We absolutely LOVED Harper! Great food & great storytelling! Harper is a true ambassador of Memphis! We were impressed with his knowledge and pride in his city! He was known everywhere we went and had great relationships with all the restaurants we went to. This is a great tour for your first day in Memphis during your trip!

This is a great activity to do in Memphis! It is a family business ran by Lance and his wife Carol. We did the bbq food tour and it was fantastic! Lance was our tour guide, he was very friendly and knowledgable about bbq and memphis history. Fun fact: Lance is a judge for bbq competitions so he really knows good bbq! Read on for spoilers: Blues Cafe: Here we enjoyed ribs. They were absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back to this restaurant for some ribs! Central BBQ: We had ribs and bbq nachos. The nachos are a must! The Bar-B-Q Shop: Known for thier bbq sphagetti. Definitely worth trying once in your life! Surprisingly really good! The Pig on Beale: here we tried a pulled pork sandwich, it was delicious. Cozy Corner BBQ: the ribs were tasty A&R: lance brought A&R to us to save time, we had a shredded roast beef sandwich. It tasted sooo good and the bbq sauce makes it even better!

To die for and kill ya BBQ nachos at Alfred'a. My tummy hated me and this point but I didn't care.

Got a text from Carroll, the owner of the company the morning of to confirm information and she was extremely helpful and responsive to my questions. We met up with the amazing Taylor in the lobby and things could not have gone more awesome. She was so incredibly sweet, funny and knowledgeable about the city and the food. Memphis could not ask for a better ambassador. Then the food- the food people was yummy, it was just me and my hubby and Taylor and it felt like we went to a great lunch with a friend who knew the best spots. It's hours later and I'm still full!! Definitely would recommend! We're coming back to Memphis to eat some more!

Awesome tour. Taylor was an amazing tour guide. Really opened our eyes about the beautiful city that Memphis is.

What a beautiful and fancy hotel. We had the pleasure of staying here for 4 days and 3 nights. This…read moreplace is absolutely amazing and classy. We opted to upgrade to the Club Level Rooms on the 12th floor. The 12th floor is very exclusive. There is a private lounge and dining area on this 12th floor. There is a breakfast served daily and also an appetizer/charcuterie reception daily in the Club Level. It is very much worth the upgrade. The convention spaces at this wonderful hotel are very spacious. The history of the hotel and its "Peabody Ducks" are the show stoppers. Everyday there is a "Duck Parade/March" in which the Duckmaster and retrieves the ducks at 11a from their duck sanctuary on the top floor of the hotel. He brings them down the elevator to the lobby and they march on the red carpet into the famous and ornate Peabody Fountain. Then, at 5p the Duckmaster comes to retrieve them and does another "Duck March" back to the elevator to take back up to the duck sanctuary. People travel from all over the world to witness and participate in this ceremony. They have honorary duck Masters, people who have waited years, who practice the ceremony with the Peabody Ducks and Duckmaster. Everything was so well appointed and very ornate. There is also a history of the hotel that plays on the video in each room. If you have an opportunity in your lifetime to stay at this hotel and enjoy the amenities, I highly recommend it. There is also a pool and an athletic club on the lower level. I didn't have a chance to get to that area, but that was one of my goals so I have to save that for the next time I visit. Overall, the Club level King Room, the Club Level, and everything about our stay was 5-Star. The Bell Desk has Jeffrey who was outstanding at getting our bags upstairs to our room. The hotel registration process was seamless with Diamond handling all of our details and upgrade to a Club Level Room. Diamond's customer service was EXCELLENT and she made me feel welcome and valued as a hotel guest. Charles, we assume he is the lead Concierge, at the Valet area was professional and he made things happen for all of the guests. We are so impressed.

The airport itself was pretty neat and clean. Had no issues navigating when I deplaned. However,…read morethe trek to my rental had me singing an oldie but goodie. "I would walk 500 hundred miles and I would walk 500 hundred more." Wow, I think it was almost half a mile to get there. Friendly CSR's made up for it though. Just walk across and take the elevator up then walk down the stairs and across then down thru the tunnel then take the fork in the road. Then once you finish with the paperwork, go up the escalator towards the mountains to get to your actual rental.

