The naan with garlic was rich, and the pakoras were perfectly fried. Service was good but not great. This is one area that they can work on. There was only us with our friends, and another couple in the whole restaurant. And our service was sporadic. It was really pretty in there. Fine dining with Indian food. And now that Kazana's is closed, this might be the place to go for a nicer atmosphere. Try it out! We are glad we did.

We had the Chicken Haleem, which can be described as a fragrant slow cooked stew with a porridge-like consistency. It is made by blending grains, lentils, and meat into a thick, creamy consistency. It was extremely flavourful and went well with the garlic naan. We also had the Goat KARAHI, the family style naan (the presentation of this was the star of the show) served on an upright, massive platter, the sizzling chicken kebabs, the LAHORI Fish and Keer (rice pudding) for dessert. All were especially unique with rich and robust textures. This was a great choice for a Sunday afternoon early dinner with friends. We arrived around 4:00 PM and were able to easily find a table, but the restaurant started to really pick up around 6:00 PM so if you're going during peak dinner times, I would suggest making a reservation. It's a fairly new location on the Southside of Edmonton on Parsons Road SW. The architectural design/decor and vibrant art pieces are all interesting and reflective of food being prepared in Pakistan. They made for great conversation pieces. Our favourite is the Kadak chai which is a combination of ginger, black tea, milk, cardamom, and other spices. The richness comes from how it's made, not just the ingredients. Instead of quickly steeping tea, the tea, milk, and spices are boiled together for several minutes. This gives the chai a stronger, richer, and creamier flavor. Very authentic and addictive! They also have Indian street food. I believe it is all vegetarian. I have tried the chaat-papri and vegetable pakora. Both were delicious. They also have a large selection of paratha's.
