Called "Sam" who we purchased the mattress from in Portland to tell him the edges had failed and there was a big hump in the middle. Sam never called back ( waited a month) called again ! Finally sales manager Catherine called today, said they would take the mattress back and "fix it"! #1 my husband is very ill and facing surgery in the near future and really would not be comfortable in the guest room #2 they take your mattress and fix it? What are you supposed to do whilst they are fixing it? #3 what do you get when you fix a piece of crap? A fixed piece of crap? #3 asked to speak to Catherine's supervisor, she tells me the only person she answers to is the owner Mr. Samaras, and he's not in for a few days. I already went to a REPUTABLE mattress store and bought a purple mattress. All I want is Portland Mattress Makers to come and get their product and be honest and at least give me a portion of my money back... ie mattress guaranteed for ten years... give me back eight years back! SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESS!!!! Let's see if Mr Samaras calls me back!!!!!

Joey is very responsive and has been very good to us - when my husband and I renovated and needed several appliances he gave us a great deal and a hassle-free experience from sales and delivery to follow up after the purchase. Some sales people I've worked with have stopped being responsive after the sale was made but not Joey, and for that reason we went right back to him when we needed a washer and dryer the following year. Dale and Bob have both been out for service and I have found that service appointments were very easy to set up, on time, and comprehensive. Both Dale and Bob were a pleasure to work with - they're super friendly, knowledgeable and able to address our issues like true experts. They were great about getting parts ordered, answering questions patiently and just generally going above and beyond to be helpful. We will continue to use Central for all our appliance needs and I recommend them highly!

We purchased two recliners and the Kuka Furniture Apollo Leather Dual Power Loveseat Recliner,…read morewhich was delivered on January 31, 2026. The item is explicitly marketed and sold by Jordan's as "Leather," and their product page states the manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty covering factory defects. Less than five months into owning it, the surface began peeling extensively. Our household consists of adults only--no children and no pets. Because we work out of the home all day, the loveseat receives only light usage for a few hours in the evening. This is a textbook manufacturing defect: premature delamination, where the top layer lifts and peels away from a fabric backing. Genuine leather does not peel like this. When we first reached out, customer service promised to review the claim and get back to us. They never did. When we called them back, they claimed they had tried to reach us--even though we have zero record of any incoming calls from them. When we finally managed to speak with someone, they claimed the issue was "liquid damage"--an entirely baseless claim, as this furniture has never been exposed to any liquid or chemical whatsoever. Paying for furniture only to have it fail in a few short months is bad enough, but dealing with poor customer service, false claims about missed calls, and absurd excuses to dodge a written 2-year warranty is completely unacceptable.
