Immensely impressed by this place each time I visit. There is a wide variety of services offered here ranging from your basic car wash to full "car day spa" interior and exterior deep cleans. I have stuck with the basic package twice and added on deep cleaning of my mats and my car came out looking like it was brand new. The pricing is extremely fair and the quality is top notch. The place is very well staffed and moves very quickly, finishing my car in about 10 minutes. I will 100% be coming back and see myself investing in one of the monthly plans in the near future. If you do want waxing or other deeper cleans done, just be aware that you should make an appointment ahead of time! read more

I've been going to this place for a couple years now. I knew when I heard that TC was getting out of it I was afraid that service would not keep up. And that was just the case here. Typically they would ask you what you would like and ask about any add ons that they offer. The add ons were not even requested to me and I felt like they were just ready to get to the next car. Also after this point you would get out of your car and they would take it from there. I got the top tier service they offered which I normally get. But this time was not the same. The made me drive my truck myself and then none of the little grit and dog hair was even touch. $50 car detail and it looked like I went through a Sheetz car wash. Not what I paid for and very unhappy. It will be hard to go back unfortunately. read more

I found TC's after doing a Google search for car washes with vacuum. It's so hard to find a place where they vacuum your car for you, instead of you doing the work. It worked perfectly for me because I was going to be in Durham for the day. The process from pulling in the parking lot to getting your car back once it's finished was absolutely seamless. Everyone was so nice and the process was quick. Since it was my first time there, the first attendant walked me through all the options, and there are a lot of them. Once you let them know what package you want and you pull up to the designated area, you're directed inside where you pay and there's a very comfortable waiting area. They also have a great selection of beverages and snacks. There are also several options of things to purchase for your car, like air fresheners, chargers, etc. It was a beautiful day out, so I decided to sit outside on the spacious patio with tables, chairs and other seating. At one point, there were 4 people working on my car once it came out of the washing tunnel, one inside each door. They got every nook and cranny in my car. Hand wiping and vacuuming, I was so impressed. They called me by my car when it was finished. I was fortunate enough to meet one of the owners, he took part in the awesome cleaning of my car himself. I've owned my minivan for five years and have never had it professionally deep cleaned. You can imagine the state it was in, considering I have young kids. Crevices and corners were sticky with spilled drinks, covered with crushed graham crackers, sand, bits of paper/plastic packaging, etc. You get the idea. We took it in for the Ultimate SuperWash package, with Air Purge, Steam, Disinfection, etc. We had a really friendly, honest interaction with Mike and other staff. Thought I would treat myself to the kick ass car wash that I was accustomed to receiving EVERY SINGLE TIME I had been here previously. Not so much any more. Walked out to the car as the attendant came inside to collect me....the rear of the car was still dripping...he scurried to wipe it down as I stood there...did not clean the rear window inside...did not wipe down the trunk liner...ya know...used to be a great car wash...& for $40 bucks...I expected a lot more. I was driving my father-in-laws car around town while we were in the area and decided I wanted to get his car washed and get it a deep clean as a thank you. The car was ridiculously dirty, apparently it had been a VERY long time since it got a proper cleaning. When I pulled up, four men came up to the car and got started right away. The owner was there a moment later to ask what I needed and do a full check of the car and recommended a steam clean of the dash and deep clean for the exterior. In just a few minutes I was on my way into the waiting area. I browsed around a bit and purchased a new steering wheel cover and went to the register to pay. The cashier, which I believe is TC's wife, was very friendly and took the steering wheel cover back to the guys to put on the steering wheel for me. There was also the CUTEST labradoodle behind the register--so handsome, I just wanted to smoosh it's face! It wasn't too busy in the waiting area and there was plenty of room to sit and social distance since we're still in the middle of a pandemic. On that note, everyone wore masks and they offer a contact-less exterior wash option, too. Considering how many layers of dirt that were caked on the car, it really didn't take that long to clean the car. When I walked up to get in the car, I was blown away. It was a million times better. It looked like a brand new-is car and I was so happy to bring it back to the house in such great shape. They did a great job and it was very reasonably priced. Excellent service! Local car washes seem to be moving away from the premium model of having someone wash and clean the interior while you wait and moving towards the cheaper model of you cleaning it yourself and getting it washed cheaply, which isn't a change I'm particularly interested in. I like being able to take my car somewhere while they clean it thoroughly and get it washed/waxed in a way that I like while I wait and get some work done. TC's is excellent! They've got so many ways to customize your order and they are really satisfying a market that other local places like The Ritz carwash have moved away from. They even make it possible to tip the workers when you pay, which is a feature I love. I will forever recommend this place after my visit with them. I really needed the interior of my car cleaned because my seats needed some TLC. I went in person to see what it would be like and ask questions. They looked at my car, gave me a quote, and scheduled me for the next day! They confirmed with me the evening before and I got a call when they were finished with everything. I was even able to drop the car off early in the morning before they were open and drop my keys off in the conveniently located key drop. I would say this car wash experience was very average, and I'm disappointed about that. I read all of these great reviews, and I was excited that TC's seemed like a good value, but I did not think they did a great job cleaning my car. There were streaks of dirt across my back (tan leather seats) that were not there before-- so in some ways I think they made my car dirtier, or left marks that were not there before. I don't think they did particularly better than if done a DIY carwash where the car goes through and I vacuum and clean my mats myself. I purchased the basic car wash, which would be a good value if it worked, but I didn't feel like my car was clean, so I consider it overpriced. The parrot in the inside was adorable and the best part of the experience overall. I'd have to say I probably wouldn't go back here over trying s new place next time. read more

