I have worked with Eddy and Hammer construction for more than 10 years now and they have worked on…read moremore than 75 different homes for me. Additionally, I have referred him to more than a dozen of my clients for their home improvement and repair projects. Eddy is my "go-to" for so many of my projects! I know that when I give Eddy a scope of work, he will exceed my expectations, his craftsmanship and attention to detail are right up there with mine, and that is saying a lot! He is easy to communicate with and is always available to offer his suggestions and input, this has proven invaluable in so many situations, whether its coming up with a new kitchen layout, or recently, how to effectively raise a ceiling in a hallway that I was told otherwise could not be done. The time and thought he puts into helping on his projects is second to none. He will spend his personal time coming up with solutions to achieve the desired result and many times I am just blown away with how he is able to figure out complex situations with ease. Eddy works from his heart, has the utmost respect for his clients and the pride he takes in his work shows. Eddy has handled a wide range of scopes for me, from minor flooring installation and painting, to full scale six figure renovations, that have included tearing the home down to the studs and building everything back from the foundation, electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, walls, ceilings, roof, you name it! I never doubt his abilities and am always ecstatic with the final product. I know that if I give him the job it will exceed my expectations and that is why I am so confident when I refer him to my clients as well; I know that they will be happy with the end result! I often work with a variety of skill level trades, but when I want the best most capable, all around contractor, I choose Hammer Construction.

Highly recommended!

David (owner) came by the house and assessed the spa tub and he realized my huge issue. David gave me a little bit of his history and the way he expressed his knowledge was good enough to give him a try. I am a combat Persian Gulf Veteran on a fixed income. He was able to work with me since I did not have the whole quote on hand. He also took a chance on me which I am very grateful and thankful that there are kind business owners who will be flexible. Thank you David (California Contracting). I recommend California Contracting 100% P.s. He also did our restroom floor new countertop. Amazing. Thanks again David.

I normally don't leave reviews, but after more than five years, I feel others should know about…read morethis experience. A family member hired this contractor, paid the project in full, and to this day the work remains unfinished. More than five years later, the hall bathroom still does not have a completed tub or shower. Throughout this entire process, there has been excuse after excuse, promises that the work would be finished, and repeated commitments that were never honored. Delays can happen on any construction project, but five years is beyond unreasonable--especially after being paid in full. Communication has been inconsistent, and every time it seemed like there was finally going to be progress, another excuse would follow. If you're considering hiring this contractor, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing, avoiding full payment until all work is completed to your satisfaction, and carefully considering whether this is someone you want to trust with your home. I hope this review encourages the contractor to finally make things right, but more importantly, I hope it helps other homeowners make an informed decision.
