I had never been but was planning on bringing them to a friend who said he liked them. I ended up getting 6 glazed holes. In hindsight I'm glad I didnt get the donuts since the donut holes were dense and not great. I guess they are trying to reduce waste by stopping production so early but I wonder how much they lost with the people in front of and behind me who walked out. I saw 3 cars roll thru the drive thru without a purchase.

I asked the woman if it was custard filled, and she said it's ~bavarian cream.~ Excusez-moi. Great spot to pick up some pastries for church, the family, anywhere. They were cranking out the coffee, too. Nothing super fancy here. They have some savory items on their menu that I didn't see anybody order. I believe most of the business here is donuts. I'm not throwing this around lightly: this is hands down the best glazed donut in the New Orleans metro. Maybe all of America. I'm willing to defend that opinion. They're soft and airy in the middle, with that sugary crisp shell on the outside. They're always hot, and somehow they melt into this buttery, sweet perfection as you chew. It's the kind of donut that makes you sit in your car for a minute after the first bite just to appreciate what just happened, and you might just eat two before leaving the parking lot. I've had plenty of their other donuts, and they're all good. But nothing, and I mean nothing, touches the classic hot glazed. Be prepared for a line. Then forget about the line the second you take your first bite. It's worth every minute. If you're from Orleans Parish, let me save you the debate. Cross the parish line. It also only came with half of an egg and not a whole egg, which kind of surprised me. I was so excited to visit, but left highly disappointed in the quality of food during my experience. I do want to give them another chance during the week, but I'm not sure it's worth the drive. My total came to around $20 for the yakamein and donut and there is ample free parking. The lady at the register was nice, however I wish she offered a solution on me being shorted on meat.
