Sub-Sational! If you are looking for a well made, large sub, this is the place for you. Between their Cheese steaks and other well known specialties, this place is the tops. I eat there at least once a week. Buy a large sub, eat 1/2 for lunch and save teh other 1/2 for the next day. If you are starving, and daring for that matter, eat a full large. It's been a couple years since my daughter and I were steered here by a local when we were passing through Acton. At that time we enjoyed a couple of the best cheese steaks ever, and we've been to Philly. Geno's, Pat's, Olivieri's... done 'em all. T.C. Lando's is right up there. In fact, the memory of those cheese steaks was enough to make me Google and Yelp around for the name of this place - which we had forgotten - when we realized we'd be back in Acton tonight. Tonight on our return trip, she had the classic cheese steak, (sm. 6.99) and I had the Giambotta - a cheese steak loaded with steak, melted provolone cheese, sauteed green peppers, mushrooms, onions, sausage, pepperoni, Genoa salami and tomato sauce. (sm. 7.99). Both sandwiches were fantastic. Fresh sub rolls, stuffed full of tender juicy meat, lots of cheese, all wrapped up really nicely. The tops of the sandwiches were covered with tin foil and then wrapped in a couple layers of grease resistant paper. I've been to lots sub joints and unwrapped many lesser and messier sandwiches. And here's the kicker. I called ahead and asked if they could prepare my sandwiches to be ready in 40 minutes. The guy on the phone said "no problem." He wasn't kidding: I walked in right on time and he was scooping the meat off the griddle and into the waiting roll as I approached the counter. Maybe it was luck, but I don't think so. 99 out of 100 times that I pick up food, the "to-go" stuff is sitting and growing cold waiting for me, or I need to stand around for 15 minutes after I get there. Lando's - who got everything else about our subs exactly right - got this exactly right too. Great cheese steaks, great service, fair price. That's gotta be 4 stars. And, I didn't have to go to Philadelphia! Plus 1 star. read more

If you thought the cheesesteak sandwiches at the Great Steak and Fry Co. at the malls were good, you never had a cheesesteak at T.C. Landos. The small size is actually a large at 99% of any restaurant you'd walk into. Their large for $1 are enormous. Basically, what you're getting here in lunch and breakfast! Good stuff! Recommedations: Steak Special, Porkey or Smokey Joe Steak Sub read more

They have the very best steak n cheese out in Hudson! These subs are completely filled of yummy goodness at a reasonable price, only place i go for them..Pizza is also so very good!Never disappointed! read more

This is our go-to place for burritos in Acton. I've tried a variety of them, and they never fail to satisfy. I moved to Acton a few months ago, and this weekend, received a "welcome to town" voucher for a free pizza at TC Landos- no strings attached. They'll be seeing my face again soon- but this time with a pizza on the usual burrito order. I wish that I could rate this as a 4.5, but I had to take off a whole star for the "experience"- it's a takeout only (there are stools and a window bar so i suppose that you could stay and eat if you wanted to, but there's honestly barely any room) but the customer area is very small so even while you're waiting for your food, you're constantly shuffling around to get out of people's way and not get whacked in the head by pizza boxes. My recommendation would be to order ahead to avoid the waiting. read more

Pros:still the best tasting and most unique steak subs around. Cons:EVERYTHING else Service is rude as hell, literally rudest ive had anywhere. They act like they are doing you a favor doing their job. Prices:are now crazy outrageous and keep growing constantly, meanwhile sizes have shrunk a LOT from what they used to be. Still no delivery service.. Like they can't afford it? Even the owner often talks on his phone if you see him helping customers... What the hell kind of service is that? I've been coming here since high school in 1998,back then this was THE place to go, now it's just an overpriced hangout for teens at the local schools. I actually sent a request into phantom gourmet they re eval their previous review as the place has changed SO much since then. It's sad as I used to rave about this place now I really can't recommend it unless you like being ripped off and being treated like a piece of dirt while doing so. Never again. read more

Quantity is definily not quality! I got a steak sub very well stuffed but which was a unseasoned! No taste at all, Got a huge salad and the 2 pieces of the chicken was over cooked then to complet and hold the fame of quantity more chicken was trowed into the salad and some of the chicken was uncooked near to raw! You get a lot for what you pay but very unprofessional prepared. read more

