At times I've showed up to cash a check and they don't have cash available. They have closed several times do to so to computer or "system" problems. When I need a notary they charge $30. When you have been with the same bank as long as I have there shouldn't be a charge especially when UPS has one on staff and only charges a few bucks. When you need a banker to talk to - you have to make an appointment well in advance so a banker can see the maybe 2 to 4 appointments that she has booked for the day. Used to be you could walk in and you sat in their lobby and within a few minutes you were able to talk to someone. The list goes on and on with this place and its almost comical at this point. One shining note is the tellers are their only saving grace - always nice to talk to.

Wells Fargo sends me a letter verifying that on June 24th the funds would be available. I go into Doylestown branch complete withdrawal form as well as showing the bank my letter from Wells Fargo. The teller calls the manager who refuses to let me withdraw money, and gives me a hard time claiming Fraud? The check deposited was from a known customer who never had an issue. Plus the Warminster Pa. Branch manager claimed the person who wrote the check was telling them the deposited check was a fraud? Followed up person who wrote check was never Called by any bank. I finally got my cash. Terrible people to do business with.

I'm not deferring a semester at ASDS just to wait for you to leave your parent's house and join me." "Of course. I wasn't suggesting that." "And you know you have a place to live once you get to NYC. You don't need much money. It's the three of us in a one bedroom, Brian." "Right, but I'd need to contribute at least a few month's rent." "True, but what do you have in your savings account?" "About $400." "That's it?" "Yeah. Well, I had to live off of my savings when I quit my job." "Live off of what? Your meals and lodging are all provided for you." "Well I spent a lot of money on trains and gas to see you." "Of course but... listen, you know I love you and I'll wait however long it takes for you to get out to the city, but I mean, it'll be tough with my class schedule to talk every day. We'll certainly try the long distance-" -"Try the long distance?" "Yeah. I mean you could meet someone." "Meet someone?" "You know what I mean. You could meet someone out here." "In Doylestown, Pennsylvania? Have you met the snaggle-toothed women out here?" "Listen, of course I'm going to wait for you. I just don't know how long I can hold down a long distance relationship. " "And if one of us meets someone..." "Forget I said that. We'll try to make it work." Suffice it to say, I was at TD Bank the next morning with a cup of coffee in one hand and a trash bag full of coins in the other. Back in the good old days, TD Bank provided the very neon green safe haven one needed to dump all sofa-cushion extracted currency, spread it out on a cheese grater tray, and convert the metallic shame into something useful. The fact that the TD coin counter may have been skimming from the top of these investments made no difference to me. I was desperate as all hell, and needed cash quickly, but when the little receipt printed and the screen displayed my total, I nearly threw up on the machine. To think that five years of loading a giant mason jar in my bedroom with loose change, would only yield me a meager $143.11 was astounding. "Fuck this," I thought. "I'm opening up a savings account." After a bit of a wait on a stylish egg chair pulled straight out of a James Bond villain's basement, a slick customer service advocate with a name tag probably spelling "Jim" shook my hand and escorted me to sparse table with a monitor. "How can I help you today, sir?" "I need an account. Something with interest." "Okay." Said probably Jim with a bemused smile. "I could start you on a standard savings account or perhaps a CD." "CD sounds good. What's that?"' "Well it's a federally insured certificate of deposit and functions like a savings plan with higher interest. "Sounds great. Let's do it." "Just do you know, you will have less access to withdraw, and it will require a minimum investment of $2000." In the ATM vestibule, I counted out my bills and stuffed them into a cheap leather wallet. 'To hell with TD Bank,' I thought. I'll save in cash as long as possible, and I will be rid of this town soon enough. Peering back through the freshly polished glass doors to the main counter, I took note as a smiling teller carefully endorsed an elderly woman's check and placed the deposit slip neatly into a scanner, handed her a receipt, and wished the woman a nice day. I opened the door for the neatly dressed retiree as she neared the exit. She said nothing.

So their algorithm constantly flags things as fraud, like literally multiple times a day every week im going through this bullshit. Then on top of that, i had to cancel my debit card because of the actual fraud, i was waiting on the new one to be sent - THEY NEVER SENT IT. apparently because they thought it was "sketchy" meanwhile ive banked with them for years....how interesting that you think im sketchy while you ignore the years of track record receipts where theres never been an issue with me . the worst part is they didnt even let me know...so ive been without a debit card for OVER A WEEK!!! So yeah, they dont operate with logic or professionalism obviously and they definitely dont give a shit about their customers. I will seriously be telling every single person I know to never ever bank with them and how awful they are.
