I found and decided to contact TDE because of fellow yelpers! THANK YOU! Meeting Otis and after speaking to him, I already know he's the guy I want to EMCEE my wedding! I have 1/2 English speaking guests and 1/2 Cantonese speaking guests, so I really want an Emcee that's bilingual. We hired Otis as Emcee and we also got their DJ service, and Engagement & wedding day photographer. Emcee: Otis was GREAT! exceeded our expectations! Everyone at the party was entertained and they complimented Otis many times to me personally. He was friendly and he knows EXACTLY what he's doing. Hire him if you want the party to be fun! Dj: Carina was the DJ and she works really well with Otis, we have some last minute changes and some guests wants to make last minute toasts, but Carina worked well with all the changes. Photographer (Eric) : He was GREAT! BETTER THAN I EXPECTED! He's just a great guy in general. Very friendly and nice to work with. He arrived at the party early and was actually helping out setting tables (I constantly tell him its okay and he should relax but he keep saying its fine and keep helping) , and he was calming me when I want to explode on few cases. His photos are great and I couldn't have anyone better as a photographer. Great guy! Overall, I LOVED their services and I'm super happy how everything turned out with TDE!! Will definitely recommend TDE to all my friends and families! Thank you again Otis, Carina, & Eric! Viv & Simon read more

I would give TDE more stars if I could Our wedding was perfect and I couldn't have done it without TDE! Thank you soo much for making our day one of the most special days of our whole life! We used their service; photographer, videographer, flowers, backdrop, MC and DJ, and banquet decoration. MC and DJ & Audio: Highly recommend Otis Fang, he was very professional. He is very well known in the bay area because of his radio work. There were lots of his fans in our guest crowd. All our guests were entertained by his great performance. Otis MC'ed for us in both Cantonese and English. He and his assistant DJed our wedding for 340 people and everyone raved about it. He really entertained the crowd. DJ played the song list we provided. I used their professional audio system since it is a big party and it was well worth it. The system was loud and clear felt like we were having a mini concert. Photographer: We hired their photographer for engagement and wedding photos. They have few photographer in selection, just meet with TDE and they will show you the photos work from each photographer so you can choose the one that meets your expectation. The photographer they provided is incredibly professional and we have received lots of compliments from it. Our friends from Hong Kong even commented the pictures are even better than the one they have seen in Hong Kong. He captures that in an artistic and professional manner. I highly recommend using their photographer. Videographer: At first, I thought there wasn't a need to hire videographer because I could've asked one of my friend to do it on my wedding. After met with TDE and they showed me what's the videographer work, I was quickly attracted by it. The videographer filmed the event and professional edit them like a movie! It is professional edited and very lovely. It is something you can not have done it on your own. TDE also helped us filmed a Love Story and the video was shown during our banquet, the video was very touch and it made our guests cried watching it.. lol.. I need to stop saying it, but hiring the Videographer is really worth it. Wouldn't have our guests cried without the special Love Story they made for us. Be sure to ask about the Love Story when you meet with TDE, we highly recommend it! Backdrop and decorations: Cake table, sign in table, head table were decorated in the way my wife wanted!! They have lots of design to choose from when you meet with them. Save you the trouble decide on the design since they have many samples and past work photos to show you at TDE. Love the decorations they done to us, it was exactly what we wanted. Flowers: Purchased their flowers package and car decoration package. You can make subtitiution request but that will charge extra. Wedding coordinator: Otis (MC) and Carina was our wedding coordinator, they are very helpful, communicative and great at planning a wedding. They truly cares about our wedding and making the best possible day for us. They will provide a run-down of the schedule so it is very stressfree when everything is planned ahead. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Staff members worked very hard to ensure our day was perfect and stress free. We couldn't asked for a better well organized company to plan our wedding. They have met all our specific needs and instruction. I highly recommend them as your one-stop wedding services. read more

