The staff here was really nice and super helpful. We were undecided on what to order because they had so many options, but they let us know that if we didn't like it, they'd remake it for us, which was amazing. The boba was DELICIOUS. I've tried many places around the area, but this one has definitely made me want to come back for my next cup. The milk tea house special wasn't too overly sweet and had a unique, almost burnt flavor, but in a good way. Honestly, I didn't even take pictures because I downed it right away. The mango smoothie was FANTASTIC! hands down the best mango slush I've had at any boba shop. The boba itself was perfectly chewy. I love that it's in a close neighborhood area too, making it easy to swing by. The only downside was that it was 6 PM and they close at 8 on Sundays, yet all the chairs were already put up. I love tea bear and visited them often when they first came and A LOT as I was getting my house ready to go on the market. I got so obsessed with the mangolava. Especially because the first time (during recent months), the girl made my drink so damn good, I was chasing that one. The subsequent drinks, yes DRINKS, were good but didn't match hers. She is a young Asian girl if you catch her in there. I've had other drinks, the price is similar to all these type of businesses. Sometimes, the wait can be long and one time I went, they were definitely having some kind of sewage situation going on. Idk if with the restaurant or the complex but the smell was unpleasant. I saw the mixed reviews, so I figured I'd give these folks a shot on my way home. Offering creamy, milky, fruity, refreshing, and everything in between, you can really make whatever creation you want here. As a family run business I appreciate the variety of menu offerings and would love to grow with them as they navigate perfecting the plethora of recipes! I ordered something called the grasshopper which comes with lychee tea, cucumber juice, and basil seeds. It sounds healthy ish, but more than anything else, I'd call it refreshing. It was not super sweet (which I appreciate), and hit the spot in battling the 90 degree heat on my drive home. From the friendly service, to the variety, to the product I received, I'm all smiles and as soon as I find a way to consume these teas without the sugar and calories, mark my words, I'll be here everyday! First time here, we order oolong tea and Thai tea with boba. I wish I can put higher ratings. However, I have to take points off because the boba tastes bad. Although the tea tastes good. The boba pearls clumps together and tastes overcooked. We stop by mainly for the boba, I expect they know how to cook it. I could have done better at home. The boba balls clumps together so it takes some effort to separate them to drink, not to mention choking hazard when you try to suck it up through the straw. The tastes of their tea is authentic and tasty. The employee is friendly but need better training on different types of tea and tastes to recommend for new customers. I hope this helps for some adjustments. I'm willing to give it another try to support small business in the Cypress area. The two stars us for the friendly staff. I can in last night and it was a small shop and it was a little loud, because of the amount of people in there (peak time on a weekend). I usually get green teas or herbal teas or basic milk teas when I go to these boba shops, but I wanted a sweet treat. Usually when you order a cookies and cream smoothie it's ice, Oreos (or an off brand equivalent), milk, and sugar (sucrose). Blended together and bam tasty creamy treat. This wasn't gross by any means, but I did chuck it in the trash after 3 sips. It tasted like ice and chocolate milk mix or something. They drizzled chocolate on the cup which was pretty but honestly their was nothing cream about it. It was ice and chocolate flavor. It was water and icey not smooth at all. I wouldn't recommend their smoothies. Their taro milk tea looked good I regret not ordering one. I've worked at a boba shop before when I was younger and I was really disappointed last night. I think their drinks are just okay... I've been here a handful of times and its the closet boba shop to my house. Each time I go, I always try something new in hopes I can find a drink that satisfies my love for milk tea, or even just a refreshing fruit tea. I'll order what most people rave about on Yelp, or even ask for recommendations when ordering. So far, I have yet to find anything that I truly enjoy. So far I've tried the Grasshopper, Lychee red tea with lychee jelly (My least favorite, and taro carnival. Milk tea was bland not enough tea flavor . There wasn't enough milk in the milk tea . Id rather get it somewhere else.

