Agren is a well oiled machine. The scheduling process and execution work as expected, and the service people show up on time and are well trained and pleasant to work with. The fix went well. I have ordered at least 10 high end appliances from Agren over the years and have been a faithful customer until now. The refrigerator that I purchased from them 10 years ago broke down and I called them to schedule a service call. They said it would be 6 weeks!!!! What do you do for 6 weeks without a refrigerator. I purchased these appliances from Agren because they claim they will service them. Again, I say they couldn't send someone out for 6 weeks! I called another local company and they fit me in the very next day. I will never again purchase an appliance from Agren. NEVER! Also, I had an issue with the ice maker on said refrigerator about a year after I purchased it and a burner on a gas stove I also purchased from them (over 5K for these two appliances). These appliances sit side by side and when I called to make a service call for both them they said that I would have to book and pay for two separate service calls. COME ON! Is this how you treat a loyal customer? In the last year I purchased a front loading washer and dryer. The dryer just doesn't dry clothes. I called them immediately to come take a look and the service technician simply told me to read the manual and that the dryer was fine. Didn't show me how it worked just told me to read. I read the manual before calling and long story short he was no help and the dryer still struggles to dry a load of laundry (already checked other factors like the vent etc). Overall POOR service once you have made the purchase and have the appliance. Great before that point. I will NEVER buy another appliance from them again!!!!!!!!!! Agren got me out of a tight spot. I'd originally ordered a dishwasher from one of the big box stores but I had to cancel the order because they couldn't deliver the appliance on the day we had arranged. With renters on the way, I reached out to Agren in Saco and Justin Shea got back to me the next morning, set up the purchase and had the dishwasher delivered and installed exactly as he promised. I can go on and on with the frustration of dealing with Agren's in Saco, but I'll save you time. We had an issue with a combo washer/dryer from the time of purchase, they came to our house a total of 4 times to try and correct it to no avail. Every time, they blame the consumer only to find out is if they blame the user, they don't have to exercise the warranty that they sell at a premium. And oh, BTW, no one from the sales floor to Service Mgr. has the authority to deem an appliance a lemon. Lastly, take a good look at all the reviews, the majority and all positive reviews were for Vic's appliances which was great. Bought a GE refrigerator from Agrens just delivered today and was pleased with the workers very nice made sure we were informed on all the paperwork warranties any information of everything we need to know. They were careful with all the parts not getting scratched got it all set up nicely, friendly workers, would recommend them for all appliances. read more

I went into the store today in Saco to look at the different brands of appliances. There were many. At one point I was asked if I had a question and I responded politely with no. I was left uninterrupted to thoroughly investigate the brands and each type of appliance offered. Eventually of course I did have a question. George Pelletier answered my question and all the others that followed. In addition he gave more information than I even knew enough to ask. I am confident that with all my newly acquired knowledge I will make the right choice for my appliance needs. Our JennAir range quit working about a month after installation. Called for service on November 12th but will have to wait until December for repair. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Based on other Yelp reviews, Agren clearly doesn't put as much into service as it does into sales. There are a lot of appliance stores in Maine. I purchased a range in late December and when it was installed I noticed that it was damaged in three areas but it was not damaged mechanically so I was able to use the range and oven. I contacted Agren immediately and I was told that they would replace the damaged parts. In June the damaged parts were replaced but the new range top was damaged as well and when the technician replaced it he replaced it incorrectly, the technician lost a piece of a metal part and could not find it, later that evening when I tried to turn the stove and oven on there was a small explosion with flames in the back of the oven and the range and the oven was not working. I called Agren and left a message that night, I received a call the next day and said that they would send the technician out again. A few days later the technician came back and found the missing metal piece that he lost, it was stuck behind the inside of the oven and it caught on fire and welded to the back of the oven. He had to order new parts to fix it. I called Agren twice to voice my complaints and notified them that this was unacceptable. I bought a brand new range that was damaged and now I was without a range for a few days and I still did not have an oven that I could use. I was told that they understood my frustration and that I was upset and that they were trying to order the parts faster. I was without my oven for 36 days. This is unacceptable. I bought a brand new range and had to wait for many months for it to be fixed and then I was without a range and oven and I have not been provided any decrease in price or coupons or gifit card or anything. I purchased this range from Agren instead of a big box store so that I would have better service but this is the worst experience that I have ever had. read more

I wish there were a sixth star for this business. My father-in-law recommended Vic's when my wife and I needed a new washer and dryer years ago. Since then, we have bought all of our appliances from Vic's. I n terms of customer service, Vic's is like taking a step back in time; the sales people are friendly, not pushy, they know their product inside and out, and they are happy to spend as much time with you whether you are spending $300 or $3000. Their product lines include models for every budget, from entry-level up through professional. And if you ever have a problem with a product you purchased from them, you can count on fast, friendly service from a clean, polite technician that works for them. Not a subcontractor. I have been lucky enough to stop several of my friends from going to a "Big Box Stores" to buy their appliances, and the report back from them is always "thank goodness you told me about Vic's!" Do yourself and the local economy a favor and at least check in with Vic's the next time you need appliances. You will not be disappointed. read more

