I took both of my boys and they love it. The weekly sessions have already helped them gain strength and endurance, and this cross-training has helped them in their other sports of swimming and basketball. My swimmer has gained upper body strength in short amount of time and this has helped him in his butterfly stroke and my baller has picked up the endurance he needs to play basketball for the full-hour without getting tired. This is a fantastic gym, everyone who comes in is super friendly, and Marco is super trainer! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn boxing, anyone who is looking to cross-train with their main sports, anyone is just looking for a great, intense workout and anyone who is also looking to gain discipline through a martial arts. While most people don't think of boxing as a martial art, it is a unique sport that has one of the best all around body work-outs and Marco is the best to get the best out of anyone who comes through the doors of his gym. Highly recommend this to anyone and twice on Sunday.

Worth every cent, she feels confident and I believe she would put up a pretty good fight if she was put in a situation where she had to. While she went to learn some basic's in case she needed it, she also fell in love with boxing and intends to continue to box in college. Marco is extremely professional and knows his stuff. I can't recommend him enough. my daughter will be back next summer!

Beautiful studio. It is well designed and clean. The…read morebikes and other equipment are nice. Instructors: Erin and Courtney take the time to plan out their classes and are very good motivators. The owner (Julie) who teaches the most classes tends to run the same class day after day and "wings it" If you purchase a monthly "unlimited" pass you will find, its not "unlimited" They charge extra for some classes. When I purchased my membership, Spin/Yoga/boxing/strength classes were all included in the price of the membership. At some point this changed, but we were never informed. I was also charged extra for holiday classes, class cancellations also have to be done at least 12 hours before class. If not yup gotta pay more fees. The owner says "we had to separate spin membership from yoga/boxing/cut classes." And when did you send out this information to members?? We paid for UNLIMITED classes but one day yoga, boxing and strength classes became extra charges! No email, no communication, no explanation. we were Blind-sided! Once these issues came up, I decided I no longer wanted to be a member at Studio Spin. After communicating this to the owner, they then strictly enforced a "30 day notice" to terminate a membership that could not deliver the classes I was paying for and changed which classes I could attend for the membership plan I paid for without any communication or option to cancel which I should have been given considering they changed the rules. We all should have been informed and given opportunity to opt out without having to give notice. shady dont you think? (Rev 10.1.3)

They walked me into the class and adjusted the bike to make sure I was comfortable. The instructor did a fantastic job motivating everyone to get them to keep going. I loved the different lights as you rode with a different intensity level. We then transitioned to the room for some floor work. What a great way to cool down from a 45m ride. I can't wait to pop in again for another class!!

One month was all it took to get me hooked. I feel great after each session and kept renewing, month after month. There are about a dozen people - men, and women - in our group, and on an average day eight or nine show up. The main theme of the sessions is boxing, but don't be fooled by the name. We do a lot of stretching, flexibility, balance exercises and cardio besides punching the bags. No slugging it out with another person. We work with basketballs, medicine balls, ropes, dumbbells, step-up benches among other things. I have been a client of MR for 14 months. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 10 years ago, and I found Movement Revolution through a newspaper article. During that time Daisy has been our group's session leader. She is an accomplished trainer with years of experience - and it shows. For each session she plans a fresh workout - never boring, always challenging. Her hard nosed approach may be due in part her family life growing up. She describes the way her older brother taught her to swim by just taking her to the deep water and throwing her in. She has the kind of toughness that you see when athletic girls acquire when they have all brothers - no sisters. Toughness with compassion - always there to help those people who might be struggling. The Deerfield gym has modern equipment and plenty of parking. It uses only a fraction of the space; there are 4 full basketball courts that share the facility. I rate this wonderful place 5 stars.

Unfortunately, LA Fitness as a business has been the complete opposite. The gym constantly has broken machines, sinks that don't work, a front door thats broken for weeks, and there hasn't been hot water for nearly two weeks. Then, today, I walked in and found out the gym is closing permanently on November 20, giving members just 17 days' notice. I recently paid $720 for 9 personal training sessions and $118 for the annual membership fee, both of which I can't use now. My trainer told me he's out of town until after the gym closes, so I literally cannot use what I already paid for. When I spoke with Jessica Zavala, the District Operations Manager, she refused a refund and kept repeating the fine print of the contract, like she was a lawyer. She said I could "just go to another club" or "pick a new trainer." I don't have transportation. The only reason I'm able to work out at this gym is because my wife drops me off on her way to work. I didn't sign up to start over with a different trainer or go to a different gym miles away. I paid for this location, with this trainer, and expected LA Fitness to operate in good faith. This is incredibly unethical and shows zero integrity. A multi-billion-dollar company should not be hiding behind contract technicalities while closing a gym with barely two weeks' notice and refusing to refund customers for services they can't possibly use. All I want is a fair refund for what I didn't get.

I recently planned a scavenger hunt for my daughter's birthday party and was thinking a mini martial arts class may be fun. However, when I looked at their website I noticed they had virtual reality, which I knew would be an even bigger hit among the 3rd grade girls. I set up a virtual reality station w/ Richard for the scav hunt and it was the highlight (among many other amazing activities). There were 3 different stations for the kids to choose from including a roller coaster for the bravest of the kids. I did it myself and it truly feels like you're on a real roller coaster. Richard went out of his way to make sure the kids had fun and even brought in a DJ to make it extra fun. So many of the kids mentioned to me they had no idea Temple of Kung Fu was even in the mall and can't wait to go back. Virtual reality and martial arts are just a few of the things Richard/Kung Fu offers so definitely encourage you to check it out!
