Wow! If you want a tax robot to do your taxes this is your place! Me personally I would appreciate good communication, maybe with at least some Aloha and any kind of cordial personal relationship with the decision maker at the company. If you can get by Todd's 5 front line office help you might be able to set up an appointment a month away to just speak to Todd. Sure he's a brilliant guy and a very likeable person but he has NO grasp of kama'aina Aloha or genuine caring customer service. He has too many clients and not enough time and in the end doesn't care about you; you're just a number. He is a great tax guy, but don't expect a friend or ANY special courtesy other than what a tax robot from Pluto would provide. This guy has his undies in a bundle and his stiff, front-line staffers well trained in phone tactics...but don't worry he wears a mask and surfs! Take a number and answer correctly over here or NO Service for you!!! I'm looking for a tax person I can really communicate with and have taken my business elsewhere. Actually, he kicked me out of his elite tax club for insubordination, (generally a punishable offense in hierarchical organizations such as the armed forces, which depend on people lower in the chain of command obeying orders). Just wait a couple years with the TSO or until you really want to talk with Todd. I'm sorry if I could leave zero stars I would. I just called this tax preparer to see if my fiancé and I could get our taxes done for 2022. She said the tax preparer only does it digitally nothing in person so I would have to scan documents over and she would review them do the taxes and then send them to us to sign. What a humbug!!! I'm sorry to get my taxes done. I need to at least have a face-to-face conversation with explanation on what needs to be done and what is going to be done. Too bad. So sad. I had sold some investments this year and made some errors after filing through TurboTax. When I tried to amend my return, TurboTax tried convincing me that I owed over $7,000 in taxes!! Very stressful and at a loss what to do. I found Tax Services Oahu and met with Tod personally at his office and he was very professional and reassuring and quickly made my worries disappear. He helped me complete my amended return and track the status and made me feel totally at ease with the whole process. Best of all, he got me a $61 refund as opposed to the $7,000 TurboTax tried getting me to pay!! This is an excellent company. They respond in a timely manner to the initial quote request and emails. If you are unable to turn in your tax documents in person, they offer a secure online portal to upload docs. Drop off does not take too much time either and they let you know if you need to bring any other documentations to your final signing session. I liked that Todd took the time to ask questions and look for more deductions to add and he also explained why he was choosing to do the deductions one way vs another. They were able to fit us late in the day due to schedule conflicts. We were in and out of there in about an hour and a half. Tod just saved us! We checked turbo tax before we headed here and almost had to pay $2000 more! Tod is really friendly and extremely helpful. He helped us save on our taxes on things we didn't even know were deductible. My taxes are pretty hard because I'm self employed, but he was able to go through it pretty fast.
