We purchased two recliners and the Kuka Furniture Apollo Leather Dual Power Loveseat Recliner,…read morewhich was delivered on January 31, 2026. The item is explicitly marketed and sold by Jordan's as "Leather," and their product page states the manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty covering factory defects. Less than five months into owning it, the surface began peeling extensively. Our household consists of adults only--no children and no pets. Because we work out of the home all day, the loveseat receives only light usage for a few hours in the evening. This is a textbook manufacturing defect: premature delamination, where the top layer lifts and peels away from a fabric backing. Genuine leather does not peel like this. When we first reached out, customer service promised to review the claim and get back to us. They never did. When we called them back, they claimed they had tried to reach us--even though we have zero record of any incoming calls from them. When we finally managed to speak with someone, they claimed the issue was "liquid damage"--an entirely baseless claim, as this furniture has never been exposed to any liquid or chemical whatsoever. Paying for furniture only to have it fail in a few short months is bad enough, but dealing with poor customer service, false claims about missed calls, and absurd excuses to dodge a written 2-year warranty is completely unacceptable.

We were told that it was in stock at the warehouse and could be delivered in a week or so. This was an important part of our buying decision. We ended up waiting almost two months for it to show up. We feel like we were lied to about the deliver date to get us to buy the sofa. And to add to the issue, the service manager at the South Portland store (Dan Carcamo) had zero interest in helping us. Then, when the couch FINALLY showed up, it was THE WRONG CONFIGURATION. The long side was opposite to what we ordered. And it showed up with one section having NO LEGS. We were given the option to refuse the delivery or put the couch on the floor without legs and wait for the legs to be delivered "on the next truck from the manufacturer." We had already waited two months for the couch so decided to keep it (even though it was the wrong configuration) and wait for the legs. I called your customer service multiple times and got the run around. FINALLY someone who cared about the fact that we were 3-months from our purchase date and STILL sitting on a legless couch. Stephanie thought to ask the warehouse is they had parts - and they did. On 2/14 - almost 4 MONTHS after we bought the couch, your excellent tech Lou showed up to install the legs. We love the couch but are THOROUGHLY disappointed with the entire process (except for Stephanie and Lou). I will be posting the details of our experience for other potential customers to see. And we will most likely not be buying from your company again." All they had to do was apologize, but they couldn't even do that. We won't be going back.

He was patient, he was engaging, he listened to our concerns and was thoughtful about our budget, he was funny and fun to be around -- he was human. Sometimes working with sales people feels either really icky or really robotic, but this felt like connecting with an old pal (... over beds). We got a great bed at an exceptional deal because they were having some amazing sale where all queens were being sold at the twin prices. We also bought two fancy pillows (which have cooling technology on one side of the pillow!). The store was super clean, it was straightforward to navigate, parking was no problem. Our delivery fee/bed set-up/removal of the old mattress (all of which was *key* for us since we currently live in a tiny flat in the middle of Portland) was QUICK and way cheaper than we were expecting. Two gentleman showed up at 9am on Wednesday morning (two days after our purchase) and were out maybe twenty minutes later; there were no dings or nicks on any of our walls (again: TINY flat, very weirdly shaped), everything was cleaned up too (all the plastic and cardboard, etc.) Absolutely would recommend! My husband and I had been looking for a mattress for a few months, and had been doing research. We had what we wanted narrowed down, and were now looking for the best deal. I went into the Mattress Firm to see what they had. I was greeted immediately and I let the salesman know that I just wanted to know what brands they sold and whether they sold platform beds. He asked me what type of mattress I was looking for, and I said firm, since I have back problems, and I find that a firm mattress is more comfortable. The salesman proceeded to tell me that a firm mattress wasn't necessary to help my back, that we were meant to sleep on our backs, and only an adjustable bed would help me sleep. Ummm I'm old enough (at least twice the age of this salesman) to know how to sleep. I told him that he had already answered my questions, that I was on my way somewhere and thanked him. He literally begged me ("PLEASE, just do it for me, so I can show you how your sleep can be improved") to lie down on one of the beds, and began raising the head and feet, asking me - "now, isn't that comfortable??!" I had had enough and rolled myself out of the bed and tried making my way out the door as he continued to try to sell me a bed. I felt insulted, and that my time was being wasted by someone who simply wanted a commission on a higher priced item rather than providing the customer service I was seeking. We have had to buy minimal furniture as most of what we had we got as single folks and it is still in good, usable condition so we are not often in a place where we need to go pick out furniture or beds or anything of the sort. Don't get me wrong, if I had the money, my whole house would be done over. When you walk in, the place is set up as a maze, as you would expect, to wind you around as many furnishing offers as they can get you near. A sales person will promptly join you on this journey and be your guide. I give credit to our sales person who asked what we wanted, we said a bed, he took us there, gave us enough info and asked just enough questions to get us to the right area and let us lay down and roll around on the beds while he stood to the side and let us figure out what we wanted. MUCH APPRECIATED. We ended up pointing out the bed we wanted, he took us to the desk where a nice lady rang us up, we paid, and we choose to pick the bed up ourselves. We got a call two days later that our bed was there and off we went to grab it. I was slightly put off by the guy who said "Are we expecting you?" when we walked up to say we had called to pick up our bed. To me, nicer and friendlier words could have been used, maybe I am nit picking, but we did say we had called. At any rate, we drove to the load dock, the guys helped slide the bed on top of my truck, we strapped it down and off we went. The experience was pretty painless, but also not stellar or stand out. I can't say much about the prices, we didn't comparison shop. We had decided that morning that the bed we had needed to go and we happen to drive by this place and they were having a mattress sale and in we went.
