Lovely place. Hot chocolate with coconut best I have ever had. Kim, the owner, very sweet. Our first time, not last.

Had the Earl Gray tea at Waffles tea room and wanted to go here to buy some. It was quite expensive to be honest. Tea is really good but prices need to come down. Will check again when we are next in town.

Don't skip coming here! This place is so cool! Amazing aesthetic with GREAT iced chocolate drinks! I added a double shot of espresso in mine for an extra pep! We will be back every time we come to Dahlonega for sure!

The entrance is in the back not on the Main Street of the square. Make sure u stop here!

My fave stop in Dahlonega in the square is this shop. They have tea items and other fun things to see here. They can make you warm or cold tea and iced chocolate tea. So much to see here and it's a great store with a friendly staff. They r located in the lower side of the square not on top of the main square. Don't miss them!

So many awesome tea selections! The two gals working were so friendly and welcoming. They chatted with me, my friends, and their kids for a while. It's a cute shop in a cute town. I loved everything about it. I can't wait to brew some of their 'Georgia on My Mind' peach black tea that I brought home with me.

Happy family with My Vintage Gypsy Teas' hot chocolate.

We were lucky enough to start our visit to Dahlonega here and it was amazing! Not only was the hot chocolate the BEST I've ever tasted, but the owner & staff were so friendly and helped us with suggestions for the best local food & attractions. We went back every day of our visit, and it was the last place we went before we left to get some tea & hot chocolate to take home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is my favorite store in Dahlonega. Dec. 2020 I signed up for the tea of the month. I'm excited to see which tea I will get each month. Sometimes I get teas I normal wouldn't have tried but end up loving. Getting the teas online is great but it's nothing like going to the store. It's has a wonderful atmosphere and Kim & her staff are very friendly. Kim who owns the shop also blends most of the teas herself. Tell her what you like & she will get you the perfect time. The picture attach is my latest purchases, can't wait to try them all.

Fantastic chocolate indeed!! And cutest place. Spicy chocolate is a must try by the way

The decor is beautifully nature-inspired and the staff super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a cute little merch section and comfy seating throughout. I stuck around for the live music, the Threadbare Skivvies, and it was fantastic! The band was talented & there is ample seating. For $10, you can make a reservation for your own little table. Feel free to belly up to the bar and order a healthy drink. I ordered the Forest Tonic with ginger and fresh mint. It was delish!! It was also great to leave a lice music venue without a hangover, if you know what I mean. Lol I highly recommend Canopy & the Roots. It's obvious the owners have put in a whole lotta love curating this wonderful place.

The indoor seating is also great if you're looking to set up with a computer and get some work done, although seating is somewhat limited. We ordered the drip coffee, which actually came as a pour-over, and it was quite good! That's coming from people who take their coffee pretty seriously. They also had pastries available, although I do wish the selection had been a little wider. One thing worth mentioning is that this probably isn't the place to stop if you're in a rush or trying to get out the door quickly. They seem to move at their own pace, but for us, that pace worked perfectly. We were there to enjoy the coffee, the atmosphere, and the town, and that's exactly what we got. Overall, a great little coffee shop with good coffee, a charming atmosphere, and a location that's hard to beat. The experience was well worth the stop, and we'll certainly be back!

It looks like an episode of hoarders. There is just stuff EVERYWHERE. Some of the stuff looked cool but I was very overwhelmed. We were greeted by a woman who was sort of surprised we wanted a cup of coffee. The coffee was actually really good for regular drip coffee and very reasonably priced. Later that day I encouraged my mom to go in the shop to see the inside. She went in and upon entry, the same lady said, "my gift shop is closed. If you aren't here for coffee or dessert, you need to leave." My mom put up no fight and left. It was incredibly odd experience for all of this. The coffee was good but I'll never go back.

It will not disappoint if you can get through the front door, which is cluttered like a hoarders house. Once we walk through the tiny path between all the "antique gems", a deep awakening in our spirits happened. A spine, chilling moment. Something you would see on 60 minutes episode before a person was kidnapped. Suddenly a man from the back yelled out " you want a shot or a hot chocolate?". With fear and trepidation, we said no and he asked us if he scared us... we said "yes". We knew we had to get out of there fast. As we were trying to "escape", I saw a cat and tried to soften the awkwardness and talk to an older lady about the cat. Just as I did that, the older lady started yelling out. "They're not gonna buy anything, Jack! Why are they here if they don't wanna buy anything? They don't like our store? They should leave!!" He agreed and so did we! This has been the weirdest shopping experience of my life.

To…read moremy surprise, there was a Spice & Tea Exchange just a few shops down from where I was standing! This little tea shop is incredible! It feels like you stepped back in time with the creaky hardwood floors and the rows and rows of glass jars filled with teas, herbs, and spices. My kind of place. You can purchase their proprietary spice blends, seasonings, and rubs as well as their loose-leaf teas and organic teas. They have 85 handcrafted seasonings that are hand-mixed in store daily. They also offer flavored sugars, sea salts, and other lines including infused honeys and artisan extra virgin olive oils. They seriously have it all, so it's a great gift shop if you're looking to buy something special for a loved one. They also offer fresh-brewed tea made to order, and let you choose any of their loose-leafs available in house. I think that's so cool to have the ability to pick your tea on the spot and have it made just for you. I chose the Super Citrus Mint Herbal Tea over ice with NO sugar or sweetener (I like it as natural as possible), and it was exactly what I was looking for. Incredibly refreshing and also great immune support. Excited to come back for more spices and tea!

The lady at the front was extremely rude, not sure if she had a bad morning or what but we walked out and went on about our Dahlonega visit. I was very shocked and disappointed in her attitude, tone and behavior. I am still trying to figure out what happened for her to act that way, I was simply looking at a tea and asked a question followed by a comment on how I loved the smell. It was an odd interaction. Hopefully, they can talk to their employees on how to interact with customers better. We ended up having a fab time in Dahlonega and will be back but not to this store.

If you want statuary, she has it (And it's reasonably priced). Do you need a new Tarot deck? She has at LEAST 40 decks. Do you need incense? It's there. How about jewelry? Plenty to choose from. I wasn't disappointed in what I saw. And trust me, I saw a lot! The owner works there from open to close, every day, and it is a labour of love! The store was in transition from Samhain to the next holiday, and it was cluttered, but if there was something I wanted, she knew just where it was. We had a lovely chat about the local new age population, about local covens and the acceptance/nonacceptance of her shop. It's sad when the Pagan populace is having to lecture the Christians on "Do unto Others, as ye would have done unto you." but she's had to do a lot of that, with kids and adults alike. I ended up buying a gargoyle who was just too cute to pass up, A small little monster who begged me to buy him and a present for a friend who's having a bit of trouble with the ladies. We'll see what happens with it. Do I reccomend Simple Strands? You bet I do. I'd come here every day if I lived in this area. Sadly I'm in Florida, but when I visit, you can BET I'll be back!