Came to TC's one Tuesday morning to get my car washed and lightly detailed. The whole experience was phenomenal from start to finish. The entire staff was so nice and helpful, and I was veryyy happy with the way my car looked at the end! My only minor complaint would be that my rims could have been given a little more attention (rims are an up-charge to the wash), but I think that's just nitpicking as they were still cleaned pretty well. I've been to T.C.'s many times since moving from Raleigh to Durham 3 years ago and I have always thought that they were by far and away the best car wash I'd ever had in the Triangle. Today I went and I was fortunate to meet T.C., his wife, and their son. I was just having a casual conversation with a guy who was working as hard as any other employee cleaning vehicles. After a few minutes he introduced himself as T.C. and I was incredibly impressed that the Owner was outside on a 90 degree day doing the same work he could have passed on to any of the numerous employees on duty. Then he introduced me to his wife who barely had time to talk because she was so busy cleaning out the car in front of mine. I've always had a great experience at T.C.'s and assumed it was well-run, but I was even more impressed after meeting the family and seeing them not ask their employees to do anything that they wouldn't be willing to do themselves. That's ALWAYS the sign of a well-run business. The only negative reviews you'll see are people who erroneously assume that a 20-minute, $30 car wash should get the same results as a three-hour full detail. It's great quality and value for what it is, and if you have any issues when they're done, go talk to them. They're not going to let you leave unsatisfied. read more

I hadn't been to TC's in more than a year, and didn't know it had changed owners. Quality is no longer there. For $40 including cleaning front rubber mats, I was disappointed that the interior was dirty and streaky. Hand drying was spottily done. They now charge for "wiping down" dash and doors. What? I went to TC's on June 11, 2022 to get my brand-new black Honda Civic Sports Touring washed for the first time. I wanted to go to a reputable business that provided great service. I thought I had fully inspected the vehicle after service but when I got home I took a second look at my car. I saw they had scratched the driver side door with the the vacuum hose scraping the paint on my brand-new car. I'm sure it will cost a few hundred dollars to correct this on a month old new vehicle. First time at TC's, last time at TC's. They had to know what they were doing. If not, all I can do is shake my head. It is so difficult to get good service anywhere! read more

So, I just got a (car) and wanted it professionally washed for the first time to really get it cleaned. Went to TCs and had a good experience with a minor hitch. So the guy that greeted me was very nice. He sold me the right services I needed. I took the basic was and since my doors were dirty he suggested the front two doors steam clean. I had spots on my back seats and I got the spot removal for an additional 10 dollars. Then since I had read about the rim clean I myself suggested they add that to the package since it wasn't that dirty but I thought why now. I told them to clean the trunk as well and even pointed out top the area of the trunk where there was a lot of pollen accumulation to get that cleaned. So all in all, after the wash I was very satisfied. The car was really clean outside and inside and I felt the $66 I paid in total was worth it. However, the minor hitch I mentioned. The edges of the trunk, where the pollen collected wasn't cleaned even after I brought that to their attention and when I got home and popped my trunk I noticed that and hence was slightly disappointed because the entire car looked clean and that looked so nasty. Could've easily been cleaned with a water jet spray. They probably just vacuumed whatever they could get. Also, the rim wasn't as clean as it could've been (I cleaned it further when I got home) but I'm not going to complain too much about that. So it was a good experience with a minor disappointment in the end. read more

