I tend to go to the same nail techs and they respect my preference. They offer lots of nail services and if one tech is not as good on a particular technique, they will get one who can, so that you're satisfied. Decided to give Taurus a try and I'm so glad I did! The technicians were friendly and really took their time on both my pedicure and dip manicure and I'm very happy with the results. They re-opened under the "Taurus" name in May with brand new decor and equipment after a fire hit their business and forced them to rebuild and remodel. I'll definitely be back again! Tips: - Make an appointment. They take walk-ins but it definitely got busy (as most nail salons do on Saturday afternoons!) - Plan to be there for a while. This is not a "nail machine" like some places. The two technicians I had really took their time to provide great service. It took just shy of two hours for my pedicure and dip manicure - Allow for a bit of extra time to find parking. The quality of service is terrible and nails do not last. I've been there twice and both times no chip polish on my gel overlay chipped within 3 days. It's been 10 days now from my initial service and my nails look horrible. For the price my nails should last at least 2 full weeks before getting another fill in. So this was my first time using this salon currently searching for a good place. It's been a while but I'm not very pleased. When I used to get my nails done they of course showed the growth at the bottom but they never popped of. These nails started popping of which can break my real nail, they say it's normal so I just have to come in and get a new set. I teach so I'm off for the holidays meaning I'm not doing nearly as much so for them to be popping off and the polish to be peeling so bad is terrible. I think it's time to try the next place. They where ok for a last minute walk in but their is immediate exposed nail. Lasted maybe a week good. read more

I went in at 1:38 for a standard no-chip manicure (with my real short nails) , had to wait like 25 minutes to get seated. Then after being seated a lady starts prepping my nails taking her sweet time. Only to find out that she couldn't do my nails because i said I wanted a design (which was just three little hearts) so I had to wait for the ONE nail designer they had to be freed up who was also taking his sweet time and ironically doing another woman's very basic nails . So by this time it's 3:00 my nails are still bare... Mind you I was very polite and hadn't said a word to anyone yet. The one nail designer finally gets to me and he rushes through my nails, paints my hearts the wrong way and by the time I'm done, I'm left with OK nails... yeah if you have plans the same day please don't go here they take foreverrrrr!!! read more