Before coming to TDE, we have visited two other shops who also provide one stop services, but both my fiancé and I like TDE the most and we're glad that we've made the right decision! Photography: Ben is very professional, he's there early for both our engagement and wedding day. The pictures are beautiful, but I'm a perfectionist and I request to make further retouch on some of them, without a question, they are willing to retouch it according to my request, which came out really nice! Videography: Stanley is our videographer and I love my video! I can't stop watching my wedding highlight video over and over again lol. They also offer a link for me to easily send it to overseas family/friends to view it. Decor/flowers: I cannot picture how it loos like even though after several meetings with them and looking into similar samples. My jaw dropped as I stepped into the ballroom, its exactly what I'm looking for in my wedding, I'm truly grateful! Makeup: Carol is professional and patient. She would listen and offer advises to me. My biggest concern is I've one slightly bigger eye than the other, but she's able to perform the magic and so it looked "balance"! MC/DJ: Jackson is an amazing MC! Many guests have compliment on how lively and entertaining he is. He always came to us throughout the night and check on us to ensure everything is okay, which we really appreciated. Overall, TDE truly impressed us with all their services and I'd recommend them to anyone. read more

We were so happy with the service (i.e. DJ and emcee) that TDE provided. My fiancee (wife now) and I live in New York, and we had our wedding in the Bay Area. Most of my communication with Carina was done via email, in which Carina always responded in a timely manner. We met with Carina and Otis Fong, the emcee, 3 days before the actual event to discuss the time line of the reception. Since we had no clue on how to proceed, they provided great insight and what we should and should not do. When we showed them the layout of the reception, which was held at the Hong Kong East Ocean Restaurant in Emeryville, it clearly showed that they already knew the layout of this place and where to set up everything. When we arrived at the restaurant, everything was setup and ready to go. We informed them that most of our guests were Chinese (Mandarin) and English speaking. Otis did an awesome job of translating so that everybody can understand and also keeping people involved. Everybody enjoyed the games that were played. Throughout the night, Otis kept me informed as to whether we are on schedule. For the most part, we were ahead of schedule, which allowed us to have more time at the end to dance or karaoke. I highly recommend using TDE if you are looking for a DJ/emcee. Even after the wedding, my English speaking friends are still talking about Otis and how great he was. Again, thank you so much for everything you did! read more

All we can really say is that they were simply amazing and so so so easy to work with (Carina, Otis, Jessica, & Grayson). They literally came to the rescue when I as a bride was scrambling for vendors due to unfortunate drop outs. We hired them for just custom gobos, lighting and decor & let me tell you they definitely deliver. All I had from my 450+ wedding guest was all compliments on how magical the feeling it was & how honor they were to present in our happily ever after event. As a designer myself, I have high expectations & not much get pass my OCD but they did. I highly recommend them for any events. Really, their attuned to detail is so impeccable. :) read more

For our October 2016 wedding, we booked TDE for Emcee, DJ, Sound/audio for our ceremony, flowers, and custom gobo. We received excellent service from them from beginning to end! Jessica Li helped us so much with coordination of the wedding day festivities, gave us her opinions when asked, and was super patient and flexible with us. Jackson, our Emcee, has a likeable personality, was clear when he spoke, and had commanding presence. We received so many compliments about his emceeing and about how smoothly and on time the evening's events went. THANK YOU TDE for having made this process so painless and enjoyable! read more

We used the "The Day Entertainment " for emcee and DJ services. Otis spoke in English and Cantonese. In addition, he sang a few Chinese songs. The DJ played my chosen songs as listed in our banquet rundown. Also, they provided me a DVD slide show program to help me make my banquet slide shows a SUCCESS! read more

