Tea do is an amazing accidental discovery. It is the only bubble tea place I will ever go to from know on. Everything is super fresh and tasty! Even my children were impressed, and they are very picky eaters/drinkers. The appetizers are very interesting and worth trying and we all loved the wing dings and curry fish balls.If you haven't tried it yet "go now" they have great hours for the busy on the go workers to the late night party rush. If I could give this place zero stars I would. First of all, the drinks are all ridiculously sweet. I've tried their milk teas, specialty drinks, and fruit smoothies and I have to ask every time for very, very, very, very, VERY little sweetener. Trust me, if you only say it once, the drink will still come out disgustingly sugary. If that's your thing, then you would like this place, but for me the only thing going for Teado is that the tapioca is large and chewy. Furthermore, the customer service is absolutely horrendous. I'm not sure what the place has done to make its workers so angry, upset, and hostile almost all the time. Either they barely acknowledge you or they will actually get annoyed at customers for taking too long to order or not having their money out immediately. I understand that they are busy, but there is no need to be rude. I actually saw one of the girls behind the counter yell at a customer who was picking up the order because apparently customers are not supposed to pick up orders on their own. Customers have to wait for their order to be called out even though the employees often leave the drinks on the counter for 5+ minutes after they're ready. The girl yelled, "JUST TAKE IT, THEN. TAKE IT!" after the customer tried to apologize and put it back. The whole ordeal was so entirely rude, undignified, and unprofessional that I left the line and walked out. Also, they don't have AC (or it doesn't work) and the place is tiny and often crowded because of slow customer service. read more

Tastes artificial and the black milk tea doesn't taste like tea at all, it should have a darker color. They were also watered down. Place can get very busy and noisy. Not recommended. read more

I really don't understand what the hype is all about for this place. Music is super loud, the employees never once smile when they take your order or when they give you the bill, and most of all, the drinks are super sweet and artificial. The Grasshopper is by far the worst on the menu, but even the rest of the menu (i've had a total of 9 drinks from them and not one did i drink more than half before throwing it out). It's really like drinking syrup with food coloring and bubbles at the bottom. Tea Talk is way better. They play music too, but not so loud that i can't have a conversation with my friends. Their jasmine green tea with bubbles is my favorite! Tea Do may have all the flashy-ness but Tea Talk is the real deal. read more

I was in Philly for the day with a friend who grew up there. He recommended Tea Do so of course we had to stop by. Such a busy busy busy atmosphere! But the wait time for the three drinks I ordered was pretty reasonable. I thought it would have taken a while but they were quick! I had the Japanese green milk tea and while it was a little sweet it was still pretty good. Later in the day, we came back for more and then I tried the simple black milk tea. A little bitter, but in a good way! Like it wasn't too artificially sweet, it was perfect. And both times all the girls and the young man at the register were working really hard! A shorter girl made her way through the crowd to take out this bag of trash that was almost 3x as big as her. I really like their diverse menu of bubble teas and the occasional food (despite the small selection of snacks). It's usually pretty crowded (at least anytime I went) and there are people everywhere standing, which can get a bit annoying but also goes to show how popular the place is. read more

a really nice touch to chinatown. this is more of a modernized bubble tea location with varied selections and specialized drinks in addition to your normal bubble tea flavors. they also have small food options which is great. the only bubble tea i ever get is taro and this is probably one of the best taro i had thus far. they also have a nice and polite staff. read more

Gonna be my new bubble tea spot in philly! Tried the passionfruit green tea w/ mango jelly STARS (yes the jelly came in the shape of a star!!! :) and my boyfriend had the original milk tea w/ tapioca. Best original that I've had in philly! I've never seen so many tapioca balls in one cup (amazing ugh!) and they were filling ALL the cups with that much tapioca! Next time, I definitely want to try one of their specials (there are so many)! Also get the kenshin onigiri (where can I buy these!?!) -- it was sooooo delicious and much better than the onigiri side at Terakawa Ramen. Tea Do is a place you go if you want to try bubble tea for the first time, but it's definitely not the best bubble tea place in Chinatown. There is nothing super special about the bubble tea here and if you wanted to enjoy bubble tea with a group of friends, it's probably a better idea to go elsewhere. Tea Do is always really crowded by noisy high school students and you always have to wait a while to get your drink. If you do go there, you should be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes just to order and get a drink, and you should walk around Chinatown with your drink instead of sit and play Jenga/socialize read more

This is the only bubble tea I've had in Philadelphia so I can't compare to others in the area. However, the milk tea tasted artificial; it had a metallic/chemical kind of taste. The color of the black milk tea was strange. Not what I'm used to and I didn't enjoy it. This is where the night life of chinatown begins. I've been going to tea do for about a year and every time I enjoy my cold jelly filled bubble tea. If there is a bubble tea place to go that's always full of energy and people its tea do! I must have tried a few dozen teas here and some I like more than other but I have to say my favorite is the classic thia iced tea. If your looking around chinatown to hangout with your group of friends tea do is a good spot you can drink tea and play board games, as well as listen to music. P.S. I love edamame and what do you know they make that too along with a few other snacks. read more

Don't get the honey dew milk tea bubble tea. It's definitely not fresh,it's kinda bitter, and it has a weird aftertaste. i threw it out right after i tasted it. the reason i gave it a 3 instead of 1 stars is because of the tropical twister. the drink was refreshing and yummy. i really recommend it. read more

I used to be torn between Tea Do and Tea Talk, but I'm sticking with the latter for the time being. The only reason is I found a fly in my bubble tea. And by found I mean, I chewed on it because a fly is black and round and looks like a tapioca pearl when amongst other black and round edible objects in liquid. Other than the lack of fly-repellant in the store, the tea and bubbles are usually very good. I also like that there are two drink sizes.
