To be perfectly forthcoming, a huge part of the enjoyment in staying here is the fact that I am a big Elvis Presley fan. Let's be real, you're gonna have a much better time staying here if you're already a fan. Having said that, I feel like this place is elevated enough that even a non-Elvis fan could find enough to enjoy here. Perhaps someone who actively dislikes Elvis wouldn't want to stay here, but if you have no opinion on Elvis or you're only moderately aware of him, you're probably going to love staying at the hotel. To begin with it's a very secure property. The parking lot is patrolled day and night, and there are cameras everywhere. It's well known that Graceland is in the middle of a not so good neighborhood, so it's a good idea that they are this vigilant. Literally every night they throw a party in the lobby with live music and a boisterous atmosphere in the bar. It's always upbeat music that you can tap your foot or even dance to if you're so inclined. Various restaurants are available at various price points. One of the restaurants even puts out complementary peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at 9 PM every night if you're so inclined. All of the usual southern cooking is available including barbecue, fried chicken, and other such comfort foods. The common areas are beautiful, and feature elegant furniture and lighting accoutrements. I've always felt like the lobby was something you might see in a place like Las Vegas or New York. The swimming pool is well maintained and includes various seating options with nice soft towels. I've only been out there once, but I enjoyed my time there immensely. The equipment in the gym could probably use an update, but it is functional and it gets the job done. They were smart to place it viewing the courtyard area rather than the main road. Every time I've ever stayed here I've put in a morning walk on one of the treadmills and it's always worked just fine. The rooms are elegant and make good use of muted colors. Expect to see lots of red and black in your room, along with wood grain finishing on most of the furniture. The beds are typically quite firm if that's your thing, in my case I could probably stand for them to be slightly softer but that's typically not what you find in an American hotel room. I've always enjoyed the showers in the hotel room, which feature a double head including a rainfall option. Bath products over the years have always been high-quality, and I'm pleased that they have resisted the temptation to go to the large communal bottles bolted to the wall. Overall it's a magnificent experiencing staying here, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Like most people, I came specifically to see the famous Peabody Ducks make their grand entrance, and BABY, it did not disappoint! The lobby is absolutely regal, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I grabbed a seat, ordered a French 75 (which was REALLY good), and waited for the main event. Now, I knew the ducks were a big deal, but I wasn't expecting ALL the pomp and circumstance. LOL. The Duckmaster was fantastic! Personable, well-spoken, and entertaining. Even his explanation of the house rules was enjoyable, and surprisingly, everyone followed them! And then came the ducks! SO CUTE! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. If you're visiting Memphis, this is an absolute MUST-SEE! Between the beautiful hotel, great atmosphere, and famous ducks, it's well worth the visit. I had seen a few 'You Tube' videos about The Peabody and was very excited to be stopping here even if it was for just 30 minutes. We were not staying here but I wanted to walk the downstairs just to get an idea of this place. It truly is a wonderful-old-oppulent place where you can just see and feel the history around you. The dim lighting along with the dark woods just send you back in time. Our purpose to come to The famous Peabody hotel were to see the ducks. We came to late to see them come into the pool and too early to se them leave but just watching them splash around and have what looked like a really good time was fun. (See photos) The layout of the lower level is beautiful and I just explored until finally making my way to the gift shop. They have a pretty extensive collection of anything Memphis and I would up walking out with an "Elvis Duck" for my collection. If you come to Memphis make sure you stop by, even if you're not staying here. It's worth it.

