It's a name used to mislead military members that they are affiliated. They have been sued for discriminatory lending practices. Don't expect any level of personal service from the loan department. They will not communicate with you at all. When you call them on the phone, you can only speak to a representative who admittedly does not have any answers about the loan department or how they operate. They read from a standard form and cannot provide any assistance or answers. With NFCU you're just a number. Your military service means nothing to them. For me it has been a disappointment. Would I recommend them to a friend? Absolutely not. It's offensive to military members, veterans and their families.
