I have unfortunately never been able to get a hot beverage here so its hard to review this location for taste. Maybe thier iced drinks are better but everytime I have ordered something hot its room temperature at best. I have been going to this stand since they opened. I am picky with my coffee, but I was given suggestions by the broistas and I now go every day (sometimes twice). They start my day all week at 5:30 with a chat that puts me in a great mood, and then visit with my dogs and I on the weekend for pup cups and green tea. The Haley's, Tate, Kharissa and Andrew are just some of the great people who make my day every day. I was also visiting the Valley in July 2019; July...what a great time to be here...ugh no thanks, but I had 3 days in Phoenix before heading to Vegas for a wedding. Besides the drinks being great, the staff is always super friendly. They ask how your day is going, comment on the chilly weather at Christmastime, or whatever friendly conversation. This is an outdoor stand with a drive through. I've always parked & walked up to the stand. Drive through can be hectic with cars going far back. This place is popular, which I can get why with how friendly the staff is and high quality variety of drinks they have. I come to this location all the time because I love the vibes the baristas give. The last few visits, though, the girl with the green hair has been consistently rude. On one visit, my drink was made incorrectly. When I let her know it wasn't half sweet, she told me I never asked for it that way instead of simply fixing it. When I asked her to remake it half sweet, she told me to "go throw it away" in a raised tone, as if me keeping the incorrect drink would somehow come out of her paycheck. That comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. More recently, my drinks were made wrong again. I politely asked for them to be remade, and she snatched them out of my hand and handed them back within seconds. It didn't feel like there was genuine effort to correct the mistake, it felt rushed and dismissive. I understand that mistakes happen. What's frustrating is the repeated attitude and lack of basic courtesy. read more

So I have kind of been a little addicted to Dutch Bros now. Pricewise I kind of feel like they might be cheaper than Starbucks, but I like that there's more options that are not coffee because I'm not a coffee girl. I do like their teas they make a good hot chocolate, the milkshake isn't too bad or the shake. I've ordered a few different things off the menu. I will say the tea it's a hit or miss. I don't know if they store it near the coffee because sometimes I can taste coffee even though I know I'm drinking a tea. I do love the Wednesdays or random days that they give out stickers, they're always energetic, friendly and service wise. It has always been good. read more

I noticed today after my stop here that I hadn't visited this location in many, many years. It is definitive for an updated review after my visit this afternoon. I have steered away from this location for a long time mainly due to the last few stops here. Nothing to do with Dutch itself, but this parking lot sucks and the lanes to get in and out have been tight and rough to get in and out. Today with the rainy weather and maybe the time of day the line was practically empty and I took my opportunity to pick up a cold brew. Happy Valentine's Day to me lol. I was greeted instantly in the drive thru and my order taken. She was super friendly and I was on my way to pay. With only one car in front of me it was quickly my turn. The man at the counter was equally as friendly and handed my drink and double checking my order . I knew right away it was wrong by the color, but tasted it to be sure and let them know it was wrong. They of course can't take it back, but quickly apologized and said they'd remake it. They went above and beyond and the girl who apparently had made it came to the window and apologized and stated she realized when I asked them to remake it that she read my order wrong. No biggie I knew they'd correct it and without making me feel like a jerk. I appreciate that. Within seconds I had my yummy, perfect cold brew and was on my way. read more

When I confronted them, they claimed I had tipped through my app, but I showed them that I don't even have tipping set up. I mentioned to the woman at the window the cashier didn't even ask if I wanted to tip, which she replied with "they are not allowed to ask" so just beware and ALWAYS double-check how much you are being charged for your drinks. Most things lean towards the sweet side, but if your in the mood, the drink with Irish cold brew was refreshing and creamy. It had a fancy name, but I can't remember. Thought it would be a long wait at the drive thru but it went pretty smoothly and not as long as I excepted. They do have to lanes and it combines into one. They have employees that are outside taking your order and by the time your at the window you will have your drink/drinks ready. My favorite is the iced caramelizer. So chocolatey and good. Like seriously, no other 'fast food' establishment would get away with such long wait times - Dutch Bros isn't exempt from this expectation. It's a drive-through, not a sit down restaurant. It's a pretty terrible look when the line is out to Indian School rd yet the employees are hanging out by the back door talking and making Tik Toks. I wouldn't even be leaving this review if we hadn't seen them outside just chilling - no sense of urgency or purpose. It's difficult not to leave here happy. They have heaps of drink combinations and flavors. I've tried a variety of coffees (I can't remember the names because they name their drinks weird names), their energy drinks, and their lemonade. I recommend the Tropical Lemonade with Guava blended in. The biggest "wow factor" that stands out to me is the (what feels like genuine) attention from every person who works here. Every person has engaged in conversation with me (above and beyond "how's the weather"). Usually, most young workers can't stop talking to each other to even bother to look at you. But, everyone here is friendly and conversational. It's a wonderful touch. The biggest negative to this place is the menu. The items have weird, un-memorable names. So, it helps to order with the menu in front of you. Especially because there are so many different options. But, because the car lines are sooooo long, the people come out to your car to take your order (and money) to make things go faster. But, they don't have any copies of the menu. So, if you don't know exactly what you want, you can't order or pay. So, you are stuck, holding up the line, while you slowly pull up, with a worker walking side by side your car, until you can see the menu and order. One other issue is, if your order is wrong, there isn't much to do other than go back and wait through the line again. The phone number only calls the main headquarters (30 minute wait time). But, even with those two frustrations, the experiences were so positive, this place earned 5 stars from me. read more
