I recently moved to the area and am trying to find a good nail salon so I decided to give DT a try. I called and made an appointment for a shellac manicure. I arrived on time and was promptly helped. That was the end of my good experience. I had shellac on so they proceeded to file the polish off. I had never had someone file them before wrapping but if that's the way they do it, fine. To get through the shellac polish, they had to use an extremely rough nail file. They kept getting my skin around my nail bed, removing layers of skin. Then after they pretty much cut up the skin around my nails, they wrapped my fingers with acetone. OUCH! I left with swollen, red fingers that burn all day, especially if I try to shower or wash my hand. Please be careful about this place. They clearly dont care about your comforty or if they cause any injury to you while performing their services. I guess the search for the perfect nail salon continues. read more

I had a horrible experience at Hi-Tech Nails in Marysville. All my nails were really thick with acrylic and every nail turned out crooked and one nail popped off the very next day. I decided to go somewhere close to my work on my lunch break to see if someone could fix my nails. I must say that Tuyet at TD Nails did an amazing job! This place is a "mill". I am a massage therapist and very familiar with "mill" environments. It's a sweatshop for immigrant women. These women were being timed on the length of the manicures and pedicures they were giving people. As I sat there for a total of 12 minutes, I observed the rushed environment as other people were coming in and out of the door. This was not a weekend, it was a weekday, midday. The lady who worked on me was very rushed and cut me three times with the nail file as she was monitoring her time by constantly looking at the clock and the front desk. I'm pretty sure the male receptionist was the "boss". Upon leaving the facility I mentioned to him that she had cut me and I was very unhappy and he scolded her right in front of everyone. I left on the verge of tears and do NOT recommend this place to anyone. I would like to see the shut down as a matter of fact. A sweatshop environment for immigrant women is NOT the kind of business I want to support. read more

I was forced to get shellac even though I only came for a normal manicure. The manicure was the worst I've ever gotten. They only painted my nails. Nothing else. My friend and I came in for the same service and somehow hers was cheaper than mine. I argued with the workers for a good ten minutes before they cooperated and charged me the correct price. They perform services on you that you didn't ask for and then rack up your bill. They don't listen to what you want and argue with you over and over talking you into expensive services and don't respect what you asked for. They ask you how much of a tip you want to give them which is so wrong and then act pissed off if you don't want to tip in cash. I went here for many years, but no more. Just because you have a license to do nails doesn't mean you practice good customer service! If you don't learn how to make customers happy, they will spend their money elsewhere. I was excited walk in and get pampered. It would have been much better if the technician wasn't rude. If you hurt someone, at least apologize! They try and up sell, which is fine, but when you're in women's services your job is to build someone up not tear them down. You don't say, want your upper lip waxed? You need it! Talk about rude. Not only did I have an amazing nail experience but it came with a back massage and a hand & arm massage, they really go out of their way to make sure you're happy and boy I was. TD Nails - In love with the barbie pink - Nail Salons Near Me - Mill Creek, Washington

On a Sunday several weeks ago, when most local nail places were closed, I saw that TD Nails in Mill Creek was open and had good reviews. Win! My first impression was terrible. This place has a sweatshop feel to it, a lot of random employees, none of which speak to you, plop you down in a seat and ask you to pick a color...the first fill I had was done by an older Asian woman who was very clearly annoyed by my kind request of filing my nails done to an even level. So annoyed, that she shaved my nails to the point of severe pain. I bit my lip and tipped 20%. My second experience was similar. I walked into the sweatshop and was led to a table where I had to wait 5 minutes for a younger lady to finish her lunch and sit down to start my fill. She seemed annoyed that I requested a regular color vs. Gell, then she rushed through the fill process without a single word. 5 days later, one of nails is cracked (this has never happened before). If these people spend just a little bit of time training their countless employees in customer service and proper technique, this place could be stellar! Alas, I will never return... read more

Don't get me wrong, but this place feels like a factory! The owner is always yelling at the workers to hurry up .... I am a paying customer! I LOVE VEE! She is amazing and kind. I stopped going here after I had an appointment 2 weeks out with Vee and the owner came over and told her to hurry up (10 minutes into my appointment) because they accidentally booked someone else with her at the same time. He checked back 3 times and kept telling her to hurry up. BS! I am a paying customer with an appointment! I moved on to a better place to get my nails done and I am not rushed! read more

I came in for a pedicure, to my surprise, a basic pedicure was only $20. Unfortunately I found out why, I felt like they were rushed and didn't care much about the client and the quality of the service, it was even painful at times. And kept trying to pressure me and my mother into upgrading to a "Silver" pedicure for $35 when we CLEARLY stated we wanted the basic pedicure. I love T D NAILS my favorite place to do my nails. They are friendly they are the best.

