The matcha with vanilla cold foam was great -- smooth, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. The vanilla cold foam added just the right creamy finish without overpowering the matcha. I also tried the Mint Chiller, and it was excellent -- super refreshing with a clean mint flavor that wasn't too sugary. The ambiance looks inviting and relaxing, making it a comfortable place to hang out or catch up with someone. Since it was our first time there, the employees were especially helpful in explaining the menu and offering suggestions, which we really appreciated. Service was quick and efficient, and the drinks were made just right. Definitely a good option when you want something a little different from the usual coffee run. read more

Music was very explicit and vulgar, my last visit, as though I was in the club. Children occupied that space at times.

I used to be a regular here (everyday, if not twice a day). However I feel like things have really gone down hill in terms of quality. In the last year I rarely visit and when I do, its a 50/50 chance that I get what I actually ordered. The coffee isnt always consisitent, which I can imagine is hard when our dealing with back up line or different people/new people making your drinks. However, the one thing that shouldnt be "inconsistent" is the energy drinks there. Again, about half of the time I go for their Rebel drink its a sugar free when I asked for the regular kind. Or if they are out of the regular kind they replace it with the organic WITHOUT telling you. Mind you the Organic has an aftertaste to me just like the sugar free ones do. I dont understand why they just dont tell you, "hey we're out of what you are asking for" (on a side note, this could be because for almost 6 months straight when I used to go more regularlarly they were ALWAYS out of something. Mocha, Rebel, Strawberry flavoring, almond flavoring, etc...) Granted, if you ask them, or call them out on it while there on site or in the drive thru, they will tell you or remake it, so that's nice and why I am even giving 3 stars. However, if you leave and go all the way back to work and then realize..hey this isn't what I ordered... its sort of too late at that point. read more

This is legit the last chance I'll ever give this Black Rock. I come here every day. The shift lead is the best on the team. She actually cares and tries to make things right when she's aware. But most of the other crew members don't care about customer service. I sat in the drive-through for 10 minutes and couldn't get anyone on the speaker. I have a dash cam so I record all my interactions. I drove up to the window to try to get someone to take my order, ask the girl if the speaker was broken, she smiled and said you just couldn't hear her, but she was talking to you. I told her I didn't hear a peep on the intercom, that I was waiting for almost 10 minutes. She reiterated herself w a smile stating that the headset was down. Problem-solving skills is clearly not this crews strongest suit. Next time go out and take your guests order. Instead of letting them wait and then giving them a poor excuse for negligence. On top of all that my drink came out looking like a gulp was taken out of it for almost 8 dollars a drink. It should be full. I tried giving them another shot because of the shift lead but because of the lack of care and bad attitudes by the majority of the crew I never again will give this store another dime. read more

I have never had an issue with a coffee shop like this. The location on dysart/thomas is very disappointing. The coffee is great but the young girls have the worst customer service. Sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes not a single thing was said until I had to drive up to the window to say I have a mobile order and they looked lost? One of my favorite coffee shops in AZ. Great coffee, cute ambiance. Lovely baristas. I like coffee black, sweetened, flavored, hot, cold- depends on my mood. Oh my goodness, what a fabulous coffee shop! I walked in. It was clean. The staff was phenomenal. There was plenty of seating. It was quiet. I'm not sure if they've gone under new management but this location is a mess. I use to come here all the time when my daughter was at dance and now I don't think I'll return. The staff is very slow and too busy to even realize you've been standing around for 5-10 mins to get your order in. The coffee shop looks like it needs a deep clean. I really like their branding. I'm not as familiar with Black Rock Coffee, but that will change. The left board was down today so I wasn't certain on all of the offerings. I will go back another time. I got or black rock atleast 4 days a week. I avoid this location at all costs. Staff ignored the huge line inside the store , the drive thru wasn't moving . They apparently ran out of large cups so you can pay for a large but you're getting a medium. Just over all , a great reminder why i go out of my way to the northern location. read more

I don't usually come to black rock but when I come to this location it's always something, it's either staff being rude in a way when you try to order they're always rushing you, like I understand you have a job to do but let's not be a bitch about it. Gross. My drink was watered down. Then I tried a different one and it tasted like sour milk. I always try to give a new place a second chance but honestly twice was way too many for me. I absolutely LOVE the Peach ring drink with white chocolate. This energy drinks gets me going, AND absolutely satisfies my sweet tooth. I'm done with black rock after 3 years or so. The drinks have become so inconsistent, and the broken limb of the stinking tree that scratched my car. The last straw (no pun intended) is when I ordered a large and I saw the person making my drink and poured it into a smaller cup (medium or whatever) then the window person told her I ordered a large, so she then pours into a large cup and just adds ice to make it large in volume, nice very nice, and no I don't need a manager or whatever to make this right, I'm done. read more

I have frequented this black rock in the past, and have never had any issues. Today when it was 127° in Phoenix, I decided to stop in and get a green tea with sugar free peach and sugar-free coconut. I should say that I am highly sensitive to sugar, and it is almost an allergy! I cannot have any actual sugar, or it makes me super sick. Fast forward to when I get my drink, I drink half of it, and I have an explosive (yup that's right, explosive) reaction. I am 100% certain that the syrups used were not sugar free. I went back into the store and spoke to the gentleman that made my drink. He was a super nice young kid, and he swore up and down that he had iced only sugar free. But I can tell you that my body would say differently! I did not get an offer to remake the drink, or a refund be issued, he just was adamant that it was sugar-free. In fact, he watched me throw the other half of my drink in the trash, and wished me a good day. Not sure that I will trust this location again. I came here about 3 times while in Arizona and each time they asked if we wanted whip cream on top, we have always said yes then got our drinks without. I ordered a blended s'mores drink and got it iced. Its fine , so I tried it and it literally taste like an iced watered down hot chocolate. Maybe it was just my experiences , but I can say their Mexican Mocha is amazing, get it blended of course. Get all the coffee's blended . I am always looking for a nice coffee shop to do my work. But the funny thing is I don't really like coffee. I will get a frappe but I don't like the taste of coffee so I tend to overload it with other taste. I also got their chocolate muffins which was really delicious. The customer service is always on point! Today is their grand opening, so it's definitely popping, since they have a deal where any medium size drink is $2. One thing I was salty about was that the car in front of us got got stickers and when we got to the window we were excited to get stickers but we're not offered any, and we're pretty loyal fans so....