I was referred to TDE from Champagne Seafood Restaurant, where I had my wedding banquet. I used their Emcee & DJing services and my family was extremely happy with the entire evening. Otis Fang was the person that helped us plan our schedule of events for that evening. He also emceed for us in both Cantonese and English. He really warmed up the guests before the dinner started, kept the evening moving with games and participation from our family and friends. He'll make the wedding games as tame or as fun as you want. And he offered us some great suggestions when we had no idea what we wanted. If you have a chance to book Otis, I would recommend him, 100% for any of your emcee needs. He was so great to work with, so patient with me and family's needs. As for the DJ, we were given a list of events that we could choose the songs for, including our entrance, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, and our first dance. For one of our songs, we chose "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler, which isn't even on the Wedding Singer's soundtrack. BUT, the DJ found us the song we wanted. So don't be afraid to ask for the songs you want. You might be pleasantly surprised. =D The DJ also edited down our 1st dance song, so that our guests weren't watching us on the dance floor for 5 mins. It's also a good option to keep in mind, if that's something you want to do. Many of my guests told me what a great time they had at the event. It was fun and interactive. Not your usual Chinese banquet where you just go, eat dinner, and just go home. I did not book our photography or videography needs with them, because we had a family friend who was already doing that for us. However, I did get a chance to see some of photos they had done for other weddings, and it's really good. So, if you're not sure, just ask to take a look. It really couldn't hurt. And this one-stop shop operation really makes planning your wedding banquet painless... It was for me! Thanks Otis!!! read more

Thank you Otis so much for making the night go so smoothly and making it entertaining for everyone!! Everyone at TDE has been instrumental to our successful wedding night. TDE Wedding is one of the few One Stop Shops for wedding planning in the bay area. We visited 3 other shops and chose TDE because of their professionalism and credibility as demonstrated by their emcee Otis during our first meeting! They utilize a Service Instructions document that tracks all the details to the whole wedding planning process and we knew that nothing will go wrong if we have that to keep both TDE and us on track! We chose TDE's Platinum Package which comes with prewedding photography with makeup and gown rental, day of photography/videography, DJ/Emcee and all the big decorations that you will need for your wedding! TDE is flexible in letting us substitute services that we didn't want for services that we needed but was not included, such as chair covers, photo canvas/albums, bridesmaid bouquets, and additional flowers! There is a fee for everything that you want to add to the services that are not already included in their package options, so make sure to do your math and choose the package that will save you the most! We had a very good and smooth experience throughout the whole planning process with frequent and quick email turnarounds with our wedding planners Jessica and Denise despite the slow start in the beginning. The photographer Ben was super fun to work with and he makes the photoshoot stress less by creating fun conversations and teaching us all the poses! Francis was a talent when it comes to makeup despite all the challenges with hair and skin that you might throw at her! Otis was an awesome emcee during the reception and was able to keep the environment fun and lively for everyone! He was very flexible with the schedule and was able to adjust when things were running behind! We are glad we went with TDE for a stress free wedding planning and everything turned out just the way we imagined! read more

I used TDE for the floral arch and entrance decorations for the ceremony. I was worried that TDE won't be able to cater to my needs as they seem to be more of a full-on wedding service company. However, it turned out that my worry was unnecessary because my key contacts, Carina and Jessica, were super patient and responsive. They guided me through the process and provided several mockups for the arch to ensure I'm satisfied with the result. I'm grateful that I was able to adjust the mockups because the original flower color I chose wasn't as vibrant so I decided to add a few different colors of flowers. Otis and team helped install the arch on the day of the wedding and the arch looked amazing!! Highly recommend TDE and thanks again for making my ceremony a dream come true!! read more