We waited a good while for our drinks. It seems like they don't have a good system in place for making drinks, because people who had been there before us hadn't even gotten their drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Yogurt drink and it came out looking nothing like the picture...Taste wise it just tasted like juice with popping boba. I was not impressed. I guess this place is the best in the area? I order the Thai tea and Hawaiian paradise. Thai tea tasted water down. It wasn't rich in flavor and felt like thickness form the cream was missing. The boba is labeled as caramel but tasted like regular boba. The cashier was nice and friendly but that wasn't the issue. My wife and I ordered three drinks and my Thai tea came out in less than 5 minutes. 3-4 minutes later my Hawaiian paradise came out. Then probably another 5 minutes later my wife's drink came out. We saw her drink sitting in the counter but wasn't attended too. It was weird that other people got their drink before we did. Actually there was a man and two kids who was there before us and got their drinks almost the same time we did. I am writing this with a heavy heart. I hate giving low ratings but have faith they can pull it together being it's a new store opening! I have been there 4/5 times now. I found the staff delightful and caring...this is why I have hope they can pull the consistency together. Boba Bear is very clean which I appreciate. I do think staff can be a bit more helpful for clients especially since there are those like me that aren't super familiar with the concept. I've been to similar establishments but not often. Especially since they have over 50 tea menu items and 12 Signature Drinks. Open with something like have you ever been her before? Or have you ever been to a tea house? Based on answers you can steer them in the right direction. Me I prefer the Smoothies with those delightful exploding boba beads and the Jelly chunks. The trouble I'm most having trouble with is the consistency. Drinks haven't been made the same way I go between 2 smoothies. In fact the 1st try for the Mango Lava was a religious experience almost...very close to the new Mango margarita at Gringo's! I went back a couple of days ago bought 2 of them. 1 to take to a friend. Horrible...not Mango tasting at all. at $5+ a drink you need to do better, much better. They gave me a sample of the Pina Colada no coconut taste to it. Same thing happened with the other Smoothie I like. Not consistent with a Pineapple taste. I have not asked for my money back because I was trying to cut them some slack. This is a starter location the taste of theses are really good. I refuse to try the Cheetos one. I have a Pen Pineapple Pen. I don't know what that means . I appreciated the imagination used for the names and mixes. I think I would feel more comfortable if I could see what they are putting in my smoothie/bubble tea. Everything is in the back and I am very skeptical about syrups. A lot of bob a places make them with fruit syrup vs real fruit. You really have to look around. Teenagers working there were very sweet, but the smoothies I did were not so great. We usually do Fusion 36 off Barker Cypress but I was a little too tired to drive. I'm thinking this is a case of it's offered on the menu but not their specialty. I had a cookies and cream shake that was drinkable but icy and more honest to a chocolate shake; my husband had a mango smoothie with boba and didn't think the texture of the boba was what we normally gets at other Boba Tea Houses. Overall, the facilities were clean, the customer service was good, just wasn't what we like. I went here pre-opening when they had their samples which was a wonderful idea. I tried their mango green tea and house special (most like classic milk teas with a more coffee flavor) and I'm so glad that they opened near me. I've become quite picky about my milk teas and I can tell you this, the house special is worthy. They've been open for less than a month and every time I've went they've had great customer service and delicious drinks. I've been going to Tea Beat tea house for like 5 years and it's awesome!! Lots of flavors!!

Came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon (we saw an ad for buy 1 get one 1/2 off in the community paper) and decided to give it a try. We love bobas and smoothies but always have to drive at least 20 minutes to get a decent one. This one is slightly closer for us (15 minutes) so I was hopeful that it'd be our new go-to boba spot. I was glad to see that, when we walked in, there was a good crowd already inside (don't like when we're the only people in a place we're just trying out). It wasn't crowded though... maybe 15 ppl total. The place is clean and they have board games available so could be a great hangout place. My 2 boys started a game of chess while we waited for our order. Prices are comparable to other boba places we've been to. Selection, however, is lacking IMO. They also have a small selection of "finger food/appetizers" but it's not advertised anywhere on their menu, which I thought was very odd. The young lady working the cash register, Dina, was very friendly and seemed like she was doing most if not all the work EVEN THOUGH there was another lady behind the counter. I did not get a good impression of that 2nd lady - I tried asking her a question (my son wanted to know what was in the triple berries smoothie). I swear she looked right at me and then just went about doing whatever she was doing without so much as even acknowledging me. When Dina was done helping customers in front of us, she promptly answered my question and was patient with us as we decided what we want. The orders (4 smoothies) took a LONG time to come. We've been to other boba places with larger crowds and have not had to wait as long as we have here. Almost an hour for 4 drinks is beyond ridiculous IMO. It's a smoothie... nothing special or fancy about it. When we finally got our order, the kids loved their smoothies (triple berries, mango-strawberry, and mango w/strawberry poppers) and I was happy with mine (taro boba). One star is for Dina's exceptional customer service and hard work. One star is for the boba/smoothies itself. And one star for the cleanliness and potential to be good hangout place. The fact we had to wait so long just took away from the whole experience. Don't think we'll be back (even the kids weren't keen on coming again)... We usually go to another business by the outlet but unfortunately they were closed!!! So I Sent my sister to grab "brown sugar milk tea" to this establishment and she came back with milk only and boba. The sticker on my cup said black boba latte I went back to tell them we had a wrong order they said no that's exactly what you get so I asked more details none of the drinks have tea in it she said no just milk like whattt at this point I'm confused bc they have the name that says "tea" they have drinks and the drink displayed says "tea" but they said no no tea.. I let it go asked if they can swap it out for what I was looking for which originally they said yes but then when I mentioned my receipt she's like oh well we already went over this with the girl who ordered the drink and gave her a whole explanation soooooooo I then asked soooo you guys can't swap it mind you as a customer if you're not happy with your order as a business you would want to satisfy or make the customer happy but she said No so not only were they deceiving and yes you can't have a business who sells tea but they have no tea in their drinks but they didn't give me a resolution no refund no swap of the drinks nothing just a "have a good day" so its disappointing when you want to support a small Business but once they take your money it's a "no" all the way around...I won't be back and they were fine with that. To her response down at the bottom: Since the manager was so quick to reply yet still didn't have a resolution..AT end of the day full disclosure or not when a customer is unhappy you try your best to make it right did I ask for a refund yes but when I spoke to a manager I specifically said can I just go ahead and swap it out and she said yes at first but again when I told her I have the receipt she said NO and so it wasn't about the refund its the principal about no resolution.. this manager wants to prove a point and refuses to show accountability when it's not even about a refund.. I paid $13 for milk when I can drink a glass a milk at home so when I'm dissatisfied with what I I ordered especially bc I paid for it it only makes sense to make it right as the business so it's not the refund I'm upset about it's the fact that there was no resolution at all to say hey we'll swap it for you or something... read more

I'm from Cali and we take our boba seriously, especially in the South Bay. Since I moved here about 8 months ago I couldn't find a decent boba place. Here at this place they already know my name because I usually go after work. They are gracious enough to take my drink order over the phone so I can pick it up on my way home. I crave their Blooming Rose with Aloe jelly.
