She takes the time to explain why each exercise is important, what part of the body it supports, and how it helps build strength, mobility, and balance. LOVE it! THANK YOU Annie! What I once thought of as "needless torture" is now something I genuinely look forward to. Annie's clear, inspiring explanations turn every session into a mini anatomy lesson, you leave not just feeling stronger, but also understanding your body better. Since working with Annie, I've noticed a real improvement in my balance, which has been such a confidence boost. Her attention to detail and encouragement make you feel supported, whether you're a beginner or more advanced. If you're looking for a Pilates instructor who combines knowledge, passion, and a genuine dedication to her students' progress, Annie H. is truly one of the best.

I'm very confident no therapist could have made my recovery as easy both physically and mentally as Emily and her team did. Even before asking any questions prior to surgery, they addressed all my concerns (a lot of concerns) and explained the importance of physical therapy and what could go wrong if I were a disobedient patient.. Emily is an absolutely amazing physical therapist. In my short basketball career I came in contact with countless NCAA trainers and therapists, sometimes to assist me and other times my teammates. None of them seemed to care a fraction as much as Emily, who never hesitates to share her education to help you better understand what your body is trying to tell you whether it be numbness, pain, or anything in-between. Her number one priority is assuring you get back to the capability you desire. The facility is always clean, every employee from the desk to therapists and interns are extremely pleasant and approachable. The machines are top notch and the environment is always friendly. IBJI has the best physical therapy operation around, you'd be a fool to go anywhere else.

Met…read morewith the owner and discussed a minimum of 2 athletes but possibly more, with a couple of their friends. The issues started with our first session where the trainer contacted me about 2 hours before the session and said he was not able to make it. No reason was given for missing. I then had to chase the owner and the trainer to get the session rescheduled. The owner agreed to take them a couple of days later which I appreciated. We decided to move the session from weekends to weekdays with a different trainer and asked if we could start the sessions at 4:30PM due to after school functions and the owner agreed. On our most recent session, one of my boys was ill, so we sent just the one. Imagine my surprise when we were charged $120 for the hour. I also found out that the regular trainer had been showing up late anywhere from 15-25 minutes for their sessions. The owner was who was working with another athlete was working with my kids until the trainer arrived while splitting time with someone else. Not fair to his regular client and not fair to my kids. I was never made aware of the time issue with the trainer. The owner did say that they preferred to work on the hour and not half hour. However, he did agree to 4:30. When I reached out about the large charge for 1 kid and finding out that their trainer was arriving late for every session, the email that I received was: "I will refund you guys completely. I personally warmed up XXXX as XXXX (Trainer) arrived to the gym, he took over the sessions. in all honesty, I don't think this is a good fit for us. The 4:30 time slot is not great for us and the number of athletes has not been consistent. Sorry for the inconvenience." Remember, he originally agreed to the 4:30 time slot. Even if we chose 4:00PM, the trainer would not have been there at all. Also, with the exception of this last session, there was always 2 at the session and once a friend joined in to make it 3, so I am not sure what consistency he was looking for? I responded that I agreed it is not a great fit and went through all of the mentioned issues and that we would find a new facility. Follow up response was best of luck to you guys and happy holidays.

I gave them a call and started working out with them. I work out with Katie, but have also had Bill, the owner, when Katie wasn't available. I'm so happy I found them! They take Covid seriously. Everyone washed their hands before and after a workout; masks required; no more than two clients allowed at a time. They do "cadence counting" for each exercise... and boy do my muscles get a thorough workout each and every session. They recently bought some new machines from the place that was closing. So I like their new set up and find each machine effective. Great staff, great facility, great workout...