I hired TDE to do my wedding in September of 2016. To say the least, my husband and I are very pleased with their services and had an amazing time working with them. They are responsive, attentive, and professional. Mcee: if you are looking for a Cantonese / English bilingual mcee, you will not regret TDE. Jackson was our mcee and was fantastic! Photography: I'm so happy they were able to capture our special day, because the pictures look fabulous Photo booth: variety of props for funny photos! DJ: great choice of music. And they are very welcome to music suggestions Decoration/lighting: they paid really close attention to detail! I have crazy OCD, and they managed to do everything perfectly! This review is for the DJ/MC. My wife and I recently had our wedding hosted by TDE. Our host was Ken and he did a great job. He was able to perform every scheduled task as we requested and was very professional in handling last minute changes. He was entertaining and kept our guests engaged. The DJ was on point, never missing a music cue that we requested. The pair provided everything we had asked for. We recommend them to others who would like an emcee or dj for their wedding. read more

My wife and I were in search for an emcee with bilingual capabilities (english/cantonese) and we found TDE on yelp! We decided to make an appointment to see what TDE has to offer. The front end personnel was very professional and of course, the emcee himself, Otis was very approachable and professional as well. In addition to the emcee, we also booked the DJ service with the slideshow projector rental. The planning was pretty smooth since Otis has worked with our venue in the past and he is familiar with the layout so his suggestions were on point. On the day of the wedding, the speakers and microphone were loud and clear! The most important thing was that Otis performed as expected with english and cantonese accommodations! You will not be disappointed. Thank you TDE! read more

The Day Entertainment (TDE) is a one-stop shop that satisfies all your wedding needs while delivering impeccable, top-notch customer service that would make any anxious bride and groom feel more at ease. One year prior to our wedding date, we met with Otis and Jessica for a consultation. We were immediately convinced by their professionalism and trusted them to effectively execute our wedding day plans. Jessica was our coordinator. She was a new hire at the start of our service, but our experience with her was nothing short of perfect. She was a terrific communicator and her ability to effectively delegate tasks were evident on our special day. Moreover, she has great interpersonal skills and was always patient and understanding, which were much appreciated in times where we had concerns, needed additional time to meet deadlines or had to make changes to our service agreement. For our special day, we opted for the platinum package which included day-of wedding service planning, an engagement photo session (2 hrs) with make-up and hair-do services, a wedding gown and evening gown rental, day-of wedding day photography and video (10 hrs), emcee and DJ services (4 hrs), reception decoration ( photo back drop and headtable back drop), floral services and day-of make-up and hair-do services. Due to personal preferences, TDE was very flexible and allowed us to substitute services such as eliminating floral services/reception decoration for more lighting, extended DJ services, etc. This was especially important for us because we were able to make our own bouquet and head table floral décor and wanted to use to funds for other necessities. For venue decoration and linens (not formally offered by TDE), we hired another company so I can't rate the quality of that particular service. The photography team were also a great pleasure to work with. Sam and Ben was a fun duo and was very easy-going, given the "rough" terrain of our engagement photoshoot location. They had a positive attitude and we absolutely loved the dramatic- style of photos they produced. The photography/ videography team for the wedding day consisted of Ben, Josh and Christine. They all had great personalities, great photo ideas and was easy to work with. I especially liked having a girl on the team because she was able to understand things from a girl's perspective and I really appreciated when she told me my hair was messy or how to pose for a photo. Based on his raving reviews, we requested Otis and was not disappointed at all! It's natural for the bride and groom to feel panicked in the last hour before "show-time", but Otis took over and worked with the bridal party to make sure they were prepared for the grand entrance. Otis was charismatic, funny and a great speaker, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without him or the rest of the TDE team! If I had to get married a second time (which I hope I won't have to), I would DEFINITELY hire TDE again! read more

