My daughter and I have been coming up here for the last. I can't say how many years and we always…read morecome to tiptop when we're looking for Oktoberfest T-shirts jackets sweaters, whatever. The owner and couple that run this place must be the best sales people on the planet! they are great people wonderful personalities and he will not let me leave unless I get something! He always finds me exactly what I'm looking for when I can't find it but just engaging with them is a joy How can a T-shirt shop be so fun? It's the people. I wish I knew their names and I will get it the next time but you have to go here and find you an Oktoberfest shirt or hippie shirt. Whatever you're looking for lots of volts wagon bus T-shirts sweatshirts Leather goods, knives, other things up at the front counter, but we just love coming in here and spending time with them and happily spending a little money with some people that make your day just that much better! My daughter won't let me buy her very much, and always fights with me on who's going to pay, but we never leave without a memory each year from Helen from the store. What can I say! In this crazy world we live in today these guys know how to make you comfortable how to smile and wear the latest fashions coming from Helen, which is been a staple for North Georgia for the 50 years I've been here just love this place. I highly recommend!

The store employee was incredibly rude. I have an 11yo son who is built a little bit bigger than…read morethe average 11yo - but that gave him absolutely zero right to hand my son a 3x ADULT shirt and say "here you wear this one." We purchased 4 shirts (roughly $23 a piece) and an $9 magnet - I'm not sure how that ended up being $200 - but maybe shop somewhere else. This place is a rip off.

Great little shop that is two fold. Come here to see the view of Tallulah Point. It's beautiful and…read morea free amazing view. They have binoculars you can use too. This is a shop you can buy souvenirs and also find out about the background of when Wallenda came here to walk across the highest point. Very cool spot to check out. They do not have restrooms here. They tell u to go down the street. There are restrooms and another beautiful view of Tallulah Point and Tallulah Gorge. Check it out and follow the signs.

Roadside Attraction Alert:…read more I loved the time I spent here for lots of reasons but honestly the view of the gorge from here isn't that impressive in the least, but it is free. You might as well grab a cold bottle of pop in the store on the first floor then head up the stairs and buy a square of fudge for a buck then walk out on the upper porch grab a stool and enjoy the view, if you have a pair of binoculars or a telescope you might have a chance of seeing something amazing otherwise enjoy the pop and cool breeze. Famed tightrope walker Karl Wallenda, founder of The Flying Wallendas, probably got the best view ever when he crossed the Gorge on a high-wire in 1970 or did J.A. St. John also known as Professor Leon, might have been the first to high-wire the gorge in 1886 other sources say a Professor Bachman walked the Gorge in 1883, regardless who did it or who did it first these guys had big balls. I won't claim to know the history of this place but there's no doubt the structure is nostalgic. It feels like the entire collection of buildings hangs precariously on the edge of a cliff (you must experience the upper porch to get the full effect). I think this would be a great location to set up a zip line across the gorge, now that's taking this collage of oddities to the next level. It's unbelievable that in this day and age that everything here is free except for the merchandise which clearly shows the lack of entrepreneurism but hey not everyone is a capitalist. It's a must stop if you're in the area if only to check in on YELP - I'm joking it's really like no other place on earth and the lady reading her book upstairs for hours on end makes some mighty fine fudge...
