    Aussom Salsa on sale today!

Absolutely love this place! Not only do they sell the best homemade mexican salsa, AUSSOM SALSA, but they sell so many interesting and nice antiques and vintage items! Go and visit often since new items come in all the time.

There are quite a few antique and souvenir shops on E Main Street in Blue Ridge, and it was honestly its front exterior that drew me to the inside. The layout is set up in stalls and some stalls are thematically organized based on inventory. Other stalls are just random vintage items that are for sale. Some common items are vintage tools, old books, vintage camping gear, and vintage art pieces. They also sell some souvenir items like homemade jams, woodcuts with personalized names, and postcards. There are also decals and car stickers of *extreme* southern pride, if you know what I mean, and it definitely reminded me that I wasn't in an urban setting. This place is huge and conveniently located and, honestly, is a gem for people who likes to look at these things, but for me, the layout was a bit confusing since there were similar items in the mall that were placed in different locations. Perhaps there's a reason, but I just don't know. Nothing too special jumps out at me since there are also other antique shops steps away on Main Street, but it's not bad checking this place out either.

These folks are sweet as pie and tell you that they are "grateful for your business" as you leave the store. And 1% of every purchase goes to charity. Be still, my heart! We stopped in while we were in town for Thanksgiving so there were a lot of Christmas themed gifts. Fun and witty ornaments aplenty, including an adorable stuffed unicorn that I regret not purchasing for myself. There were several brands of candles that all smelled heavenly, including my personal favorite candle the Capri Blue Volcano. I was surprised to see that scent came not just in the traditional blue jar, but also red and green to match Christmas decor. These candles aren't cheap, mind you, but they are so worth it! They offer lots of different hats and apparel, all of which either local, supporting local or just saying something witty. "Nature is calling and I must go", "Life is an Adventure" or "Happy Camper" are all sayings you'll see amongst the various items. Everything was of great quality and would make for excellent gifts or personal use. As a dog mom, I fully appreciated their dog section. Yes, you read that right. They have an entire section of the store catering to dog moms and dads. Yes, there are some cat items in there as well, but mostly dogs because dogs are awesome. Amiright? Tea towels, travel cases, picture frames, coffee mugs, etc. Plenty of gifts and fun items for those of us with fur babies. My favorite was a design by Blue Q that read "People I want to meet: 1. Dogs" They had a ton of homewares downstairs, so don't forget to visit down there if you're looking to add some cute accents to your home!