These guys are great entertainers and I recommend for light-hearted, upbeat, wedding receptions. They were able to energize a large crowd of all ages and there wasn't a dull moment. People enjoyed themselves, sometimes at our expense, but it was all fun and memorable in the end. People felt comfortable enough that by the time the dance floor opened up, everybody joined, way more than we were expecting. What's most important is that we were able to not worry about the evening events, and things went smoothly. They are very on top of the program, and will prompt you in a timely manner. They kept the atmosphere light and cheerful, and had fun and games for everyone to keep them engaged. They will work with you to get the music you want played during the reception, so you have a DJ included with the package. Personally, I am more hands on with the music I wanted to be played, and had come up with a long list that could fill up the entire evening. Though there were enough events to fill up the entire night such that there was no way to play my entire selection, one thing I wished was done was that more songs from my list were played instead of playing a partial list and doing repeat. We also had a hiccup in the reception that was none of The Day Entertainment's fault, but they were able to help us out on. It turned out that nobody brought the slideshow to the reception. While our friend graciously rushed out to to get it, the guys at The Day were flexible enough to move things around with the program and to improvise along the way. In our case, we were lucky enough that our friend came back with the slides just in time to show to the guests. All in all, the team works well together and were flexible to our needs. My wife and I would recommend them. read more

With TDE's help, our company's grand opening was a great success. We're choosing them between two other vendors, and they do stand out from the other two. They put everything together for us within one month! From catering scouting to red carpet rental... Otis has been helping us throughout the process and he has been responding to all my colleague and my emails promptly; I also noticed he replied after hours so we're able to receive his email the first thing morning, which is very helpful because we're running short of time. We look forward to work with them again in our annual dinner! read more

I'm so glad that we've chosen their full wedding planning service, which sure ease a lot of our stress throughout the entire process! At first, I thought I can manage the wedding well without a planner and we were reluctant about spending couple thousands on it, but I have to say the negotiations and discounts they obtained with my venue and vendors save us a lot of money and time in return! I have to be honest that the entire process is much more overwhelming than I thought it'd be; without TDE, I can imagine there will be lot of sleepless nights, hiring them is one of the best decision made! Thanks so much for your hard work! read more

My husband and I worked with TDE for our wedding this past October, and we truly enjoyed working with the whole team. Since we currently live in Southern California, they were very accommodating towards our schedules when it came to our in-person meetings, and our communications through email and phone went smoothly. The whole wedding planning experience was made easier with TDE, especially since there are so many details that go into the big day! They were helpful in providing suggestions for our venue decorations and overall timeline of the day. On the day of, the photographer and videographer were so great to work with. They helped capture amazing shots and were patient when it came to organizing big groups of people! Our banquet reception was held at Tai Wu Restaurant, and the team who decorated the space (head table backdrop, photo backdrop, sweetheart table, etc.) did such a beautiful job. They really transformed the space! It was very important to us to have an emcee who spoke both English and Cantonese so we were very happy how Otis kept the reception running smoothly. He was also very accommodating and professional. The DJ stayed true to the music genres we enjoyed, and everybody had a fun time dancing the night away at the end! TDE offers so many services and deliver amazing work that I'd highly recommend them to anyone who's embarking on the wedding planning journey! read more

We went with TDE for their DJ-ing and MC-ing services. Carina and Otis assisted in planning the various activities and timing of the reception. Prior to the reception, we had a well outlined itinerary of when the MC does the family announcements, serving of the meals, etc. Our MC Otis was fluent in English and Cantonese and spoke in both languages without any accent that would diminish the meaning. What I mean by that is that I've met several others who can speak both but either their English or Cantonese was broken. Otis does both with flying colors. Another thing is that we had to rearrange our outline a little the day of since our videographer needed more time for the same day edit. Otis had an arsenal of games to keep the guests occupied until our videographer finished. I GIVE THEM TWO THUMBS WAY UP. read more

TDE is a very professional wedding vendor! We knew from them on our friend's wedding last year and we were impressed by their service. When we were planning our own wedding this fall, we chose TDE without hesitation. We are glad to have Ken as our Emcee who can speak Mandarin/Cantonese/English. He was controlling the whole wedding timing perfectly. Our guests did not feel bored at all. Otis gave us some suggestion about setting up the audio system on the wedding venue. It worked so well for ceremony/cocktail/and the reception. The only thing we regretted was that we did not have enough time to add customized gobo lighting for the dance floor. I believed it would be even better with this service. Thanks Otis and his team again for delivering the wonderful service. read more

