I have had a similar situation regarding a deposit happen in the past and other branch locations have been more than helpful in getting the problem resolved. When I referenced this in my visit I was told "they aren't supposed to do that" and to "call customer service" when I asked to speak to a branch manager I was told "no." I was then directed to customer service (the 1 800 number on the back of my debit card). Also, the ATM at this location is constantly out of service.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service every time I've had to call. Online banking services are easy to use. Mobile app is great too. Although I will miss the convenience of the branch that is located in one of my company's buildings, I do look forward to visiting the new Maple Avenue branch soon.

I didn't have enough to deposit into the business account to open it and he made an exception. Once I received my client's check, I came back to the branch to have the account established and it was already done! The fees are average to high for small business accounts. Chase is not in the DC area the closest Chase to DC is Trenton NJ or West Virginia. I make the trips once every 6 - 8 weeks to deposit or use online/snail mail to deposit. Since I travel a great deal I have made ATM stops in Logan, LAX and other airports. Each problem or issue I had the phone reps are great and worked hard to solve my problem. I've always received a call back! Whether it is to help me with mobile services, online bill pay or using tax calculators or suggesting a better savings structure - I have had good experiences. My complaint is Chase is a big enough institution to open a branch in the DC metropolitan area. Since they do not have a branch here you can't get a business loan here to open a store front or expand your business. This is a MAJOR down fall and I hope Chase will contact the members in this area to strategize. With this complaint I will have to look at opening another business account with BOA or Wells Fargo or someone else to expand my business. It's too bad a great bank relationship can't take me to the next level. This is a 7 year relationship with multiple Chase banks and I hate to leave them over something I think is solvable. Also, my part-time employee was charged $12 fee to cash her payroll check because she is not a member of Chase. I think this is excessive and replaced her the check cashing fee. So now when I hire part-time or temporary help for a tradeshow I up their payment by $12 so they can cash the check at Chase and not lose any money. Chase you need to reduce this fee.

Everything was great in the beginning and I paid my fees and paid for appraisal. Then after weeks of waiting I am informed that I don't qualify for a 15 yr mortgage. Annoying why didn't they tell me from the start. So we start over for a 30 yr which women said is easy for me to get. I'm going for a small mortgage compared to what my house is worth. After 4 months of them playing around I get turned down for my tiny mortgage and they won't call me back when I try to find out how this can be. Horrible bank and rude people that won't return your calls. Don't use them!!!

Their rates and interest are better than other banks. They have a coin counting machine for members, free of charge. You can choose to get the cash or have it deposited into your account. A couple times a year the will do customer appreciation days/week, where they generously give out swag. I have been given blankets, towels, ice scrapers, umbrellas, duffle bags throughout the years.

Their fees for cashiers checks seem to vary by location, which I find quite odd. Better than the mega banks, Univest is a decent option for those looking for a community bank. That said, I was a customer of this bank for years in the late 1990s before coming back to them again around 2012 or so. I liked the bank better in the 90s. Service was more person. It felt like a true "neighborhood" bank. I guess having acquired a few other small banks over the years that culture was bound to change.
