Everytime she does my lashes my own lashes come out due to poor application. I only when back again after the first time it happened cause I assumed I removed them wrong when it's her. Sh puts them way to close to my lid , it's super itchy and the process is horrible she stretches your eye open to far to attach the lash nearly to your lid. Before you read this review, let me help you identify the nail tech in question. Her name is "Bella." And if Bella magically switches to a new American name next week, don't worry, the description won't change. She's about 5'0", wears glasses, and always giggling. Her lips are so dry they look like they're going through a drought advisory, cracked like a summer sidewalk. She wears glasses. And when she smiles? Let's just say it looks like she's got 82 teeth in there and they're all doing throwing up GD, BD, and the Moes at the same time. Just so there's no confusion about who I'm talking about. Now, on to the review... I'm writing this because I genuinely don't want anyone else to go through what I just experienced at "Classy Nails." I've been coming to this shop for a while. I usually see John, I tip well, and I always treat everyone with respect. I've never had an issue before, which makes this even more disappointing. This time, the person who did my nails rushed through the entire service. You can tell when someone is taking their time and when they just want you out of the chair. Because the nails were rushed and poorly done, one of them literally broke in half when I scratched my leg. Not slammed in a door. Not hit on a counter. I scratched my leg. That's it. When I went back to the shop, I was in pain but I was not bleeding. I calmly told the lady to please clip the broken nail off first and then soak it. Instead of listening, she took the drill to it. She drilled directly into the damaged nail until it started bleeding. That's when things went from bad to traumatic. After she caused it to bleed, she had the nerve to tell me I needed to go to the emergency room to have it removed. She kept insisting I must have hit it on something. I did not. They kept trying to gaslight me into believing this was somehow my fault. It wasn't. The nail was rushed and weak from the start. What made it worse? She was laughing. I was sitting there in pain, bleeding, being told I needed to go to the ER, and she was laughing. What is funny about that? How is someone's injury amusing? On top of that, she messed up my big toe during the previous visit and turned the nail yellow. So now I have to see a doctor about my finger and my toe. This is beyond unacceptable. After all of that, she still asked me to pay when I had no finished nails and was being told to go to the emergency room. So I'm supposed to pay you and then pay hospital bills too? Absolutely not. I left $20 on the table just for removing the remaining nails (which is a $12 service) and walked out. She was still laughing. I chose not to argue or disrespect anyone in the shop. I kept my composure. But I will never return. It's really upsetting because as customers, we show up consistently. We spend our money. We tip generously. We're polite. And situations like this show that some businesses truly do not care about our well-being. They continue putting product on already weakened nails, rush services, and then blame clients when something goes wrong. Meanwhile, we're left with damaged nail beds and medical bills. Please be careful where you spend your money. No manicure or pedicure is worth being injured, dismissed, and laughed at. I'm beyond disappointed, and honestly, hurt by this experience. Do NOT--repeat, do NOT--waste your money here! I get my nails done regularly and just moved back to this area after two years, so I've been searching for a new go-to salon. I tried this place on a whim because it was the only one I hadn't tried--and I seriously regret it. I asked for a dip overlay, but the technician clearly didn't know what she was doing. The overlay was so thick you couldn't even see the shape of my nails. Within one week a nail broke. I had it fixed at another salon, and by the following week three more nails had snapped. I've been getting my nails done for years and have never had them fall apart like this. Sixty dollars down the drain and in this economy, that's unacceptable. This is a place that you wouldn't be satisfied with unless you see Angie or Chi Chi for nails/eyebrow/eyelash. I've had multiple different people give pedicures and they have all been all right. The manager tends to be very rude with new customers and I don't ever speak to him because I've been known to walk out with horrible greeters. I usually call ahead and then I bypass any problem and just go see chi chi or Angie. This by far was the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I live in the neighborhood and I will NEVER return. I requested a basic pedicure. The nail technician constantly kept messing up my nails. In an effort to try to fix the polish he kept smearing the polish on my other toes. He literally painted my nails 3 times. I was extremely patient. I never complained about the inconvenience. Finally out of frustration he asked if I mind getting a no chip polish. I said sure because I was tired and he was frustrated. By Saturday morning 2 nails had already chipped. After spending all of that money to have nice nails for my vacation, I went with chipped shabby nails. When I returned from vacation, I went to the salon and they redid the 2 nails that were chipped. I have been here 3 times and I will continue to come. I have always had pedicures done. The pedicure room is very nicely decorated with nice blue calming lights around the ceiling area. The nail area is well designed and their polish selection is large as any other shop. I love the lighting in this salon. When getting a pedicure done they lower the lights and atmosphere is very calming. Eyebrow stations are nice and clean. Nothing messy. Here the only caveat...because English is not their first language communication can be very difficult. But a clear understanding can be meet with clear direction even using the menu services which the provide. Which leads me lastly to their menu selection. I over the patience they show her as this was the first time she had her feet filed and buffed. She has petal paralysis and they adapted so she could put her feet in the tub. I wish I could give them negative stars. How do I get my money back?? Worse