My storage location is a 5 minute drive from their store in Biddeford. It took the employee 5-10 minutes to remove the old lock. The service fee was $125 and I think it to be excessive. Comparable fees quoted online in Biddeford range $50-$95. I'm pleased with the service and the result but think the charge was excessive.

There are thousands of hydraulic fittings, taps and dies, tools, etc. It's endless. This is sort of like an old fashioned hardware store with endless little bins and a guy who knows everything, but on a Home Depot scale. There's stuff inside that probably hasn't been made in 20 years and much of it is gigantic, as you'd expect from their name, Industrial Hardware. It's a tremendous treasure hunt and if you're the kind of person who can appreciate a store like this, you don't want to miss it.

I'm so glad someone told me about this place. It's much closer than driving to other larger stores and they had plenty of stuff! I also can't say enough good things about every one who works here.

And, if I go to one, I usually end up going to the other immediately afterward to see if they have what I was looking for if the other didn't, so I think I've done this mash-up to myself. Things I like about the Brighton location: 1. It's always less busy than the other location. 2. The parking lot is less chaotic as a result. 3. When "the mall" location is out of something specific (like the white ceramic allen + roth indoor planter I'd like ALL my flora friends to be in), Brighton usually has it. 4. I don't know if they're actually smaller than "the mall" location, but they've got an impressive selection of outdoor plants (flowers, herbs, veggies) in Spring/Summer. 5. I think the staff here is nicer. Things I like about both locations: 1. Using the outside register. Things I don't like about either locations: 1. They're horrible inside registers (both the self check-out and the ones with people). Things I like about Lowe's in general: I think Lowe's as a corporate brand does a good job at seasonality. Unlike Walmart, the Dollar Tree, and even Target who, for example, have their back-to-school stuff up by early July and have already transitioned completely away from anything summer/patio/gardening, Lowe's doesn't. Some of us don't have our gardens planted by Memorial Day, so I appreciate that I can still get my mint and dill "later" in the season, I guess.

I cannot say enough about the amazingly kind and thorough help I received recently from Phil at…read moreRocky's Ace Hardware in Dover, NH. When my key with new battery would not start my Toyota Corolla, Phl, the Manager, I believe, leaped in to help! At first he got the snow plow to try to jump start to no avail, but Phil stayed with me. He had the intelligence to finally realize my key had been wiped and had to be reprogrammed. He sat in the car on a busy, cold, snowy day with me managing the all call and reprogramming of my FREE new key! When we had to wait, he made sure I had a comfortable chair in the office and free popcorn. I was so touched by the whole operation - Phil saved me the expense of calling AAA or having to buy a new key and he waved off the plow driver who returned to ask for payment for trying (unsuccessfully) to jump start my car. I cannot say how grateful I am to Phil (from Liverpool) for his thoughtful kindness, expert attention, and thorough professionalism. I highly recommend you do business with him! Thank you, Phil!!!!!!!
