The hours are extremely flexible being open from 4am-12am most days of the week and I really love that they have a big kids club for parents to be able to have childcare during their workouts. All the staff I've interacted with have always been very polite. Now for the not so good. Most hours of the day, this place is crowded. Certain machines that are extremely popular are very hard to get access to which requires me to wait around for the machine I need. I also get approached numerous times by people asking me how many sets I have left or if they can work in with me. There are a lot of people in their late teens/very early 20s that use this gym as a social club. They will utilize the machines together and stay on for over 30 minutes not allowing other members to have a turn. A lot of people do not wipe their equipment and there seems to be no signage or enforcement to encourage people to do so. I have also noticed that weights don't get put back in the correct spaces or at all in some cases with a few wobbly weight benches and divots in the floors next to the weight racks that you can easily trip in. I love the recovery room and red light therapy but I really wish that yoga was a part of the regular membership instead of requiring an upgrade. The locker room doesn't provide hair dryers, towels or any hygienic items as other gyms do. I'm continuing to use Vasa as of now, but I'm keeping my options open for other gyms in the area that would be less crowded.

The price is a bit expensive, but you are paying for good equipment in a convenient location, and one-on-one time with a professional. When I am there, the gym is not crowded and the music has been good. Try it out - as far as I know, the $100 for 8 1 hour personal training sessions is still going.

It's small enough that clients receive personal attention/help during group circuit training. The guidance and tips from trainers Goran & Mia absolutely improved my somewhat marginal positioning during various exercises. And they constantly watch out for people so they don't overdo. But be clear, if they know you can do a few more reps, they will cheer you on to squeeze a few more in. Goran says once it starts to feel like you are getting tired from the reps, try to do 5 more because those last 5 are the ones that really count to tax your muscles so they will strengthen. Everyone is encouraging and kind and truly wants to see you improve and get stronger. And in my first several weeks of going (1 hr 3x week), I meet some wonderful people who have been going to Premier Fitness for many years, even decades! That should tell you something right there!

In February my father had a hip replacement, and about 5 weeks ago in September he had a full knee replacement on the opposite leg. He is an avid cyclist, and in good shape (thanks to Donny), but he is now also 74 years old. With the support of this trainer, who works specifically with seniors or nearing that stage in life (though he is still incredible with others like me too!!!) Dad is back on the road 5 weeks post op, riding his bike, and more (should I mention he was on the roof, or driving 3 weeks sooner than he should have been?)