I have been a fan and loyal customer of the Landos for probably 40 years - starting back in Maynard and then when they moved to my hometown of Acton. During my high school years at AB Friday night dinners from TC Lando's were a regular thing for my family as we were all going our separate ways and doing our own things in and around town but that was the one thing we all agreed on and enjoyed. Unfortunately after my experience last night - and my last visit there a couple of weeks ago when my order wasn't ready on time and then I got home with it I found out it was wrong, my TC Lando days are done. They seem to have fallen off when it comes to service and I wonder if they even care about their customers anymore. I went in last night on my way home and ordered a small pizza to go. (When I walked into the Acton location there was another person sitting on a stool waiting for his food but that was it.) There were certainly plenty of people working - I counted 5 behind the counter. Truthfully, I found over $14.00 for a small pizza to be a little high but I paid it and sat on a stool to wait. While I was there two people came in to pick up their small phone orders and one man who had ordered online came and got his food and the person waiting when I walked in also got his sub. So it wasn't busy at all. (None of these orders contained a pizza so my pizza was the only one I was aware of the entire time I was in there.) The guy who took my order seemed to kind of stick 'up front' at the counter and helped everyone who walked in. There was a woman who seemed, for the most part, to be responsible for making and cooking any pizzas, and I'm not sure what the other three were doing - I did see a girl at the grill doing a steak and cheese at one point but the other two males seemed to just be joking around as it was relatively quiet. After what seemed like a lengthy time for one pizza the guy who took my order asked me what I was waiting for - at this point I am the only one in the place, and I told him a pizza. He asked what kind and I told him and I saw him go back to the pizza oven and open it. He then shut the oven and called for the woman who seemed responsible for the pizza to come over and he said he needed her to make a pizza while laughing. I was now standing at the counter looking at everyone waiting for somebody to tell me what was going on and all I got was the guy laughing then others joining in. I asked another one of the employees who was closer to me what was wrong and he told me that she overcooked my pizza. Not once did anyone there apologize to me for the long wait or the fact that they messed up!! The first thing you should do is try to make it right for your customer - not all sit around and laugh at it. (And how did this get overcooked when I was the only one in there?) They all had time to gather around somebody's phone and watch whatever was on it but not to pay attention to the food they were supposed to be making? I didn't have time to wait for another pizza as I had hungry kids waiting at the house; and the fact that nobody is apologizing to me, but they all laughed about it, really irritated me so I asked for my money back. I took out the card I used to pay for it and - sure enough, suddenly nobody there knows how to refund money to a card. How is this possible? Tory and Carl Lando - look who you are leaving your store with when you aren't there!! These people work for you in a place that bears your name and yet they can't even make a pizza, apologize when a mistake is made, or refund money that is owed to your customer. IMHO - shameful! Carl, who does know me as a loyal customer there, I will miss your food and I have loved supporting local hard workers through all these years but your service has gone so far downhill and it seems none of your employees really cares about the customer. read more

Ordered three subs. Food is fine but customer service is horrible. They could care less if you are nice to them or not they will still treat you like bottomfeeders. This is my 4th time ordering from TC, they hang up mid-way to ordering food on the phone as they think you are done talking. They get your name wrong every time on the order. They refuse to split bills even though they agree to do it when asked the first time, ultimately charging my card more money than what I asked for. Then when asked why not just give me change for cash they say "Tough shit" "Stop being a cheap bastard". These guys need to learn better customer service or else they won't last long in the food business. read more

TC Landos is always busy and packed when I've gone for lunch. But do not let that scare you away the wait times are not very long. The people taking your order don't want you standing around trying to decide what you want when it's your turn but nobody else there wants to wait either so go with whatever you enjoy and I guarantee you it will be delicious. I go there for one thing and that's the cheese steaks. They use cubed steak which is nice and tender and the cheese to steak ratio is just perfect. In my opinion the best cheese steak I've had anywhere ever. And yes I've been to philly and had that joke of a cheese steak at the "best spots". The pizza is also great which is usually ready to go by the slice when you are. Overall don't let long lines or New England attitudes scare you away from this place the food quality and quantity you get will keep you coming back for more. P.s if you order a sub just for yourself get a small the large will put you into a food coma. read more

