I'm so pissed I came here. I ran in because I had some time to kill before catching a flight to go home. The lady doing my nails seemed new and unsure of herself. She kept getting polish on my skin and needing to wipe it off. When she was almost finished, she went to buff a couple of my nails and it was still wet so got ruined. She "fixed" them, but now, a couple of hours later, they are all messed up from doing things like eating and washing my hands. Chunks of polish came off and there is tacky semi-wet polish that has rubbed into my skin. Now I'm out $40 and can't go back because I'm sitting on a plane. read more

Today I visited D-Luxe Nails, and I'm extremely disappointed with my entire experience. I came in with a positive attitude and an open mind, excited to receive the services I requested. However, right from the start, things went downhill. I was told someone would assist me shortly, but as I waited, it became clear that no one was willing to take me for either my pedicure or nail service. After waiting longer than expected, I eventually had to ask multiple times--essentially beg--just to be helped. When I was finally taken, the service felt rushed and disorganized. The technician who was originally supposed to take care of me claimed he had something to do and couldn't provide my service. However, while I was getting my toes done, I watched him take two other customers after me, which made it obvious that he simply chose not to assist me. As a first-time customer, this was incredibly discouraging and unprofessional. To make matters worse, at the end of my appointment, I was presented with legal terms and conditions that I was required to sign in order to check out. These were never disclosed before the service began, which felt very misleading and inappropriate. I made it clear that I did not agree to those terms. This practice is illegal in the state of Illinois. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing from beginning to end. Called ahead to see if they did walk-ins and they did! They did a great job with my nails. I asked for a no chip on with a gorgeous yet simple red color I also had my gel nails removed. The cost was 50 bucks without tip which was decent! The nail techs that were there were very professional and welcoming! I highly recommend. read more

My nail tech, Q, did an amazing job making my nails look perfect! I asked for the magnetic cat eye polish but with hearts instead for valentines & the techs went above and beyond to make it work. She made sure each heart was shaped correctly and redid it, if needed. The acrylic length, shape, and smoothness is perfect too. I can't find one flaw!! Not really a fan of this place. They did take me as a walk-in. I waited to be seated. I was sat down and made me about 10-15 minutes of my arrival. I went with no chip polish but I don't know what this quality of the polish now. Even when you get dipped the polishes chipping in less than a week or maybe a week and a half, It does not have that long durable shelf life anymore. Maybe because of the pandemic and rising cost their diluting it or stretching it. I don't know what they're doing, but I know that the nail polish shouldn't last at least 2 weeks and it does not now and I was pissed when I looked down to notice the polish chipping and such an early stage in a game read more

I made an appointment to get a French manicure done. Lina did an EXCEPTIONAL job. She took her time to give me THE BEST manicure I have ever had (and for me the most important thing is not that the nails look pretty but that my cuticles are cleaned up, given a lot of attention and taken care of) all while having some great conversation. They've done it again! Holly did my nails again and I loved how they turned out! The only issue I have is that some of the white base she used is visible on the edges of the nails. This is my 2nd time to this salon and it was even better than the first. I initially came for my birthday a few weeks ago as a walk in and they were very busy. They made an appt for me to come back in an hour which was fine. I had a full set dip mani (done by Emily) and pedi done by someone else. They both did a great job. What made me search and find this salon was the rave reviews I read here on Yelp about a tech named Holly and I was disappointed I didn't get her for my first visit, but I enjoyed my service nonetheless. But when I left last time I was told that it's best to make an appt in advance to not have to wait so I did this go round. I personally asked for Holly when I called and had a 5p appt for today that I made last week. I had to wait half an hour because every tech was busy but Holly apologized for the inconvenience. She did my mani and pedi and was definitely worth the wait. I told her about how I read about her great work online and it made her nervous which was so cute! I got a pedicure and no chip manicure. Emily, worked on me. She is very nice and took her time. I couldn't decide on the color, she was so kind to try both on me. I did have to wait a while but I was just a walk in so I understand. I will be returning soon. They have lasted me 4 weeks and don't look bad just out grown. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Not too many places open on Sundays. Called ahead to ask about wait time and I was told to come, no wait. I arrived and in fact, I was seated right away. Two gentlemen did my mani/pedi. They were both great and took the time to do an excellent job on my nails. They use a clean set of mani/pedi tools with each customer (extremely important!), they have a large selection of nail polishes, the place is super clean and tidy, they have water bottles for their clients (perk!), even the restroom is super clean! My mani/pedi took 1.5 hours and paid $57. The place is located on a small strip mall so parking is plenty. I will be sure to come again. read more