Machines are all in good working condition and get the job done. The machines are also situated in a manner so that you are not concerned with those who may be around you. In front of you is a wall with a focus point, not another person for you to critiques or check out. The trainers seem to know their shit and get it done while working with you to cater to your style of training and push you to your personal abilities. If you have an injury keeping you out of the gym or are interested in the method of strength training, head over there and check them out. This review is strictly towards the facility and staff. No matter if we are meeting for a 6 PM or 6 AM workout he is upbeat, positive and full of energy. The other thing that I really love is how tailored the workout programs are to me. I have an old injury that limits some of my workout options, but Mylen just finds an alternate way for me to complete the specific exercises. I appreciate his creative solutions and always feel comfortable with him. I really trust his expertise. The other great thing about working out here is the facility. It is very clean, private, and easy to park. Since this is a true private workout session - you get a say in what type of music you want in the background to motivate you - sounds silly, but it is a definite plus! If you are looking for individualize training sessions with a true professional then you need to come here. Trust me, you won't regret it. This is the best of the best!

Almost 3 years ago, I was recommended by a friend of mine to check out FIT Boutique and immediately decided to purchase a ten-session package - the prices are very fair. The gym was a new environment for me; there was so much to learn, and I was just a beginner. The owner, Jim, made me feel comfortable and welcomed whenever I stepped foot in FIT Boutique, answering any questions I had regarding exercise. As an all-around very friendly and knowledgeable guy, Jim really motivated me to continue pursuing strength and good health for years to come! My goals when signing up included building muscle, endurance, and strength. My trainer, Shane, instituted growth in me through a vast amount of exercises that helped me reach my goals, and after just the first 2 sessions I was beginning to see the results I wanted. Throughout the process, he motivated me to push myself, and also made sure I felt good after each workout. Needless to say, this was a life-changing period of time for me as I gained skills, perfected form, and I continue to learn exercises. I definitely recommend you check out FIT Boutique!

Jim, the owner and my trainer has been cool and flexible with my schedule and has provided just the right amount of motivation without making things unpleasant. The price is a bit expensive, but you are paying for good equipment in a convenient location, and one-on-one time with a professional. When I am there, the gym is not crowded and the music has been good. Try it out - as far as I know, the $100 for 8 1 hour personal training sessions is still going.

In February my father had a hip replacement, and about 5 weeks ago in September he had a full knee replacement on the opposite leg. He is an avid cyclist, and in good shape (thanks to Donny), but he is now also 74 years old. With the support of this trainer, who works specifically with seniors or nearing that stage in life (though he is still incredible with others like me too!!!) Dad is back on the road 5 weeks post op, riding his bike, and more (should I mention he was on the roof, or driving 3 weeks sooner than he should have been?) Seriously folks, if it were not for Donny's guidance, Dad would never have been able to get through this as well as he has, and in all honesty...he probably would have had to have the surgeries sooner, and also backed off of a sport he is passionate about. Now he is hoping to even run his first 5k and do "at least" a sprint distance triathlon. Pretty soon after, I knew I was going to need to do something for my mental and physical health, so I Googled "Pilates studio Highland Park," came across Body Evolve, and booked a 10-pack. I have a dance background and have been studying Pilates on the West coast for about 15 years. I've worked with Master Instructors Lara Hudson and David Woods and have fairly high expectations when it comes to a Pilates studio experience. Body Evolve exceeded all of my expectations. Their in-person reformer classes are a max capacity of 4. This allows the instructors to be very hands-on, and give personal corrections and guidance throughout the class. The studio is HUGE compared to what I'm used to in San Francisco, and it's on the second level of the building surrounded by windows with beautiful natural light shining in, especially in the morning. So, so peaceful, even when the class is tough! My first class happened to be on Yom Kippur. The other 3 students had cancelled as a result. Much to my surprise, Body Evolve and instructor Kathy kept the class on the books and gave me a private lesson for an hour! Because it was a 1:1, Kathy and I got to talking and I shared my circumstances around my visit. She was so kind and compassionate and I left there feeling whole. I've since taken classes with Jenay, Sarah, and Arlene and all of them are fabulous instructors. To me, the amazing instructors are the ones who work seamless transitions into the movements. Yes, you have to change your springs or walk to the other side of the reformer every once in a while, but if the transitions between movements are smooth and keep you working, you know the instructors know what they are doing. This is the case always at Body Evolve. The other ladies in the classes are very friendly too, everyone introduced themselves to me as the newbie in class (it seems like everyone knows each other at this studio, which is awesome!). If you live in the North Shore, or are simply visiting like me, take a few classes here. You are bound to be in for a great experience and an amazing workout too.