We found TDE through Yelp. Based on their 5 star reviews, we went in the office to review the services they offer. We didn't go with a package since we had selected most of our vendors already but if you're in the early planning stages, I would definitely recommend to check their packages out! TDE did an amazing job at our wedding. I would give them 5 stars in a a heartbeat. We used them for florals, lighting and decor. Jessica made planning very easy for us and was quick and responsive. She was very helpful during the entire process. She is amazing at what she does - and was great at conceptualizing what my fiance and I wanted. We planned our Napa wedding for 200 guests in less than 3 months and TDE definitely came to our rescue! read more

Ken Ken was our MC for our wedding. He did an fabulous job!! If you are looking for a trilingual MC (English, Mandarin, and Cantonese), TDE is your one stop destination. Otis Fang followed up closely with us since day 1 of MC/DJ arrangement. Since my husband and I live in LA and the wedding is in the bay, Ken Ken even called us a week before to finalize all the songs and the rundown. We greatly appreciate the help of Otis and Ken Ken to create a fun and excited wedding. Ken was our DJ and he played all the songs we requested at the time we wanted. He never miss a spot of cues. Our guests enjoyed every music played. Thank you Otis, Carina, Ken, & Ken! read more

I cannot recommend "The Day Entertainment" enough. Working with Otis to make arrangements for our reception was easy. We were able to meet with our EMCEE before the reception (Jackson), and were delighted with how friendly and outgoing he was. I had seen videos of his work previously, and I was confident he would be entertaining. I had high expectations... And Jackson and the DJ exceeded all of them. The music choices (only outlined by myself and my wife previously, but filled in by the DJ) were exceptional. The pace and action pushed by Jackson for the entire evening, while remaining courteous and friendly. He was fluent in Chinese, which kept the majority of our guests well entertained. And of course his english was absolutely perfect. In the end, as I knew it would, the MC and DJ made the evening. It could not have gone better, and I am deeply thankful for having Jackson be our EMCEE. read more

We used TDE's Platinum package for our wedding. We loved how easy it was to swap out and customize their services to get the exact wedding we wanted. Every interaction with Jessica (our TDE point of contact) was extremely professional, and she always responded promptly over email or videochat when we had questions. Our MC, Jackson, was awesome and made sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. Our photographer, Sam, made our engagement photo session fun, and kept up high energy throughout our entire long wedding day. My makeup artist, Alice, did a great job on my makeup, and was able to perfectly recreate the hairdo photos I showed her. Our flowers were lovely, and the photobooth was a huge hit at our wedding. Overall we are so glad we chose to do our wedding with TDE. read more

My sister hired TDE for her wedding and they did a great job! I went with her to most of the meetings with TDE and they are super friendly and professional. They're always super patient with our millions of questions (my sis is definitely a picky bride who freaks out pretty much on everything lol) and gave us a lot of helpful tips and advises. Definitely made things much more easeful for not just our nervous bride, but also me and my family, who tried helping out my sister's "wedding planning" but really were clueless until TDE stepped in. I guess the best thing we contributed was that we helped my sister found TDE! Everything was just so perfect! We all loved their decorations. My sister had an outdoor ceremony and it was crazy windy that day. TDE arrived earlier than the time they originally planned because of this and put in a lot of extra effort securing the drapes onto ground/poles so the wind doesn't mess up the shape. They checked with us right after the setup is done to make sure everything looks alright. They were friendly, efficient, and responsible; very professional! (Small funny thing -- there's many visitors from the winery that day (not our guest) who kept posing and taking pictures in front of the ceremony area -- they all must loved the look!) For dinner reception my sister only used their DJ service because one of my brother-in-law's friend has a pretty good sense of humor and is good at talking, so we decided to save some money on the MC part. We learned that typically TDE's MC would pair up with the DJs, so initially we did had a small concern about breaking them up because without the guidance from the MC, what if the DJ plays anything at a wrong time and ruin "the moment"...? But obviously we're all overthinking it. Everything went smoothly as planned, and the DJ did perfectly fine without the MC. He was really good at observing. I can only say the moments he start fading in/out different songs was again, just perfect! No reminders needed, and he knew exactly what to do. I also heard their MC service is highly rated, and since now I'm planning on getting married myself, TDE is definitely my top choice. Given what I heard, and most importantly what I see from my own sister's wedding, I'm very confident with TDE and would definitely recommend them to our friends and family. read more

