Really, REALLY impressed by the lunch buffet! I've been to Curries and Mahal as well, and I think this one takes the #1 spot for me. The food was hot and well flavored, and I think there were plenty of options for the buffet (it would be nice if they had a lamb/goat option though). The naan was brought out fresh for us, and a staff member came out frequently to re-fill water. The cost was ~$12 with tax, which is totally reasonable for what you get. The ambiance is quiet with soft piano cover music in the background. Enough tables for a group lunch, but I suggest coming towards opening, as it started to fill up as we were leaving. read more

Food was, as promised, tasty, and great value for the money. The staff was mostly hands-off but not unfriendly. However, the food took super long to come out even though we were the only people dining in (about 8 pm on Sunday) and it looked like they didn't have too many takeout orders, and no one was communicative with us while we were waiting. I had the Daal Maharani ($10) and an Onion Naan ($4.50). The daal was flavourful, but less spicy than I was expecting from the medium spice level that I ordered - I would have described it as medium-mild at most. The bowl that the entrees come in looked small at first, but this was deceptive - I found mine to be pretty filling and so did the other person I dined with who got an entree. I thought their rice was good also (seasoned with jeera/cumin seeds). The naan was very tasty! The onion was very fresh and fragrant, and they got it flaky and crisp without making it dry. I did think it was too buttery, I just expect a light brush of butter or ghee on naan, but they used enough for it to pool on top in places. We were just passing through town on a trip, and it wasn't outstanding enough that I'd come back if I was passing through again, but it hit the spot in the moment. Came here for lunch on a Saturday and here's a few observations... - It was around 1PM in the afternoon and it looked like they were either short staffed or not prepared. There were tables that hadn't been cleared which made the place look unappealing if You're asked to sit next to a pile of dirty plates. Several people from delivery services were waiting for food and the entire process seemed chaotic - No one bothered to ask us for the menu so had to get up and ask for it. The front desk was in and out of the kitchen and so the service was sub-par - We ordered a few appetizers from the menu and also did the lunch buffet which was $16.50 - The appetizers came quickly and were ok. We had ordered Onion Naan and Raita along with Samosas, which were hot and decent in taste - The buffet items were running low but they replenished some items and brought in fresh Naan which had run out. Tandoori chicken was ok, butter chicken was not tasty and felt like it was taken out of a box due to lack of flavor, raita was too watery, chutneys (mint and tamarind) were tasty - It was a little weird trying to navigate how to order and what to wait for in the buffet selection. The appetizer and desserts did not look appealing. They had bottles of water which we could take to our tables.. Samosas were a nice size, crisp, very hot and freshly made with a spicy green cilantro chutney and a sweet brown sauce, all combined for a yummy experience to start off dinner. We also had Tandoori Chicken, Paneer, and Lamb Vindaloo accompanied by garlic and aloo naan. All the entrees had a satisfying heat and aloo naan was stuffed with soft and flavorful potato filling. Not sure what the positive reviews are about. I'm guessing it's from people who aren't familiar with Indian Food. I'm a big fan of Chicken Tikka Masala. I finally gave this place a try after passing it by so many times, and boy do I regret that decision. I purchased the Tikka Masala and chose fish instead of chicken. For an extra 2.60 I got two or three tiny pieces of mushy cheap fish. If you're going to use the cheapest, lowest quality fish you can find in the freezer at Walmart why not offer more than a few pieces? Considering how nasty the fish was I guess it was a good thing the quantity was limited. The actual masala sauce was just as bad. There was ZERO heat and almost no flavor. My wife and stepson literally eat here every Sunday without fail unless they're closed. My wife always gets the tandoori chicken and my stepson always gets the butter chicken they claim it's best in Everett. We tried to order from them on a particularly nasty weather day and not only did they deliver our food. We're wondering if there are two different cooks because the quality of food seemed to turn into a roulette over the last couple months. Sometimes the food would be great like it always has been, sometimes the food would taste off. The last time we ordered the chicken was undercooked and we were concerned about getting food poisoning because it wasn't immediately noticeable until due to the sauce. Ordered their vegetable biryani for the first time with garlic naan and was pleasantly surprised. It was a two star one portion sized meal which we asked to split into two containers. When we found that both containers were packed to the brim it was a really good bang for your buck. The flavors are perfect and even at a two star you get plenty of heat. The consistent flow of to-go orders and customers coming in is proof of how great their food is. We tried the channa bhatura, kadhai paneer, roti, and kheer. All were fresh and really tasty. We ordered mild kadhai paneer and it still had some heat- so if you're sensitive to spiciness make sure to let the staff taking your order know. The channa bhatura was enough to be a meal in itself. I think they served already made daal by just heating it up without tadka. I get it if the dal was made already but was expecting tadka to be fresh so dal can be felt fresh. This place is cute. My dad invited me here for lunch. We were expecting to try a buffet but it wasn't available, so we just ordered off the menu. It was nice and quiet. We were the only ones there. My brother and I had butter chicken and my dad had the chick peas. It was so good 10/10 so tasty. They brought the food out in authentic beautiful plating. It was my brothers first time ever trying Indian food, we didn't know if he'd be a fan or not but he absolutely loved it.