So when I came by for a routine check up I was 38 weeks checkup and they check my blood pressure and it was high I had no choice to go into labor and I had to have a c section I wasn't dilating so I had the baby Tuesday 22,2022 yay !!! So my experience being at the Med it was great my team we're nice and willing to help out with everything helping out with baby giving information making me feel like I matter even the food taste good I had a nice experience here I will recommend this location to all parents. That's my personality, I look for the good. With living in this digital age, checking in is always seamless with all airlines and at this point I've used every carrier. One thing they do not have is the Touch-less TSA which I really appreciate since you just walk up and smile, no ID or boarding pass needed. It's super convenient and fast. MEM doesn't have this perk and TSA still will ask for your ID along with your boarding pass. That's not necessarily bad but I mean come on MEM you have such a beautiful airport. The Lounge is action is small with only Delta providing lounge access. So what does that mean, it's a SMALL airport! Again, not bad but let's get to the good. The Good: The restrooms are seriously the nicest public bathrooms ever. I can't even describe it, book a flight to Memphis! Anyone who I've traveled with has said how great the restrooms are. If Lounge action is too much or you don't have the perk but need to work then they have a business center. A literal workspace for those who love to bring work with them. The Bad: I'm not sure it's bad but the food choices are limited. There isn't even a Golden Arches (McDonalds) in this airport. I'd say eat before you get here unless you have lounge access. The UGLY! None, this is seriously a beautiful airport! I love traveling to Memphis, which will be a home away from home for a least another few months.

I was kind of confused by the change but discovered it was to honor the late founder of FedEx. Unsurprisingly, I was greeted by the humidity and heat as soon as I landed. Since the airport is pretty small, it wasn't hard to get to baggage claim, and my bags came out pretty quickly. The only hiccup was my lack of knowledge of the Fastbreak procedure, particularly at Budget Rent-A-Car services that they have at the airport. If you want to bypass the front desk and go directly to your rental car right away, make sure you enroll in Fastbreak in advance. Also, be aware of the inconsistent Wi-Fi service, have the appropriate documents in hand before pick up of rental, or it could turn into a very frustrating and chaotic experience.

I actually ended up with better rates by booking on my own, but it was still nice of him to do. This location is AWESOME as it's literally near a mall and many stores and restaurants. The area appears to be safe! The front desk dude had swag and was very professional. He was dressed like a celebrity... very elegant. Kuddos to hiring such nice , professional and well dressed staff. I was happy to see that, I was able to check in, after arriving so late in the night. I usually, always stay on the very top floor of hotels however, they were completely booked that weekend which was a Holiday weekend. Although, I was on a lower floor, I was still high up, and still had a good view. It was pouring rain out but, it was still nice to watch from my window with a view. The outside of the hotel is well maintained as well as, had nice landscape. The inside was also very clean. I like the restaurant/ bar area inside of the hotel as the employee there, was also very friendly. I personally thought that, the hallways of the hotel itself, could use a deep cleaning and airfreshners since, there's an indoor pool which, caused the chlorine smell to travel. It doesn't help that, humans are dripping wet in the elevators going to their rooms. The rooms are decent and the beds were OK except for, I'm not a fan of the headboards being plastered into the walls. I like that the linens were super clean and fresh. The bathrooms are very dated but not gross. The shower head was great as the water pressure was perfect! I loved that they had hot water that literally stayed hot the entire time of showers. All was going well, up until my departure when I was walking out of the room, bags in tow.... when suddenly, I looked up, to go turn the lamp over the bed off, and there was a critter crawling on the wall...OMG thank God...I was walking out and headed to the airport, when I seen that critter, otherwise, I would've freaked out and slept in my rental car or gone to another hotel. Sheesh ...God was with me there!!! Sadly, I wouldn't return because of the critter, but that's just me as, I'm not used to sleeping with critters in the facility. My recommendation: I'd invest in spraying effective " IMMEDIATELY"!!! PARKING was limited because all of the covered parking was blocked off, for some reason. The front desk celebrity guy, allowed for me to park in the cuddle in the front of the hotel, which was nice of him. The hotel has security driving around which is awesome since I arrived so late and she was literally right where she could see me, parking and going into the hotel. The front dest offered a new room. The new room was no help it was not safe. Just another spotless room that had major bugs. I panicked I will not sugar coat it. I have a great fear of bugs. Before it was all over my husband carried me to the car because I jumped on his back and hung on for dear life. I will not ever go to this location ever in life. The bus took us all over town and we got out on three separate occasions to explore. My favorite part was Millionaire's Row, with beautiful historic homes that contain some juicy history. The van is comfortable and it was nice to get back in on a slightly chilly February evening. I imagine this would be great in the summer too when it is a little too hot outside for a walking tour. Easy and convenient meeting location at The Broom Closet (seriously check out the merch here- they've got some great finds!)