There are nice things about having an international airport in a major U.S. City. One of the great…read morethings is that you can fly anywhere around the world within reason right out of your hometown. Also, there are opportunities for you to see very cool Art pieces on your way in and out out of the city. There are a lot of Art pieces displayed through out this airport. I believe that there is new construction because it does look a lot different from pictures that I saw when others visited here. They've done a great job with keeping it fresh clean and culturally relevant. Also, the bathrooms our very updated and new. At least in the terminal we were in near gate five. They have around the clock bathroom attendance, making sure that the supplies are in Check as well as that it is clean. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we rented a vehicle and had a horrible experience. The rental car company will be reviewed separately as it is not a part of the negative experience. The rental car center is about 1/2 mile away from the terminal. THERE IS NO RENTAL CAR SHUTTLE OPERATING. You will need to get your baggage, and then walk all the way to the rental car center in the outside heat. When we arrived, it was about 98 degrees outside and it was absolutely humid and hot. That walk to the rental car center was HORRIBLE. On the way back, after dropping off the rental car, it was 90 degrees. We took the 0.6 mile trek back in to the terminal from the rental car center. It was horrible as well. The highlight of this trip was not only the horrible long walk, but the TSA taking 22 minutes to screen my husband's backpack. The kid was searching forever and ever for some item even though we told him what we thought it was. Anyway, he found it and it was basically an enforcement challenge coin. We feel safer knowing that he's checking everything but the wait was ridiculous. And....WE ARE TSA PRECHECK so it was interesting because we BOTH got flagged to secondary processing. I did have an unopened water bottle in one of my bags, so that was totally on me.

I haven't stayed at a Holiday in, in YEARS since back in the day, when they were super popular!…read more We were having a Family Reunion in Memphis therfore, my Cousin booked this hotel for everyone who came into town. I actually ended up with better rates by booking on my own, but it was still nice of him to do. This location is AWESOME as it's literally near a mall and many stores and restaurants. The area appears to be safe! The front desk dude had swag and was very professional. He was dressed like a celebrity... very elegant. Kuddos to hiring such nice , professional and well dressed staff. I was happy to see that, I was able to check in, after arriving so late in the night. I usually, always stay on the very top floor of hotels however, they were completely booked that weekend which was a Holiday weekend. Although, I was on a lower floor, I was still high up, and still had a good view. It was pouring rain out but, it was still nice to watch from my window with a view. The outside of the hotel is well maintained as well as, had nice landscape. The inside was also very clean. I like the restaurant/ bar area inside of the hotel as the employee there, was also very friendly. I personally thought that, the hallways of the hotel itself, could use a deep cleaning and airfreshners since, there's an indoor pool which, caused the chlorine smell to travel. It doesn't help that, humans are dripping wet in the elevators going to their rooms. The rooms are decent and the beds were OK except for, I'm not a fan of the headboards being plastered into the walls. I like that the linens were super clean and fresh. The bathrooms are very dated but not gross. The shower head was great as the water pressure was perfect! I loved that they had hot water that literally stayed hot the entire time of showers. All was going well, up until my departure when I was walking out of the room, bags in tow.... when suddenly, I looked up, to go turn the lamp over the bed off, and there was a critter crawling on the wall...OMG thank God...I was walking out and headed to the airport, when I seen that critter, otherwise, I would've freaked out and slept in my rental car or gone to another hotel. Sheesh ...God was with me there!!! Sadly, I wouldn't return because of the critter, but that's just me as, I'm not used to sleeping with critters in the facility. My recommendation: I'd invest in spraying effective " IMMEDIATELY"!!! PARKING was limited because all of the covered parking was blocked off, for some reason. The front desk celebrity guy, allowed for me to park in the cuddle in the front of the hotel, which was nice of him. The hotel has security driving around which is awesome since I arrived so late and she was literally right where she could see me, parking and going into the hotel. Thanks madam Overall, had I not seen that critter, I was honestly gonna recommend staying here but, I'll leave it up to you! The hotel wasn't infested with critters but that 1 critter was enough for me to not return.

The front dest offered a new room. The new room was no help it was not safe. Just another spotless room that had major bugs. I panicked I will not sugar coat it. I have a great fear of bugs. Before it was all over my husband carried me to the car because I jumped on his back and hung on for dear life. I will not ever go to this location ever in life. I yelled so loud and for so long I have great throat pain. And I'm itching like crazy. I keep looking at my skin. I don't see anything but I'm still scared. Nope with the power YELP has invested in me as a Elete I rate this place 00 that's double zero negitive stars.
