter to get my drink and didn't care to move when he saw I still hadn't gotten all of my order. When the bubble waffle arrived it was served in a clear plastic cup which I thought was a little weird since the part of the waffle in the cup will steam and get soggy in the plastic container. The top part was very lightly crispy and the bottom part in the container did get a bit soft from steaming so overall the waffle was more on the soft cakey side than crisp. I enjoyed the bits of coconut in the batter. The size seemed on the smallish side compared to other bubble waffle places I've been to though. The strawberry matcha was so good! I enjoyed the matcha flavor with the strawberry puree. I'd order this again. I had it with boba which was decently chewy. The winter kiss was more of a peck on a cheek than a romantic bringing in the New Year endeavor for me. It had good chocolate flavor but I didn't detect any peppermint at all which was a bummer. While I enjoyed the drinks the wait time really killed the experience for me. I got this order to go and had people waiting in the car for me. Honestly everytime I go the workers are very off putting and not very friendly, but I've continued to go because I loved the drinks. This was honestly my final time though, the girl at the counter was very rude. I asked for popping boba in my drink, I paid for it but it was not added to my drink. So when I got back to my car I went back inside and very kindly asked if I could get the boba I paid for to which the girl responded with a heavy sigh and taking the drink out of my hand, she plopped the boba on top of the drink and then gave it back to me. The boba was HARD AND STALE and not the normal soft chewy texture it's supposed to be. Wow! Searched Yelp and found this gem. It was a bit out of the way about 30 minutes lol. Anyway once there it was worth the drive! Located in a little strip mall with lots of parking! Location was bright, airy, modern, clean and so beautifully decorated. As always with boba places lots of choices. I did find drinks that were unique and quite different from other boba places I've tried here. Service was excellent and speedy. The drinks were equally as beautiful. Lots of color, some even healthy. I had the matcha strawberry latte with custard pudding and wow! The strawberry purée added a bit of sweetness to the matcha. That matcha though. That was some awesome matcha! Not bitter or grainy like most matcha drinks are, this drink was smooth and delicious! Also had the blended taro with popping pearls with a soft serve ice cream top. Next was the vanilla ice cream with a churro loop! Churro was light and crisp. Could've used a bit more sugar and cinnamon for me but, it was still delicious. Ice cream full of flavor. I swung in here after spending the morning running errands. I thought the girls deserved a treat after walking around in the heat. I picked up some drinks for my husband and some tenants at his work as well. The staff was very accommodating mixing the girls drinks without tea avoiding caffeine and they put some sparkling soda in place of it. They both had jellies added. They loved the drinks and were so happy and refreshed. While waiting a couple of groups of teens came in and were doing TikTok videos. Ha ha too much fun. I got permission to post them on Yelp. I love this place and I wish I live nearby. We live in buckeye and our go to boba place is closed early so we decided to take the 20 min drive. They are open despite the pandemic and they are observing social distancing. The crews are wearing masks and gloves and they have the 6 feet distancing rule. Their dining area is closed as well. Their customer service is great! I was craving coffee and boba at the same time and I told the cashier that and she recommended me the creme brûlée and I was sold. It wasn't overly sweet and it have that coffee flavor that I was craving! My husband has a crazier craving... he likes taro with a hint of lemon. They did not really hit the mark on this one but then again, his flavor request is not really a conventional one. The only reason for the 4 star is the price which is pretty pricey. Been to this establishment a few times now and each time was a good experience. Here's the review: Drink (4/5): For the drink, I ordered the avalanche which the menu states is a "snowy milk" drink with custard pudding and boba. Oh and can't forget the caramel drizzle too! Overall, the drink was pretty good. I do find that the drink is pretty sweet (my fault for changing the sweetness) if you leave it as is. The custard and boba is also yummy; however, I do wish that there was more of the snowy milk. I felt that there was just an imbalance between the two but that's just my preference. Like I said, the drink was pretty good though. Atmosphere (5/5): The store was very cleanly and well organized. Decided to take a stop in the bathroom and it was also very clean. The ambience is really nice as it was mostly white accents with nice decor. There's even a wall with photos of drinks to showcase what's their most popular drinks. I would say seating is kinda limited though. Service (5/5): The person that served me was super nice. I came in and asked for recommendations and she suggested a few drinks to me.