manicure I've ever received. My polish started peeling off about two hours after I left the salon. Four hours later, I only had one finger nail painted. Everything else had peeled off. I should have known what to expect when the technician did not remove my previous polish, rather he buffed it out. I don't know if this is the way it's done at some places however in all the years I've been getting my nails done, this was the first time that was done. I'm already not a fan of buffing my nails as it leaves them weaker and I'm pretty sure I mentioned it to him but he kept going. As for the rest of the experience, it was neither here nor there. I just feel when you work in certain areas you understand and cater certain areas and not be rude, nasty aggressive and look at you like you're dumb when you ask a question and if you don't understand English have somebody to translate what you need instead of looking at you like you're crazy or speak to you short with aggression when you ask a question and when I say no tips, sometimes people can't afford to tip sometimes, they're still paying for your service and they probably really need it for graduation, etc. I'm a tipper, but if I'm on a budget and I can't afford to give you $7 or 10 and five is only in my budget it's still a tip and when I say certain areas I just mean you go in certain areas for certain quality and quality of service quality of comfort, quality of peace. If you had 2 bad customers at the beginning of the week it doesn't mean all of your customers are rude and bad. Customer service is key treating customers with the level of respect is key, accommodating someone who's paying is key don't try to overcharge the service at the end of a set price because you didn't get the tip you expect. read more

I visited Classy Nails on 91st & Western this afternoon looking to settle on a 'backup' place for a pedicure. I know that these types of places can be a 'hit' for some and a major 'miss' for others. It always depends upon what appeases you as an individual. This nail shop was a total waste of time and money. When I entered into the establishment, I was immediately impressed by the aesthetics of the place. It looked like an exotic spa - it really appealed to me. I was then immediately greeted by a young man who asked which service did I want and I told him a pedicure. He asked me to write my name on the sign in sheet and circle which service that I was receiving. I was a little annoyed at the sign that said, if you're using a debit/credit card, $1.00 will be added to your total. Really? Why? I didn't understand this logic. After that he told me to go pick my nail polish color which there was a large collection of OPI nail colors on the back wall. While the selection was large, they did not have any of the new metallic colors nor the 14K gold color that I was looking for so, I settled on a pink color. While I was selecting my color, I was then approached by a young lady who told me that she was doing my pedicure and she escorted me to the back, an area for pedicures. Once I was seated in the chair, the pedicurist gave me a tri-fold brochure and asked me to review the services and select which type of pedicure that I wanted. Well, I was impressed because they offered a wide range of pedicures and manicures. Pedicures ranged from $25 to $60. Since I wanted to enjoy the ambiance, I decided to treat myself and get a Tangerine Dream pedicure ($45). The Tangerine Dream was described as "this moisture packed treatment includes a citrus antioxidant exfoliant with natural sugar and macadamia nut oil to help condition and retain the skin's moisture. A peach bellini paraffin treatment will penetrate for softer, more youthful radiance. A milk and honey massage completes this treat." I began to be immediately disappointed with the pedicure process when after she pushed back my cuticles and scraped away a little excess skin, she didn't cut away any of the old cuticle matter. Now, I know that I take very good care of my feet however; I know that I need extensive cuticle care because if not, I will easily get hangnails. Well, she still didn't remove the dried cuticles even after I asked her to pay attention to my cuticles. She said that they were fine well, I disagree. She then went on to scrub and massage my legs. Not once did she scrub my feet. Now she did scrape my feet with that cheese grater but she didn't put any of the exotic scrub on my feet. Only on my legs. Now if you look at my hairless and shiny legs, you can tell that they don't need any scrubbing or exfoliating. Massaging yes; scrubbing no. The pedicure was an epic fail because at the end she couldn't even apply polish properly. I let her know emphatically that I was disappointed and pointed out her errors and asked that she correct them. Polish was on my skin, and half of a few of my toenails one side of my toenail on my baby toe wasn't polished. I really became annoyed once again when she presented me with my ticket and reminded me of the $1.00 being added to my total. After paying my tab, I was too annoyed to even stay for my nails to get dried. Then, while walking out, I made contact with the guy at the front desk and he didn't utter one word. No thank you for coming, have a nice day, absolutely nothing. I will not visit this establishment ever again - the pedicure I received was not worth $45.00. I won't come back for the following reasons. 1. The pedicurist inability to clean up cuticles efficiently. 2. The pedicurist inability to polish nails. 3. Minimum attention to my feet, the massaging and scrubbing was done on my legs and not my feet. I came in for a pedicure - not a leg massage. 4. Again, my feet were not scrubbed! If you would like a absolutely great pedicure with technicians fully trained and who genuinely care about you, please send me a message and I have a great recommendation. I have no complaints about the pedicures. Absolutely great choice for the massages, scrubs options, polish, and chairs. I had an urgent situation and came here for a gel set coffin style. I asked two different techs to go shorter and wider with the tips and file. I have wider nail beds as is. I have polish on my cuticles, the tips aren't lined up with my nail, bubbles in the polish, and crooked nails. The tech completely ignored me. The manager offered for a third tech to fix them but I was already short on time. Don't get me wrong, 40 is cheap for a full set. But hear out the customer!! read more