Great customer service! My husband and I reached out to four local lighting vendors before deciding to go with TDE for our wedding lighting. After getting a variety of quotes with a bunch of random fees for set-up and traveling to the wedding site, I finally heard about TDE and decided to reach out to them. From the initial meeting to the final work, I have to say they were organized and worked closely with me to make sure everything was planned and carried out as we wanted. They had all the information about the ballroom layout for our venue along with many lighting examples. Their prices were reasonable and staff were very good in communicating back and forth in person as well as email. Even when I noticed a minor error in the final planning stages, Jessica and the rest of the staff were quick to respond and correct the error. We trusted that TDE would get the work done and they did! On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time had everything set-up exactly as we wanted. We almost did not include lighting in our wedding reception but now that we look back at how beautiful the ballroom looked we're so glad that we did. TDE has very reasonable prices (probably the most affordable in the SF Peninsula), great customer service, and dependable quality of work. We would definitely work with them again and highly recommend them. Thank you TDE staff for making our wedding day that much more special! read more

We booked our emcee needs through TDE because they did such a great job with my wife's sister's wedding. We were trying to organize our wedding reception to be in Fremont, CA from Ohio and Otis and Carina couldn't have made it any easier to have all our planning done. They were on point for everything we needed and was able to accommodate the planning for the fact that we were trying to do all of this from 2000 miles away. Jackson was our emcee and he was great with providing us ample time to get ready for the events of the night during the dinner and at making up time when we fell a little behind on schedule. The photographers were troopers and great! Great quality. Everything was included, which made it so easy! At first, my husband and I choose TDE services to help plan our wedding because we liked the idea of a one stop shop that provides different package deals. When we started working with Jessica (coordinator), she was very helpful in helping us plan our wedding in detail, which we never imagined how overwhelming it could be. We found that communication between Jessica was very straight forward and oftentimes very accommodating. Even though we had a situation with our turn table DJ a few days before our wedding, Jessica acted promptly and in the end all problems were resolved. All the staffs from all the different vendors were very professional and we had a lot of fun with Sam (our photographer). Our wedding was exactly how we imagined it to be. Our families, and friends had a blast! We definitely recommend TDE for those engaged and looking for a stress free wedding planning. read more

This is a bit overdue review as the wedding was in March. I was the wedding planner for my brother who doesn't live in the area. Working with Carina and her team, we were able to complete the design in a month. This is my overall experience: 1) Service - 5/5: Carina and her team really went above and beyond to make sure it would be as perfect as possible for the couple. Although the bride couldn't try on the gowns before the wedding, Carina made it possible that she had a perfectly sized gown. 2) Convenience - 5/5: I really liked that pretty much all planning can be done virtually including design selection and details, with exception to the gowns. 3) Price - 4/5: Initial quote was a bit lower than other stores but it was comparable once the detail planning was done. There were some confusions on what is included in the quote. Again, Carina was very flexible here. 4) Selection Options - 4.8/5: The fabric material I wanted was not available but partly because of our aggressive timely. Jessica was willing to do a mock for us which I really appreciated. Decorative items are a bit limiting virtually and dated which was not a deal breaker since it was the bigger items like backdrops that mattered more for us. Overall - if I had to plan for another wedding, I'll go with TDE. It was so smoothly executed. To TDE: I wanted to thank you and all of the decoration/photo staff for a successful wedding. The couple and my parents were very happy and impressed with all of the decor. I personally wanted to thank all of you for being accommodating and professional. It definitely made the planning process and wedding day less stressful for me as the planner. I appreciate all your efforts in making sure that it was a wonderful experience for my family and guests. read more

