Finally sales manager Catherine called today, said they would take the mattress back and "fix it"! #1 my husband is very ill and facing surgery in the near future and really would not be comfortable in the guest room #2 they take your mattress and fix it? What are you supposed to do whilst they are fixing it? #3 what do you get when you fix a piece of crap? A fixed piece of crap? #3 asked to speak to Catherine's supervisor, she tells me the only person she answers to is the owner Mr. Samaras, and he's not in for a few days. I already went to a REPUTABLE mattress store and bought a purple mattress. My experience has ended up being complicated and frustrating but there have been some bright spots. First, I stopped in and walked the store looking for some options. I picked a bed I really liked and spoke with an associate (Wendy) and a manager (Jay) who walked me through the process of ordering the bed and choosing a mattress. Unfortunately the bed was a few weeks delayed so only the mattress could be delivered on the Monday I'd be moving into my new place. I came back in with my kids so they could check out the twin beds and sofas and we could figure out what will work for them. The staff clearly figured out what we were doing and gave us space (other times various associates have approached me to try to start selling me shit, which I do not like - I prefer to browse and find someone when I am ready). Another day I returned and talked to another manager (Tyler) as I already knew what I wanted to get. He thankfully skipped the sales pitches and organized my order quickly. However he also said something odd - that they do not deliver on Mondays. So I was confused about when my mattress was actually coming. Then I got a phone call from the store asking if I wanted to move up my deliveries so they could be Tuesday (the day after my move). I said great! However, then they also said that the queen size bed I'd ordered was MONTHS away as opposed to weeks. I asked about the bed I remembered being my second choice, they said that one's unavailable too (why they have floor models that aren't available baffles me). They helped me select a similar bed over the phone though. Delivery day comes, the workers come and are very efficient and studious and there are a few communication issues as they didn't speak English well, but the big thing is that they couldn't fit my sofa in the elevator. I called customer service which gave me no options that could help me resolve the issue, and then called the store, and then went to the store in person to choose a different couch. Went right to Tyler and he and another manager (Skylar? Skyler?) worked to replace the item on my order. Later in the day I had second thoughts about my choice and went back to the store and chose a different couch, again thanks to Tyler. Were I to do this again, I'd have declined the fuckin goof proof nonsense, and opted for an outlet mattress instead of the bob-o-pedic one. Unfortunately it really depends on what associate/manager you talk to - some will sell you a bill of goods and others will actually help you.

The item is explicitly marketed and sold by Jordan's as "Leather," and their product page states the manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty covering factory defects. Less than five months into owning it, the surface began peeling extensively. Our household consists of adults only--no children and no pets. Because we work out of the home all day, the loveseat receives only light usage for a few hours in the evening. This is a textbook manufacturing defect: premature delamination, where the top layer lifts and peels away from a fabric backing. Genuine leather does not peel like this. When we first reached out, customer service promised to review the claim and get back to us. They never did. When we called them back, they claimed they had tried to reach us--even though we have zero record of any incoming calls from them. When we finally managed to speak with someone, they claimed the issue was "liquid damage"--an entirely baseless claim, as this furniture has never been exposed to any liquid or chemical whatsoever. Paying for furniture only to have it fail in a few short months is bad enough, but dealing with poor customer service, false claims about missed calls, and absurd excuses to dodge a written 2-year warranty is completely unacceptable.
