I got the large milk tea with Lychee jelly with 50% less sweet. In a normal world, this would been my go to order and I would have enjoyed it, BUT this drink was super super sweet!!! The lychee jelly they put in there was way too sweet, which then made the whole milk tea sweet! Whats the purpose of getting it 50% less sweet when it went the other direction and it was 50% more sweet??? Stick to the bubbles and bypass lychee jelly unless you love sweet stuff!

Hands down the best place in EL for bubble tea. Been coming here every time I'm in town and need my fix and they're by far the most consistently good shop in town, which you'd never expect with it being in a mall food court. While I'm normally a grass jelly person, when I do get the tapioca bubbles, they're cooked perfectly and have just the right amount of sweetness. You're able to adjust sugar content of the drink to your taste and it's usually made in a relatively quick manner. My only gripe is that I wish the milk tea had a stronger tea taste. Usually it's a bit more creamy than what I'm used to and personally I do look for that stronger tea taste. Don't waste your time with other places and give them a shot.

Jasmine Milk Tea and Lychee Fusion.

under 1 star. dont wanna be mean but honestly they don't know how to make milk teas. sweet and the texture is weird. the milk from the milk tea is..overly disgusting. the plastic that covers my drink were not put on properly made me spilled it all over. And we ordered tea chat milk GREEN tea, they told us its the same as Jasmine . Lol no its not. Save some money and go somewhere else.

This is the best bubble tea place in the Lansing area. Flavors are better, choices are better.

Uni as in Michigan State Uni, and Cha as in tea. But in case you didn't know Cha was tea, they've put tea in the name too. So it says Tea Tea. Fun times. It's a Unicorn-themed tea place, and that alone deserves a high star rating. If I was rating just based on their drinks then I would have to give three stars despite how wonderful and friendly they are in here. They didn't have any tapioca or any other topping that I wanted. A lot of places - when they run out of tapioca - will still charge the full amount, which Unicha did, and it wasn't cheap. I really think they should give you something or knock off a dollar or something - that would be better customer service. On the other hand these guys were busy making elaborate Thai rolled ice creams for a whole bunch of cute young college girls who disappointed me by not really flirting with me. They did stare at my bunny on my arm a little bit and they did giggle and have wide eyes, but there certainly wasn't the sort of flirting that I hope for when I'm working out the way I do LOL. But that is beside the point. The point was it they had great customer service and that they rustled up my tea between the very long ice cream process for all the girls which meant that I could get out of there in a reasonable time since I wasn't doing the extensive ice cream making ritual that most people come here for. As for said ice cream. Honestly it looks pretty good and more often than not ice cream places doing Thai rolled ice cream do get it right. So I will give them 4 stars based upon the fact that they are more known for the rolled ice cream and it's pretty good. But I'll have to give it another try so that I can determine if I should lower to a 3 match the really really disappointing milk tea that went straight in the trash - or a 5 which is reserved for the very best Thai rolled ice cream places that I've loved the most. Or that I've loved the Moch, if they have Mochi as a topping. I even named my lovely little fierce deadly cat Mochi. What an awesome and cuddly kid he is. And lethal and fearless. Anyway I've already said too Moch, it's time to move on to the next review.

4.5/5 I will say…read moreeverytime I've stopped by Koi Tea, they've consistently served up the perfect bubble tea drink. I've tried a lot of drinks off their menu, including the one they modified for a seven-year-old who wanted a non-tea, but hot chocolate drink with the tapoica pearls. I'm not sure if it's the workflow of making the bubble tea here that makes it perfect or if it's the individual working the register- somehow it's always worked out. And the ambiance- absolutely relaxing. Nothing beats the YouTube Korean indie and rnb mix playing on TV with the faux vines curving around shelves and the walls, with an open window space concept (tons of light)! Something that I look for with bubble tea places are how consistently their tapoica pearls are cooked through and Koi Tea has been stellar. In previous visits, I've had their viet coffee with pearls, thai tea, and I would likely pick their fruit teas over the milk combos. Sometimes the milk teas end up pretty sweet even when ordered for 50% sweetness.

Koi Tea used to have some of the best boba in Michigan. Unfortunately, things change and the…read morequality here has really declined. We stopped by on our last drive through Lansing and got: Jasmine Milk Tea, 100% Sweet w/ Boba ($6.00) - There was no tea flavor whatsoever in this drink. It tasted pretty much just like sweetened creamer. The boba also did not have a consistent texture. Most of it was way too soft and was basically like overcooked mush. A minority of the boba was only a tad on the soft side and had a good chew, which was reminiscent of the boba here a year or two ago. It feels like Koi Tea mixed two batches of boba together, which is a huge faux pas for any boba establishment. I have no idea what happened to Koi Tea in the last year. Given stiff competition down the road and the quality this time around, I wouldn't go here again.

It's obnoxious that the service is so terrible, so consistently, because this is right along my path home and I'd enjoy the convenience of getting a smoothie every once in a while. I've also gotten bad attitude from the workers for no reason at all. I can remember driving away wondering what I did for them to talk to me the way they did. I was thinking it was taking excessively long, but I didn't make it known. I was just polite and waited for my 30 minute smoothie in the drive through. That's it. I went back for the final attempt today and again waited 15 minutes to order. When I paid, a very unfriendly young male took my card and did not even say a word to me. I'm calling corporate to notify them of all this. Our community has higher standards for our business than this. Not acceptable.

Then last time we had some good Jamba was last year in California, so I ran into this location when I first spotted it in May. The people working here both times were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This is a nice location next to Target on the main strip across from MSU and is also an Auntie Anne's pretzels. We got a large smoothie which my daughter enjoyed and finished every last drop. I got their cloud iced match tea. At first it was not very sweet and did not have enough foam but they were more than happy to remake it. I did not want them to waste, so they just added more sweetener and then it was perfect. I do hope this place lasts. There is another smoothie place a couple doors down and honestly I have seen more customers coming out of the competition and we have been the only ones here both times but Jamba is one of our favorites and plan on returning again soon. Perhaps once school starts back up this place will have a lot of traffic and there are so many things we want to try like their bowls and cold brew.
