We worked with Eric via email and he was great managing and making sure everything was settled ahead of the event. On the day of our lunch, we arrived around 20 minutes early and the table was already set up. We had two servers throughout the meal and they were lovely. They made sure everything was set up and we had everything we needed. For a large group reservation, they have a $60 minimum and you order everything ahead of time. (The afternoon tea set is mandatory for everyone to get). We had the afternoon tea set, caprese tarts and strawberry parfait for all attendees. The food was filling and tasty. Tea is always so good as well (I always get my Rose Lovers Milk Tea!) All in all, a great option for a group reservation in the city!

We got the Ube Crepe Cake and Chocolate Lava Cake. The size of both were the perfect amount since we just wanted something small to end the night. The ube crepe cake was really light and creamy. The ube flavor was pretty subtle, and I mostly tasted the cream. It's a perfect light dessert, but I would've liked the ube flavor to be stronger. The chocolate lava cake was super rich and decadent but also really delicious. I feel like it kinda battled with the ube crepe cake since they're total opposites. The staff were friendly. The interior was really cute and had a relaxing type of atmosphere that made it great for a nice place to sit, chat, and have dessert.

Upon arrival we noticed the difference in crowds. Not as busy and packed sidewalks. Also it was a lot cleaner than Chinatown. Since we just ate at C-Town, it was time to find a good dessert place in K-Town. So we walked and we walked until I saw a banner sign showing shaved ice desserts. Then I noticed the name of the business is Grace Street. How fitting, because that is my wife's name. So we went in and what caught my eye was a mango shaved ice with mangoes, mochi, strawberries, and condensed milk, however I was over ruled by my wife and we went with the black sesame and mochi and condensed milk. It also had red bean, but that had to be on the side, since that gives me gout. Such nice staff taking orders and we went into the dining area to find a seat. What a large spacious area with many tables. Our order came out and it looked so good. The black sesame shaved ice or snow as it's also referred to as, was perfectly sweetened by the condensed milk and the chewy mochi. Definitely cleaned my pallet from our Chinese lunch and it helped cool me down from the New York heat. We got water, but there was no ice offered, so I asked one of the workers and he was kind enough to get me some. We are through that dessert like, if we didn't finish it fast, it was going to melt. We did not give it a chance to melt one bit. The staff here are efficient, as they saw we were done, they asked to clear our dessert bowl away. It was a nice experience even if it was just dessert. They definitely had more dessert options to offer, but i

I really enjoyed their matcha basque cheesecake with a prominent, deep matcha flavor. The texture was pretty smooth and loved how it wasn't too sweet. The Ho-Dduk has the lovely combo of sweet brown sugar/caramel flavor and creamy vanilla ice cream. When its hot, the dough is super chewy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The mango bingsoo had a good mango flavor; wasn't too tangy nor too sweet. Mangoes were fresh for the season. The elixir or the matcha bingsoo was solid too, but I still preferred the strong matcha flavors from the cheesecake. Lines sometimes are long but it also moves fast! After ordering, you get a buzzer that will tell you when your desserts are ready. Lots of seating options from tables to high tops.

And when I asked for less, I was told that couldn't be done. I asked during multiple visits. And got drinks that were not well prepared due to my modifications. I gave this spot a shot multiple times, but it just kept disappointing. All the matcha drinks are too sweet and don't taste of matcha. Only of the added flavors. Vietnamese coffees are super sweet. Without condensed milk, they're just overpriced iced coffees. You can't regulate ice amount, so when you look at what you get, it's over 50% ice. Service leaves more to be desired. Staff are super young kids who barely look older than high schoolers. All seem scared and not properly trained in customer service. Or even talking to people and expelling & enunciating words. I had to re-ask multiple times to hear and understand what the cashier was saying. And that happened countless times, during every single visit. More should be invested in proper customer training. Spend your money elsewhere. There are plenty of better spots in the area.

They also offer a range of experiences: Traditional Gong Fu Cha Tea Tasting; Horizontal Flight; Private Collection Tea Tasting; Song Dynasty Whisked Tea; and private events. We reserved a Ming Dynasty Tea Tasting/Cultural Experience through airbnb (I don't see the exact same experience listed on their website), which included five rounds of tea brewing from one type of tea. The tea was delicious and the experience - so traditional - was beautiful and special. The experiences and the teas and teaware sold at the shop are a bit pricey (for example, one tea canister I saw was $135, and one teapot over $500), but it's a special experience. The service was great; we felt we learned so much. For anyone who loves Chinese tea or who wants to learn more, Jin Yun Fu is worth a stop!
