By 2:10pm I called the office since there had been no call or update. I was told the tech was out on another hi that had taken longer than expected and he should be able to get to my home "soon." I expressed my dismay at the fact I had not had any communication from the tech. I also asked how long the service would take once the tech did arrive. I was told it would take about 90 minutes. I had already waited all day and now I was expected to spend another 90-120 minutes waiting for the tech to arrive and perform the service!! I found this unacceptable! I said i would need to reschedule but would need a morning appointment time. I was told they could come the next day, but, once again, I would have to be available between 8:00am and 2:00pm!! No way was I going to devote another day of waiting and wondering if the tech would appear!! I used AC PLUS in the past and was very satisfied with their service. Unfortunately their customer service has declined since I last used them and they are not as reliable as they once were.

It was a bit frustrating bc he said it'd take 2 days but then 2 days came and he said it'd be done tomorrow and then the next day he said okay, tomorrow for sure. Could be because of the student helping him but it doesn't matter anymore. I appreciate a business that teaches new generations and that does everything properly and with care. So, dreading trying to find someone on such short notice AND on a holiday weekend, I was ready to just spend this blazing hot weekend outside in the pool. I went on Yelp and sent out feelers as to when I could get my unit repaired. Lo and behold, Omar from Desert Air and Heating got back to me within 10 minutes and said he could come to my home in 2 hours!! At first I was skeptical, having only 1 review on Yelp. I went to Google and there were 11 reviews. ALL OF THEM ARE RIGHT ON! First, Omar kept in touch with me as to when he was on his way. He was here at the ETA with his son Joe as a helper. He immediately got on the roof and spent 15-20 min diagnosing the problem. He came down, we offered both of them cold water:), and showed us photos of our unit and all the readouts they took as the unit was running. He told us exactly what the problems were and what he needed to do to fix our unit. More amazingly, he had all the parts on his truck!! The entire visit took about 2 hours on this sweltering day, where the roof was easily over 120°! Omar is such a nice man, along with his helper Joe. He's well spoken, describes exactly what and how he diagnosed the problem, and explained why and what we can do to maintain our system. We are definitely having him do our twice a year maintenance. I highly recommend Desert Air and Heating for your HVAC needs, especially for Omar, who made us feel comfortable and relaxed during our problem. Thanks Omar and Joe!

Within four hours, Marlon showed up and had the necessary part on his truck to get me back online for which I am eternally grateful. However, he brought back down from the roof, pictures of rust, oil leaks and a few burned-out resistors along with detailed explanations of where things were headed with likely steep replacemet/repair costs in the future. Not only so, but the refrigerant in my a/c unit was no longer a legal replacement in California, should leaks occur there. The motor bearings were becoming noisily worn as well. From the very first Saturday contact with a call from James within 10 minutes of my YELP request, to the field visit from Marlon on the same day, to the installatin of a brand new heat pump system only two days later on Monday by two guys up on the roof enduring the at-least 106-degree brutal temperatures, and the skillful crane operator who clearly knew what he was doing, the professionalism, great care and willingness to get it all done right was seamless and unwavering. The same to be said of the quick, no-hassle financing initiated in the office to get things rolling for me. Without flinching, I can highly recommend AACE'S.

We had contacted them because our 5 year old HVAC system, that was installed by one of their competitors, stopped blowing cold air. Unfortunately, 5 years ago we made the mistake of going with someone else for our HVAC system. So we first called that competitor to see what they could do for us but instead of visiting us as a repairman, it felt more like they came in as a salesman. They used high pressure tactics on my husband and I. We were made to feel like we didn't have much of an option other than to purchase a new AC unit that was twice the price that Air Repair HVAC provided us with. It turns out that their competitor was also charging us more than double for the biannual maintenance check than Air Repair HVAC charges. So, long story short, if you are stuck between going with Air Repair HVAC or AC Plus......CHOOSE AIR REPAIR HVAC!!! They've got my highest recommendation.
