Would give a zero if I could. One of the few "gas stations" left uptown, try to fill up and make purchases anywhere BUT HERE if possible. The counter staff, the female African American "manager" in particular, is VERY RUDE, and an obvious bigot. Quite simply, she is just NASTY to everyone, but her extreme level of disdain is reserved for white customers. Shop elsewhere if you can. There is a reason this Station/Wendy's/Store, with literally no competitors, is likely not very profitable for it's owners. After all, you make a little margin on gasoline sales. Most profit comes from food and even more from retail. With this "manager" no one really wants to shop here. Empty at "lunchtime", the two trucks were initially gas customers. On a positive note the cleaning/pump station maintenance man is as pleasant/friendly as the manager is rude. read more

Not my favorite gas station...but one of the closer ones to my house that is actually name brand gas. The pump lines are tight which isn't usually an issue...until people start freaking out about an impending storm and then everyone gets super aggressive. The prices are higher then most other uptown stations which are always higher than the 'burbs. Another cost of living in the city. read more

RUDE, employees. They'll yell at you an cause a whole scene if you don't say Goodmorning to them. Yet you can't hear them, especially over their phone that they are consistently on behind the counter. I will never stop here again. Pretty sad when i only live a block away. Gasoline is consistently more expensive here than any other place I frequent -- and not by 10 cents a gallon -- more like 30. I don't ask much of places like this. Quick affordable gas. Cold Diet Coke. Two out of three and you don't have to play chicken to get out of the parking lot. Won't be my first choice but I won't go out of my way to avoid it. read more

It drives my husband insane when I go here for gas but as I always tell him, 1. The pumps always work 2. I feel completely safe getting gas here 3. No one ever hassles me for money while I'm pumping. Consequently, I rarely have to fill up my car since my husband would rather do it for me than have to pay their prices. I've made an emergency potty stop here with a toddler and it wasn't too bad. The store also has a good selection of drinks and snacks. And as others have mentioned, it's our go-to place for Lotto tix. read more

They just added gas pumps with TVs that blare ads at you while you pump. You can't mute it or turn it off. And it's the most expensive gas in the city. I just pumped my last tank here. I live a few blocks away but I'll happily drive further. read more

This one really takes the cake! I went into the store to look for a certain type of drink which they were out of. A young girl followed me out of the store and asked me if I had taken something from their store. I had to show her my Trader Joe's bag, which also doubles as a purse. I said "did you see me take anything?" She evaded the answer. "Well, 8 saw you open the cooler" What???? I am 65. This is beyond bull. I spend a fortune on gas there. Absolutely ridicules!!! Blatant prices gauging!!! Gas prices are $3.96 on 3-27-2013 when in the Metro area they range from $3.26-$3.46. I also was told in the convient store that there was a $5.00 min. on my Icee. Basically on a soda you must pay $5.00 if all you have is a debit. If you want a pack of gum you are screwed royally!!! Warning, enter this place at your own risk. They have a cashier that is extremely rude and has a nasty attitude with the customers. I told her I wanted to buy five lottery tickets and she has the machine print out ten lottery tickets. I explain that I will only pay for and purchase five tickets as previously stated and then she says "you said two sets of five." I told her I don't know anything about sets of tickets but if I wanted ten tickets I would have asked for ten. Also, why would I ask her to print out more tickets than I want to purchase? It does not make any sense. This lady was threatening and belligerent towards me, which is why you should try to avoid this place if at all possible. read more

I am raising this business up to a Three Star. The reason being is that I rarely have to wait to get PowerBall tickets when I purchase them. And that is at the times when the jackpot is large. The staff always wish me good luck. And there is no problem in parking at the business. Additionally the staff knows how to work the PowerBall machine unlike my experience at other places. That usually happens when I wish to buy a ticket for more than one day's play. This is a nice place to get your ticket and without any delay or parking problem. read more

The store itself is OK, with friendly staff and a nice selection of products. Just don't buy gas here unless it's a dire emergency. It's not just a few cents more here, it's ridiculously over priced. If memory serves, they are about 30-40 cents higher than the gas station at Magazine and Washington. read more