I NEVER leave reviews but after this experience I felt it was necessary. I have been patronizing this shop for over 7 years (since they were at their previous location). I have never complained and was always friendly, even when I wasn't in love with my service. On last Friday, I went into the shop to get my eyebrows waxed. For years I have only allowed Angie (the owner) or GIGi to do my eyebrows. No one else. When I walk in Angie comes to the front to tell me GiGi is busy so I must wait, an HOUR. She then walks off. I asked her if she can do them for me and she says No, you wait for GiGi. I was beyond confused because she had just done them a few weeks prior. I thought maybe she had a container. NO! She goes to the back and sit down talking with other techs. I proceed to follow her and ask her why she couldn't do them. She says "No. I don't touch your eyebrows". I very calmly asked her why, she replied "I don't touch your eyebrows. I don't feel like it". She talked to me with a very nasty attitude and I still have no clue why she treated me this way. Still I didn't react negatively, I simply walked off and left. I then called just to see if she could explain. However, they told me she had a customer and she never returned my call. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years with this establishment. I am beyond surprised at how she treated me. She has done my nails and eyebrows for my wedding and other events. I have never once complained or given them a hard time. I've watched them be cursed out by others and have to call the police. I've even talked with her about it afterwards. I will never step foot back into this place after this experience. It's really sad because they have some really nice techs who does great work. This had to be one of the worse customer service experience I have had recently. I went to classy nails on western and 91st yesterday to get my eyebrows tinted. I know they are awfully busy so I get there before they open. I'm standing in line in the very very hot sun waiting for the store to open. At 9:30am (opening time) it doesn't open. Someone looked out the window and does not open the door. Why would you treat all your customer like that? It's about ten to twelve Black women in the line in the hot sun and you don't think enough of the to let them in out of the hot sun. No you don't. Why would I think you do? Around 9:40am the doors open. I'm #2 and I walk up to the counter and say I want my eyebrows tinted. The man says go in room. I look at him and he says it again. What room? He doesn't show me! So I walk to the back and figure it out. About 10-15 mins later he tells me the eyebrow lady will probably be there in about 30-45mins. Why the heck didn't you tell me that at the desk? If I could give zero stars I would for a few simple reasons. There are only a few people in the shop qualified to do all services and therefore it is very hard to get a session with the person you like or that is good. No disrespect but some of the tech's rush so much that you either have problems with chipping or simply bad looking nails. Often the colors are no longer available. They do not take reservations which leads to my number one complaint - the manager is the worst!! He is rude, disrespectful and dishonest. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years and I come every two weeks. I'm not looking for special treatment but just be honest. If a customer asks what the wait time is don't lie to them. No way to treat a loyal customer . I've been to Classy Nails many times. I've celebrated birthdays there, girls night out and just me time at the beautiful establishment. I was very disappointed with the recent customer service I received. I treated myself to a pedicure and manicure (pedi/mani). After sitting for a long period of time (over 20 minutes under the fan) my manicurist tested my nails and said they were dry, they were not. A couple of them messed up and she had to reapply the polish. Please note;during the initial application thinner was added to the polish. The first coat on my nails showed up transparent. After a couple of coats it looked better. While doing the messed up nails over I noticed a small bubble on my thumb but I didn't bring attention to it nor did the manicurist. I left after making sure my nails were completely dry (over twenty minutes again)! Later that day I noticed my polish chipping. The bubble on my thumb was now an unpolished area. Polish on my other nails came off as well. My nails did not look like a fresh manicure. My first thought was to do my nails over myself and not bother going back. I decided to go back to Classy Nails the next day. I was told that I would have to pay to have my nails redone.($5.00 instead of $10.00) I explained to the manager I didn't think I should have to pay. She felt I had been washing dishes,cleaning with bleach and or using other harsh chemicals on my manicured nails. I assured her while I understood why she would say that, I had not mismanaged my manicure. My thought was the polish was old. She did not want to hear my opinion. She responded "it's no way all of your nails would look like they do unless you used bleach or something on them". I explained to her I was mindful of my manicured nails. She also explained a basic manicure does not last long. Certainly it should last more than one day I told her. Reluctantly I paid for a polish change ( I was charged half price) . I felt I should not of been charged a single penny! I got a basic polish change choosing a different brand. I'm including pictures of my first manicure after day one and my second manicure after three days. My point is the same technique was used but a different brand of polish. The owner should of looked at the polish that was initially used to make sure it was ok to continue using on customers. Instead it was placed back on the shelf for future use. They first suggested that she wash it off and when that did not work they began to rub her fingertip roughly with some product in which it still did not come off and when I challenged them to acknowledge that the nail tech who calls himself Dan did a poor job..the Manager first stated that it was the choice of color she choose for dipping polish and when I stated that she had selected that color before he changed it to that it was the brand in which I responded that regardless this product was supplied by them and they should remove it from utilization.
