He had said he was bringing a trailer, and I thought he would be some old junker. But no! It was a clean, shiny, new, fully enclosed big beauty! He loaded up all my plants efficiently, then asked if I needed anything more to put in the trailer. So, I asked him to help me get some Christmas boxes and decorations from my attic in the garage, which is did willingly and helpfully. Once the trailer was full, he met me at my new place and promptly unloaded all the stuff and put it where I wanted. Plus he's very nice and easy to work with! Highly recommend.

On moving day, there was a slight miscommunication which was quickly solved by Ali (the foreman). Dima and Toby were just overall amazing guys, who kept moving boxes at an incredible speed while being extremely careful with my stuff. They truly cared to provide a great service, and it showed. I've hired moving companies in the past who were either sluggish in hopes of clocking more hours, unreliable, or just straight negligent with my stuff. Respect Movers certainly is a cut above the rest of the competition. Overall, the company offers great value and is reliable, but the credit goes to their movers. Seven years later, thinking about this experience still makes me absolutely livid at the disrespectful, unprofessional movers we hired. We hired this company to move from our 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom apartment. They showed up AFTER the end of the appointment window. They were the slowest movers I've ever hired. When we got to the new apartment, which is on the second floor, and at the end of a long building, they parked in the middle of the building. There's a gate at the corner of the building very close to our apartment, but they parked in the middle of the building, 100 yards away, because there's an elevator there, and we had ONE heavy piece of furniture. They were slow and they complained. They finished and left around 1 AM, an 8 or 9 hour move from a NoHo 1 bedroom to Northridge. They put a dent in the wall, gouged my refrigerator on something, plus damage to other pieces of furniture that we discovered while settling in over the next couple weeks. I waited seven years to finish this review hoping to find some objectivity about the experience, but it still makes me angry how much I paid them for their unprofessional service, which by the way was at least a couple hundred more than I was quoted. Maybe they've since fired their terrible workers, maybe they have better standards now... I'll never know, because I would never hire this company again, and would emphatically urge anyone looking for moving services to look elsewhere.

I hired them by the hour - not by the job. Not the best strategy." Wrong. These guys really work as quickly as possible and are totally focused on YOUR needs. The packed up my place and we drove over to my new place. Again, they had the same hustle and spirit when we got to the new place. They put everything where I asked them to, put the beds together, etc. They were super careful with everything from packed boxes to furniture to TVs. Not one thing broke - not one wall or floor was scratched. They are simply wonderful. Finally, from my first call with Sean (who also calls after the move to get your feedback) to the last item moved, the experience could not have been better. These guys CARE and it shows. Nothing heavy. No stairs. No appliances. They quoted me 150 an hr. Thought we were all set... But of course the guy calls me the day before the move and says it's going to be $250 an hour. Classic bait and switch super rude left us scrambling to find another mover last minute. We ended up going with another company who came in clutch with 3 guys for $120 hr. They were done in under 3 hours with the entire move including travel and a 15 minute uncharged break.

He was persistent about my belonings being stored in his storage unit and I tried communicating multiple times I would like to have my belonings removed but I was not sure what to do because he was going to charge me again to remove my belongings out of his storage unit. So then I hire a company to have them removed and they left some of my boxes there because of miscommunication.