I went here for waxing, specifically face and legs. I only wanted my shins waxed since I've not been able to afford the full waxing in one single visit. The lady I got was non-stop asking me if I wanted a full wax for legs, and at one point she said "You want to look like a girl? Wax!" It was so rude. Luckily, I don't really care about that comment as I am A-Gendered but I can imagine the horror on someone's face! As for the face wax... I only wanted my eyebrows shaped, which I had said repeatedly. While I had my eyes closed, waiting for her to put wax around my eyebrows... She swiftly put wax on my upper and chin, with both hands... Therefore, I couldn't say "No, I said eyebrows only" since she had already put it two more places... I then kept my eyes open just in case she tried to wax my thighs-WHICH SHE DID TRY. To top it all off, she made my shin bleed somehow and waxed my feet (barely any hair, peach fuzz, if you will), after making my shin bleed, she put some oil on it and I was allergic to it, which I could have told her I'm allergic to most oils/lotions if she even bothered to ask me before putting it on. I immediately started to rub away the oil, and she grabbed my hands and asked why.. It was very itchy and swelled instantly, sooooo I won't be going back here for waxing. My advice, watch them carefully! In the end, I was charged extra for my feet, upper lip, and chin, which I didn't want because I previously waxed them myself at home.. Talk about pushy! Overall, the waxed parts were soft (minus the one area of bleeding), and stayed waxed for 7 weeks or so! read more

I have defiantly found my new go to salon for all of my nail care needs. I'm kinda new to the area so I've been trying out different salons. I went on yelp and saw that TD is just a few blocks away from my house and across the street from work with some pretty good reviews. I got a full set and the girl who did my nails did an amazing job. I am super picky when it comes to acrylics and she made sure the shape, thickness and length was all perfectly the same. Near the end of the process, The girl that used to do my nails for 5 years and that I haven't seen the past 2 years spotted me and said hi. Turns out she moved back to WA a few months ago and now working here. Small world! I used to live in Seattle and drive 30 miles to Kent every other week to see her. Yeah she is that good at nails! And now she just happens to be at the salon that's 2 blocks from my house. I'm such a happy camper now! read more

You MUST NOT go to this filthy establishment. My husband and I went for pedicures. The water was never changed; they re-used tools from several other customers. They don't even do a good pedicure. But the MOST important issue is lack of any sanitary procedures. This "salon" should be closed down by the health department. Take a close look the next time you go in, brave soul. Watch where the tools come from (a bucket passed from one person to the next). It's truly disgusting and appalling that people enjoy going there. Then there is the customer service side...the people are rude, won't talk to you, and prepare for upsell after upsell and if you don't buy, the employees get mad and get even. read more

I have been going to TD nails for almost 10 years and have been pretty happy with their service and the friendly staff. However in the last few years they started a push on up-selling. Today they took it to a whole new level and I am pretty sure I will not return. The person that did my nails was beyond rude when I told her at least three different times I would not get shellac nails. She stopped talking to me and was so rude when I paid. Took her tip and walked away without a word. I am pretty sure an additional few bucks in up-selling is not worth loosing a customer and the bad publicity that goes with it. read more

My friend and I were in the area and had sometime to kill so we decide to get the pedicure .Big big big disapointment .The services weren't pofessional with bad english level to communicate with customer as well as try to up-sell and push to do deluxe services but don't care about how to take care good for customer. My pedicure was 18 minute include terrible massage and painting time.The nail tech who did horrible for my pedicure was Titi ( of course ,I didnt forget to ask her name before I left to avoid seeing her again if I come there). I very rarely write reviews but after my terrible experience and HUGE waste of money, I felt totally obligate !!! I'm not very impressed with the place... It's like a factory. Super noisy, super busy, and expensive. The chatter of the workers is distracting, you can't even have a conversation with your girlfriends. They're very pushy for you to get the most expensive pedicure and they're constant. I enjoy going here to get my nails done. I've been twice and both times they were packed! Very popular. They can hold large parties, first time I went with my friends bridal party, second time I went with some of the women in family and they got us out in quick time. The WORST customer service I have ever encountered. Hands down. These were the rudest service providers I have met in a very long time, if not ever. They didn't even make an effort to pretend to care. Not a single word was uttered from my manicurist other than "Go wash hands now!" No eye contact. No hello, goodbye, or how do you like your nails? She was angry, inattentive, harsh, rushed, and made my cuticles bleed and then charged me an extra few dollars because one of my nails had been slightly chipped and she had to "fix it". But not only was she rude- the rest of the staff was just as jaded. I couldn't believe this place was swimming with people. No one looked particularly happy, though. Started service then stopped after 5 minutes watch her go over and start working on ladies pedicure then after 10 minutes came back to me to finish my service. Very unprofessional. I have been going here ever since high school.. Saying that, it had consistently been great; until now. I went in with my sister so we could both get mani pedis. We sat down in the chairs and two women came over to work on our nails. My sister enjoyed her experience but I however had the rudest woman. I consistently thanked her and asked her how she was doing and I kept getting cold states from her. A second woman came over and worked on my hands. They both did a terrible job. I told the woman who did my nails over and over again that there were mistakes (politely) and yet she did the bare minimum to fix them. I probably won't go back. I have been to this salon off and on over the years and happened to be by there at the opening of the day and decided to see if I could get a pedicure. I will admit, I have extremely dry skin on my heels and on my right foot, I have a short toe with no nail due to having it amputated. The nail tech was so rude, pointing out my short toe and rough heels to the tech next to her and wrinkling her nose as she was talking. I was stunned that anyone would be that blatantly rude. When scouring my feet, she took her abrasive file to the top of my toe that had had surgery and when I asked her to stop, she glared at me. It's been only about 18 months since surgery and this area is still quite tender. I was not impressed at all. I will definitely not be back, so disappointing! read more

I have been getting lash extensions here for 3 months. My last fill visit the woman did a terrible job. I felt the difference and could see the difference. I thought I should give it time. Bad mistake. She put way too much glue and the weight made the base of the extension lift and eventually fall off breaking off my natural lashes in the process. I now have only 1-2 millimeter long lashes. I will never go here again. read more