Review is for draping, lighting, table cloth decorations and boutonniere flowers. We heard about TDE through the venue we were having our reception at, Grand Palace Restaurant in South San Francisco. Tony, the restaurant manager, had recommended them as the best place that could drape Grand Palace's high high walls. We scheduled an appointment with Jessica at TDE on a weekend. Phenomenal doesn't quite capture Jessica's ability to work on a wedding. Jessica's attention to detail and her helpfulness played a very large role in us feeling relaxed about our wedding. She's always extremely responsive and extremely patient, both of which are so so helpful. Jessica was always following up with us about things we were being indecisive about and she really took us across to the finish line. We never were confused with any other client couple and we were never worried about anything falling through the cracks. We had a couple of last minute changes to the table drape decorations. Jessica never lost her calm, emailing and getting on a phone call so everything was crystal clear. We had planned on 3 loops on the head table, but needed to change it to 4 for various reasons. Jessica never blinked an eye and was happy to accommodate. Our friends picked up our boutonnieres and they were fantastic, the groom even got a different color ribbon, which was a detail that we never discussed about but was much appreciated. On the day of the wedding, the entire restaurant was completely transformed with floor to ceiling drapery. (Photos to come later!) We were just coming in from having additional photos being taken, and had our breath taken away by what TDE did with the place. The uplighting was absolutely on point and all of our gobo lighting was perfect. I would absolutely recommend you if I have friends who are looking for help in draping/lighting their wedding as their work speaks for themselves! read more

I had the following services booked for my wedding in Jan 2017: - Wedding Decoration & Flower Basic Package (+ extra flowers) - Venue up-Lighting Elite Package I was really pleased with the way the table decorations and lighting turned out. My only big critique (and why I gave them a 4) would be my day of flowers looked a bit bruised when we picked them up from the store. Pros: - Very convenient. It's your one stop shop for all your wedding day needs (Flowers, DJ, Decorations, Dress Rentals, Emcees, Photobooth, MUA, etc.) - They are very responsive over email. Jessica was able to answer all my questions in a timely manner. Cons: - They charge a bit more for their services than some vendors. You're pretty much paying more for the convenience of having it all at one shop. - Personal: Some execution errors with the Photobooth in the beginning and the flowers at the end. read more

Our reception was on 9/7, it went great! Big thanks to The Day Entertainment, especially to Carina, Otis, Eric (photographer), Alice (makeup and hairdo), and MC Ken. We were looking for a photographer and emcee for our wedding, and found out that TDE can provide both services and more with their packages (photographer, videographer, emcee, DJ, decors, photo backdrop, lighting, gown rental, makeup and hairdo). We were really glad that we could find this one-stop shop that can make our wedding planning so much easier. We worked with Carina and Otis most of the time. They were very professional and patient. And they reply emails super quick! Eric was our photographer, pictures came out great, we love them so much. MC Ken was awesome! He brought a really good atmosphere to our party. My friends and coworkers keep telling me how great he was to make the party so lively and not boring. P.S. They can all speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. I speak Cantonese, my wife speaks Mandarin, and my coworkers speak English. The way there were 3 languages being used in the party makes it pretty cool :) read more

We used the photographers, flora arrangement, DJ and emcee services by TDE. Everything was great and very professional. They are also very easy to work with flexible to accommodate any last minute changes. Otis, the emcee of night, was very helpful in coming up games to keep all guests entertained. We think he is one of the best bilingual emcee in the bay area. The photographers were wonderful as well and they certainly go well beyond just being a photographer. We were glad to have TDE as part of our wedding. read more