This pedicure was yesterday and it's already looking shabby, and what the heck shape is that? This, my friends, is what happens when cuticles are not pushed down properly, dead skin isn't scrubbed off, and nails are not shaped right. I was a little distracted after she scrubbed the bottom of my big toes raw with a weird yellow block, (I flinched and pulled back and said ow) while not getting the side and tips so they're still crunchy, so I didn't notice the freaky shape of the nail and the polish around it. I suspect she was new, bless her heart; she accidentally flooded half the place so had to spend 15 minutes helping clean than up while I sat with my feet in cold water. I was nice about it; stuff happens. But then I feel like she rushed my left foot and this is the result. Also, barely a massage; she didn't even take my feet off the bench to put the watery lotion on. Add to that the worn out massage chair with all the stuffing worn out so I was sitting on a hard lump in the middle. Very uncomfortable for over an hour with the cleanup delay. They did get me in same day and honored the appointment I made on time so there's that. And it was only $22 on Monday. Disappointing first visit. Too many other places around to try again. I got a pedicure and a full set, and was not rushed throughout the process like I have been at other locations. The workers really take their time to give a good service with careful detail and plucking. As for my nails, I showed the technician a picture of what I wanted for reference and they looked identical!! The spa chairs for pedicures are nice because they have a stand that you can place your calf on so that your heels and soles of your feet are done without you or them having to hold up your leg. I have been 3xs...Great work but not everyone there has the best attitude or customer service

Okay. Came here with my daughters because this place was so highly rated. Now, granted, I am EXTREMELY particular when it comes to my nails. But for a pedi and ombre no chip, generally a $100-ish endeavor, dam right I'm particular. Add the girls, and we're dropping over $200. The welcome was...lukewarm. The woman I assume was the manager was cool at best. Did not take kindly to direction or instruction. Expressed a bit of frustration at the fact that I just brought 3 customers to the establishment. How dare I overwhelm them with work? Not a great first impression. Kenny was my tech. Pedicure was ... adequate but rushed. Trimming was just sufficient, but definitely not thorough. Foot massage was 3 minutes, tops. Expressed some frustration at my ombre french request for my hands (which the "manager" insisted could only be done with gel powder; ridiculously untrue. I've given MYSELF an ombre french no-chip at home). Seemed so rushed and put-upon, I downscaled to a mani with clear polish and received the barest minimum while being charged for a full mani. As I type, there's cuticles and skin not only still there, but still apparent. There's bubbles in the clear polish. The nails are not evenly shaped. Basically, I paid $20 to have someone rub lotion on my hands. Fail. Now, the techs Lina and Tony are artists. Did my older girl's full set with a design, and it's internet post ready. Lina also did the artwork for my younger girl's full set with equal aplomb. Very well done. HOWEVER, my younger one's full set was done by the "manager." The set was ill-fitted, poorly sized. And when instructed as to the length to cut them, she got so triggered I almost just let it go. ALMOST. For over $200 of nails? NOPE. You can be triggered all you want; cut those nails like I tell you. The end result is ... mediocre. But she's 13, so it'll pass. As for me, I think this is it for "nail shops." You get what you pay for, I guess, so I'll be going to Tricoci or some such and get a highly trained tech who is interested in more than getting me in and out. I want HIGH END, and it's clear I ain't getting it at any of these places. If you're not too particular, by all means try DLuxe. Just ask for Lina or Tony. *Note: The tech names were pulled from the receipt. Introductions are not happening in this joint, I guess. After carefully looking at the receipt, I also realize that they overcharged me by AT LEAST $10. Dam shame to nickel-n-dime a customer like me who's a huge tipper, a loyal customer, and a big spender. Dam shame.