I assure you I was not and am not, but for the record, here is the edited copy that should have existed all along.) ****************************************************************************************** Of course, all opinions and experiences are inherently subjective but having had two vehicles undergo a window tinting at TC's in 2013 and again a few days ago, I can honestly say that as long as they are in business I won't consider going anywhere else for the following reasons. The business is run by a father and son team who are personable and ethical and explain everything about what one can expect before you have hired them. They explain what they can and can't do. For example, I was told that the tiny triangular window next to my rearview mirror was too small and too recessed to be tinted, but that all other windows would be no problem. They review and explain your options, and do not automatically steer you into the most expensive option the way many unscrupulous businesses navigating by bottom-line-only business principles would. In my case, TC the son convinced me that the cheaper black tinting package might be more advisable for my car than the more expensive film that blocks more infrared radiation and keeps the car cooler in the summertime. The fact that he was willing and able to recommend an option that would lead to $150 less revenue for them I believe speaks for itself and for the integrity and ethics of this business and the owners. My experience of TC's is that they do everything they claim they will do, allowing for the fact that everyone is human and nobody can produce perfect, machine-like performance and accuracy 100% of the time (TC's comes very close to that impossibly high standard of excellence in my two experiences of them. Example: they tell you they will call you to tell you that your car is ready shortly before it actually is completely done, and sure enough at 4:45 the phone rang and I was told by TC the son that my vehicle would be washed and ready to go at 5:15. Many shops promise such small but helpful courtesies, but not everyone delivers on their promises the way TC's did for me. Everything was as promised: the car was immaculately detailed inside and washed which I had not expected- as if my five-year-old car SportWagon with breadcrumbs, dust and sunscreen residue in the vents and crevices around the center console had been transformed back to show-room condition in addition to the window tinting: without mention or fuss. I'm sure some of this above and beyond goes without notice to some customers who are too hurried or who expect the best at all times from everybody, but it does not go without notice to me: so I share it with you here on Yelp. Their combination of hard work friendliness and integrity has won me over as a customer for life and my guess is that it will you as well. I wish other businesses were run with the same motivating and guiding principles behind them because it's a pleasure to do business with people who you trust and like, and don't feel you need to monitor to make sure they're doing "what they said they were gonna do," etc. If more people and businesses did business in such a way we would live in a world where trust was the default- as it once was- rather than mistrust and fear ruling the day as it often does now. For some reason I've had a hard time locating car washes in Chapel Hill, and while in Durham I decided to stop by TC's. I have never written a review for a car wash before but TC's warranted one! Everything is very well organized and clearly explained with various signage. They offer a range of different washes, and I went with the basic exterior only wash (10$). A very kind worker was extremely helpful as I was attempting to enter the car wash (I was having some difficulty getting my wheel into the track). After your car exits, someone toweled off the remaining water still on my car. Overall, this place is fantastic! read more

Just spent $40 on a car wash package and had to go immediately to a self wash car wash to rewash the outside, vacuum the inside properly and wipe down the dash and console. It's like they didn't do anything at all except clean my mats. I've come to TC's for years and always been happy with service. It's under new ownership now though. I recently bought a used car that had a lingering smell of smoke I just couldn't kick. I tried DIY fixes, but it was still noticeable enough to annoy me. I called TC's and explained my situation to Mike and he told me I could bring my car in next day. We did an interior cleaning and an ozone treatment. He explained that the ozone alone would help, but that smoke odors cling floor boards and headliners so I'd benefit from an deep clean. I am extremely pleased with the outcome! Aside from the slight cleaner smell that Mike explained should go away after a day or two, my car smells brand new! You can't even smell the air fresher I over did it with. Top it off my interior looks phenomenal! It shows greatly on Mike that he walks through the car and what all was done with you at the end to make sure the customer is satisfied with the work. 10/10 will be coming back. read more