After buying a full set of high end appliances for a new house at Agrens 3 years ago, they rarely have time for service calls, and when they do, it turns out they charge a whopping $229! And if they have to look at another appliance that I also bought from them, they charge another $100 on top of the $229. I just got off the phone with Meile. They will come out and adjust my burners for a $95 service call. I also got a sub zero service company to come out and change the water and air filters on our subzero, as well as clean the condenser for $155. Agrens is over the top ridiculous with their pricing and I would NEVER recommend them. read more

We worked with AJ on the replacement of two high end appliances. AJ was fully aware that we were looking to purchase appliances that were comparable to the ones we had currently in our kitchen. As Agren was not able to sell Gaggenau double ovens, he assured us he would find options for the current space. Also we needed to replace a downdraft vent on a Viking, which he said he could find. However, we needed to pay for a service to have an installer come to our home to make sure the appliances would fit. This was an extra charge. Due to the cost of the appliances (over $14,000) we agreed to this extra charge. Saco is a small store and did not have any of the appliances we needed to view, so we relied on AJ's expertise.He apparently did not do any comparison of our current double features and recommended a replacement that is inferior (although costly) to the one we had. We made a BIG MISTAKE relying on him.we did not understand this until the Appliances were installed, with extra charge, and not satisfactorily. Agren refuses to correct problem. Double oven is installed dangerously high, and unable to use top for any baking items of significance.The wall is left unfinished and did not fit space as the new oven has no trim as the one removed. We should have been informed of all differences in writing but we were not. We now understand why AJ insisted on full payment before the oven was ordered. No customer consideration regarding safety or use of appliances they sell. Obviously only interested in making a sale and do not stand behind products incorrectly installed. NEVER USE AGREN IN SACO!! It is not the old VIC's. Don't be confused. Agren in Saco is relying on the Vic's reputation and Agren is essentially a big box store with no expertise. We are also filing a complaint with Viking as the install is dangerous. read more

Five stars! We started our search at Vic's for all of the appliances needed for new construction just to compare prices. Left with a sales receipt and a tentative delivery date! Never even felt the need to go to Sears, the box stores, or anywhere else. We were well taken care of by Ralph, a nice gentleman in his second career following many years as a teacher. After an extensive search on line for the right size appliance for our small laundry area, we ended up at Vic's. Our experience was so positive and flawless. The sales folks are thoroughly knowledgeable and since they don't work on commission, they share their knowledge and experience and opinions freely. We bought a Blomberg stackable washer/dryer. The sales folks were honest, the installation folks efficient and professional. Even with a call back inquiry they are so helpful and willing. Their customer service stands above all others. We will now become loyal Vic's customers and not even consider doing business anywhere else. read more

Very disappointed in this company. We were regulars with Vics Appliance and since Agren's has taken over have found them overpriced with their services and poor quality appliances. Called them to diagnose our washing machine we purchased from them in 2016, cost us $169 to have them come out and tell us it would be $600 to fix. Our machine cost that brand new so we decided not to go through with the repair. While the technician was here he diagnosed a problem with our stove. Told us the company would order the parts and someone would call us set up an appointment to repair. After waiting a month I called them to schedule, they knew about the parts but had not ordered or bother to follow up with us. It was 3 weeks out from there until someone could come to us. They came and did the repair charged us parts then asked for another $169 in service fees. The technician told us he didn't even have record of our purchase of the stove, as though he was doing us a favor fixing it anyway, I explained we purchased it from Vics. Then he said the other technician had lied about the charges called his boss to discuss charges. They gave us a $70 "discount" off the service fee and left. We will be looking for another small local business to support going forward since this company is only worried about their bottom line and not customer satisfaction. read more

These people are terrible to do business with because they do not stand behind their product or their installation work. I purchased a washer and dryer from them, and paid extra for high-quality no-leak stainless steel hoses to connect the water, and paid extra for their delivery and installation. Vic's own people removed the old washer and did all of the installation work. Because of the way the washer sits in the laundry area the back of the machine and the hoses are not normally visible. Weeks later we discovered water under the carpet in an adjoining room. The problem was traced to leak on the back of the washer. That's when we discovered Vic's did not use the higher quality stainless steel hoses we paid extra for. Instead, they used a couple of old rubber hoses they had on their truck. Vic's refused to refund the extra money we paid for the premium hoses even though they are specifically listed and priced on their original sales order. In the process of installation they damaged the connection on the back of the washing machine so nothing will work on it. I called Vic's immediately when the leak was discovered and for six weeks they refused to return my calls. All they will say is that they deny any responsibility for the hoses they used, the damage to the machine, or the water damage to the building from the leak. Even though we paid extra for stainless steel no-leak hoses they claim they don't promise we will get exactly what we ordered and paid for! Further, they claim that even though we paid for installation work to be done by their "appliance professionals" they do not guarantee their workmanship. Very mixed feelings about Vic's. I love to support a local merchant and the salesman was very friendly and appeared very knowledgeable. But was very disappointed in the appliances they sold me and the after service. I renovated 2 kitchens completely and bought two of every kitchen appliance. The ice makers in both freezers made black and yellow ice. Vic's came and said nothing was wrong when it clearly was. They did replace the ice makers but only after pressure from me. Second, neither oven has worked well from the beginning. Gas smell and oven temperature not even close to what you set it at. Vic's came and worked on one oven but didn't really fix the problem. Then when in the middle of Thanksgiving cooking, the handle fell off the oven doors. They finally came to look at second oven when it developed the same problem and came to the conclusion that I needed new ovens. Don't think I would shop here again. read more