They have the worst customer service! We order take out and asked for extra dressing for salads. When we picked up food ask straight to the guys face "is the extra dressing and he said yes". Got home and no dressing for 4 salads. This place is the worst. Do not eat food from them!!!! read more

Good place for a throughly heart-stopping and filling lunch. My co-worker and I frequently grab subs from this landmark during the work week. He typically gets a cheesesteak with extra cheese and devours it. Personally, I'm a fan of the "Budster" which is like an 8-ball of arterial-clogging goodness. The menu continues to expand like waistlines so feel free to branch out. The place can get busy during the lunch rush but the staff is generally cordial and effective managing everyone and their order. There's very little counter space to sit and I don't think I've ever seen anyone try to eat-in. So be prepared to take your order to go! read more

Their cherry bomb steak and cheese subs are really good. It's the best steak and cheese sub that I have ever had. You don't have to take my word for it, try it yourself. They all are moderately priced and I am sure that you will be a fan after trying it. This is the perfect place for if you are looking for something affordable, fast and good. It may not be the healthy alternative, but every now and then you do need to spoil yourself. read more

Words fail to describe the experience of eating at TC Lando's. Sure the price is a tad steep (10 bucks for a large sub) but once you see the size of the thing they hand you, you will quickly forget the high price. Actually you will quickly forget a lot of things because all the blood in your head will rush down to your stomach in a effort to digest the beast of a sub your swallowing. Lets face it, a sub that is the size of small dog and has more meat in it than your mom really deserves some sort of award. Its delicious. By the time your done, if of course you can finish it in one sitting, you will be unable to move. The shear effort of getting up will be too much. The subs weigh you down, and not in a "I shouldn't have eating that" sort of way. Its more like the "if I move my gut is going to explode and traumatize everyone in the room" sort of way. Get the Kamikaze and don't be a chicken, order a large. read more

I was thoroughly pleased with T.C. Lando's. We were in the area and happened to drive by and, having heard about their cheesesteak subs, decided to give it a try. 8 bucks for a large sub heaping with a generous portion of meat. I got the cheesesteak combo with onions and mushrooms, and my husband went for the Kami-Kaze, a cheesesteak with artery clogging meats like sausage and bacon mixed with a tasty BBQ sauce. These guys definitely make a great sub, and we were full! Lots of good stuff on their menu. I was impressed by the variety of subs, sandwiches, pizza, even burritos. We each noted several items that we'd like to try next time. Service was pretty good, kind of what you expect at a sub shop. No complaints. They seemed used to handling a high volume of customers. Only bad thing was the extremely small waiting area and no tables to eat at. There was a narrow counter in front of the window with stools, but certainly not comfortable, especially if there are 10 other people in there waiting for their food. read more

A friend of mine that resides in Acton had been talking up "Cloud City" for five years as the best place to get a steak & cheese and the measure of all other steak & cheese subs. I was finally able to make the pilgrimage today and was not disappointed. I got a regular old large steak & cheese sub and was fairly impressed. It's size was ridiculously huge (I was able to finish it, but it's about twice the size of a normal sub anywhere else). The bread was extremely fresh. Somehow, the steak & cheese subs are greaseless... it was amazing, and I'm a fan of grease. They could have put more cheese on the sub, though it wasn't too dry to eat. Overall, I will be sure to go back next time I'm in Acton, but I won't be making any special trips to get there. And I'll definitely be getting the small sub instead of the large one. read more

This place is a definite guilty pleasure! The steak and cheese subs are greasy and delicious- especially the firecracker with pepperoni! They also have a yummy hawaiian chicken with cheese which I get when I am trying to get a "healthy" sub. I would say a small here is certainly substantial enough for one, and a large is big enough to split. Tiny location so definitely plan to order out. There are other related locations, as well, which are equally as good. There is another TC Lando's in Hudson and Carl's in Waltham. Overall, completely unhealthy but delicious! This place is in our, "help, there is no food in our house and we need dinner! quick!" rotation. read more

