While my primary financial institution is open for a few hours Saturday morning, they open/close earlier and are usually very busy when I have stopped by. Not so for this TDB. We walked right in to conduct an international wire transfer. Everyone was masked, and the three staff were capable of handling the average of 3 customers doing their business. When we approached the the two tellers and announced what we wanted to do, one of them raised her hand, directing us to a private cubicle where she could take care of us. She knew what to do, filling out online forms with help from the information we provided. Ten minutes later we were signed, sealed and on our way out the door. She asked all the right questions, and easily accepted our explanation for the finer points of the transaction. All the while the professional yet relaxed demeanor of the bank and it's well trained staff kept us comfortable and moving forward. Need a good bank person? I don't know how to distinguish one bank from another these days with so many mergers and acquisitions over the decades. Still, I have been through at least 4 incarnations that has emerged as a Wells Fargo Branch. They certainly have the best logo. They handle my personal and business accounts without difficulty and my international business needs are well served by this branch. There are many banks in Newtown (perhaps, too many). My money is at home here.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service every time I've had to call. Online banking services are easy to use. Mobile app is great too. Although I will miss the convenience of the branch that is located in one of my company's buildings, I do look forward to visiting the new Maple Avenue branch soon.

Annoying why didn't they tell me from the start. So we start over for a 30 yr which women said is easy for me to get. I'm going for a small mortgage compared to what my house is worth. After 4 months of them playing around I get turned down for my tiny mortgage and they won't call me back when I try to find out how this can be. Their rates and interest are better than other banks. They have a coin counting machine for members, free of charge. You can choose to get the cash or have it deposited into your account. A couple times a year the will do customer appreciation days/week, where they generously give out swag. I have been given blankets, towels, ice scrapers, umbrellas, duffle bags throughout the years.

They know me and my wife and speak to us when we stop in to make deposits, or do other bank business. The tellers are well trained and careful. Their services are reasonably priced. Several of the complaints here, with low ratings for this bank, note that they call the customer whose account is being debited before they cash checks. For some reason these reviewers think that is a bad thing. As someone who has been called several times about checks, I would like to go on record to say that this is a very good thing. I want them to check withdrawals from my accounts that are atypical. I'm pleased that they would take the time. Firstrust is a local bank. It's not a big, national, impersonal bank. That's not to say it's small -- there is a lot of money backing it up. But after the fiasco's in some of the nations largest banks, I'm pleased to know that I'm banking with people I know and with an institution that has an investment in my community.

This was kind of embarrassing for me because I didn't want to bother my boss on the weekend and interrupt his time with his family, but that's their policy. I just moved here from out of state, and if you want to open an account (so you can cash your check from your boss without disturbing him or her) here you need state ID, or a million forms of photo ID (actually 2 and a third with your name on it, a license and a passport) but who carries all that around with them. Their hours are inconvenient unless you work or live within a 5 minute walk from Rittenhouse Square. Otherwise, it was nice that they had a clean, complimentary coffee station and the customer service was pretty good, if a little cheesy.