Crooks and snakes. They think that because they melt their cheese they can treat customers like an after thought. I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza with EXTRA blue cheese on the side. Not only did I not get extra blue cheese, but I did not get any at all. Umm who eat buffalo chicken without even remotely being offered blue cheese? Did not offer an apology, snot nosed sounding "manager" informed me "they have nothing to do with doordash" ... umm I didn't ask if you had anything to do with doordash. I ordered a product from you and I want what I asked for. They refused to bring me an essential ingredient to my dinner even thought I paid $40. YOU CREATE THE ORDER AND REPRESENT YOUR OWN COMPANY. and I'm not stupid I DO DOORDASH, I blame the company for not checking the order and making sure it's assembled with what's needed before it goes into the dashers hands. This company refuses to follow through on orders and refuse to bring you something you paid a good dollar for when they themselves are to blame. I spent $40 tonight on a bucket of Frank's hot sauce and hard cold dough. Don't waste your time and please don't support these nasty, lack-of-basic-morals types of businesses. read more

I go to this sub shop once or twice a month and even though the cherry bomb sub is delicious I can't stand the people there. I will say this the food keeps me coming back but every time I get a craving for it I dread walking into the place. The steak they use is higher quality steak you can definitely taste that. The bread is a soft bread that soaks up the grease it compliments the meat well. That is the good part of the place here is where the problem is One time I went to the Leominster location and ordered a sub because I didn't tip them one of the gentlemen said "thanks for tipping us asshole" My reply simple ask for a raise I don't tip any other pizza or sub shop. Another time I went there I had to wait for a good 40 to 45 minutes. I was clearly annoyed as I had to get back to work. I guess they noticed because the person in the front says "Hey you jack off here's you sub get lost" Last time I was there I guess it was the owner working the register in Acton. He new a guy in front of me and was joking with him and stated "Come on up don't worry about these jamocks in front of you" Mind you there are other not so pleasant things that have happened to me at this place but these stand out the most. So here's my advice go there knowing the people there are going to be rude and idiots. They aren't going to treat you good just try and get your food and get out. Even better call ahead so the communication when your there is as little as possible. Or you can make the sub yourself with the ingredients listed on the menu. I do that a lot now because really it's just not worth dealing with them. read more

I used to live in the area, and ate TC's often. I still swing by for a bite when I visit my parents. This place offers amazing steak subs! And great portions. I've tried to like TC Lando's. But today I ordered a small pizza and it was...bad. Halfway through my second slice, I stumbled upon a very very sweet taste, almost like perfume. I tried to keep eating, but I was super grossed out. And not for nothing, the pizza was greasy and soggy. read more

I stopped going here two years ago because every damn time I got my food it was wrong, every single freaking time. So I figured I would give it another shot just recently, well at least they are consistent. Another totally screwed up order. They should call this place TC Rando's because you never know what you are actually going to get. How hard is it to honestly write down an order and make the thing, this is not rocket science. read more

Their subs are absolutely divine. Theyre incredibly large, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and come packed with your meat of choice.

This is the best pickup pizza sub place in a 20 mile radius. Their subs are incredible in size and worth the trip from 3 towns over. Heres a hint get a large grilled chicken, cumcumbers lettuce black olives carrots feta cheeeeese, and a side of greek dressing and you'll have the best meal for the next two days that you could have ever imagined. Zoinks! Maybe the service isnt the friendliest but hell what do i care, im just calling in the order and picking it up. read more

These guys used to be the best in the business! Seriously, I went there even after I stopped eating garbage. But the last few times I've been in there, it's been absolutely horrible. I don't really care about the service at a place like this, so that's never an issue for me, though the woman behind the counter is flat out unimpressed and border line rude from the moment you walk in the door. Then again, if your going to a sub shop for social delicacy, you might be a stupid head. No, the problem is two fold. Prices have gone up while portions have gone down first of all. Now it's 10.50 for a large steak and cheese. With tax it's almost 12 bucks. Not only that, But they used to make the hugest sub I've ever seen. Now it's a little bigger than normal and 5 dollars more expensive. It's airport prices without the airport. The biggest thing though is that the food sucks now. The bread is stale, the steak itself is almost white it's so full of fat, and it just doesn't taste the same. Frankly, it doesn't even taste good. That's all I got. They suck now. read more

While they have the best steak subs around, this location is the worst one. The people are rude and they consistently mess up my order. I get people are human and mistakes happen but man it happens a lot at this location read more

If the TV commercials with tits and ass aren't enough, the employees are rude (including the dude from the commercial) and make you feel like you're bothering them.
