I'm always satisfied with the quality of food from Tastee Bite. I have been going there for years. And actually prefer the cheese fires over Portillo's. Rarely do I take the time to go out of my way and write a review about a place. For the 3rd time I've called a order in, where they not had it ready. The last time, they had forgotten about it all together and the lied that it was being wrapped up. I would not recommend this place if you are in a hurry or have kids waiting to eat. Food is generally fine not wonderful but fine. Service is slow but it's a busy place. Today we drove out of our way to eat there. Ordered hamburger, fries, and Italian sausage with cheese and red sauce. Got the hamburger and fries my daughter says they were both good. I got an Italian beef with red sauce so I called to let them know and was told that it was ok if I wanted to come back and exchange the sandwich. No apology. So I drove back through town and the girl got my sandwich, "Here you go" is what I got. Still no apology. When I pointed out the fact that it was their mistake and I was the one who had been inconvenienced and didn't even receive an apology she flipped off an "I'm sorry, but..." Food is good but service is slow. Drive thru lane is very slow don't except tradional drive thru service, order ahead if you can I spent 15 minutes waiting with two cars ahead of me...not good. Try to order ahead if you can but its not always possible. I think they could figure out a way for people to move forward and park to avoid smaller oders to pass quicker. read more

This is our #1 lunch spot for work. I highly recommend the chicken ranchero panini. My daughter loves the mexican rice and my husband the turkey bacon avocado panini. Sometimes service can be slower... but that is only because they don't cook your food until you order it. The fries are THE BEST AROUND. A large really is pretty much family size! read more

I don't ever write reviews but I am now.... This place is ridiculous. I called to place an order at 11 minutes to closing and someone answered, said they were closed and hung up. I called back again, the same girl answered and I was told again that they were closed when they don't close until 9. Naturally the next question I asked is since when do you close before 9 when I know you don't close until 9 and was told they actually were closed at 8:30 because they were training a new girl. At that point I told her I could've easily ordered and been there to pick up my order within 10 minutes and then was offered for them to make my order if I wanted. I'll try to keep this review fairly short and simple, much like the establishment itself. I had a steak burrito which was flavorful and fairly tender, but also much greasier than most burritos I've had. My wife had a half order of chicken nachos, boasting good flavor and quantity but not served with an authentic type tortilla chip. We shared an order of onion rings that were beer battered and good. The reason I won't be visiting again is the clientele and workers were off putting, making the experience a bit awkward and rushed. My dad was craving an Italian Beef or Philly Cheesesteak so after much research I found this place served both. They also have fried pickles, so I was sold. I ordered an Italian Beef with cheese for myself, a Philly Cheesesteak with everything (plus peppers) for my dad, then some fried pickles to share and a chocolate malt shake. I called my order in for pickup and they said 10-15 minutes. I made it there in about 10 minutes and all my food was ready (except the shake). The employee made my shake for me on the spot, so it was fresh and not melted. (They use Edy's ice cream, which is Dreyer's, so it was good and chocolately.) I was tempted to eat a fried pickle on the way home but resisted the urge. Once home, my dad and I split the sandwiches. I have to say, the Italian Beef was all beef. The bread was soggy with delicious juices from the beef, so it was hard to eat but pretty tasty. I really just wish there was more than just bread, meat, and the $0.50 extra cheese I requested. The Philly Cheesesteak was much better since it had onions, peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes. No cheese, surprisingly since it is a cheesesteak. My dad couldn't decide which he liked better, so he devoured both. He even liked the fried pickles, which I thought were delicious as well. FINALLY a place with really good food in Plano! The turkey/bacon/avocado panini is to die for - they butter the bread with an herb or garlic butter and it is just crispy and flavorful and delicious. Add some cheese fries and this girl is in heaven :) They are a little more pricey than your standard fast food, but the quality totally makes it worth a few extra bucks. One thing that boggles my mind each time I'm there - the drive thru. They make all their food to order and we usually wait at least 10 minutes for paninis and fries and it is frustrating when you're waiting in your car in the drive thru. For ice cream, no problem. But if you're ordering food just go inside - you won't be disappointed! read more

VERY fresh food! Ordered gyros, fries, pop combo (#1) and still was hungry after I ate it. Gyros portions are NOT large like the gyros places in Chicago. Tastee Bite's prices are higher than Smokey's in Yorkville. Tastee Bite has self-serve soda machine, which Smokey's does NOT have. The last couple of times they are under staffed. Orders wrong. Drive thru missing food and they won't credit your debit card when they charge it incorrectly. Just let you give your last name for food later. The food is good but they will be losing our family as customers. Service and experience are also critical. Poor Choice by the owner. I never review but after a while it was time! I sat on hold on the phone for a long time and the girl who finally got on was rude at first. If you even get them to answer, good luck. Beware if you order the catered beef for a party. We ordered last weekend and it was so spicy most of my guests were unable to eat it, including myself. We eat here 2-3 times a month and are a fan of their food, but I will never order the beef again. When I called to see if I had ordered a spicy version in error, I was told there is only one but it depends on which cook makes the Aus Jus. I recommend for future orders, the customer is asked whether they want spicy or not. Good thing I had other items for dinner, since the beef just sat there. :-( read more

So I just picked up order here I ordered chicken gyro large plate for hubby and I now I don't eat beef and really don't like the beef gyro at all have gotten chicken here many times AND I might add this isn't the first time they got it wrong !!!! 3 that I can think of why didn't I check bag hell I even gave tip at the drive through so I get home no tomatoes no onions ..... and beef I call and she waited 1 hour to call back as they were busy REALLY 1 hour now this is our dinner BUT THEY WERE BUSY so she the so call manager says I'm lying holy cow holy cow can I say holy cow !!!! The kids LOVE Tastee Bite. Their french fries are excellent. Gotta have good fries. And it's fun to be able to enjoy a movie while you have your meal. Usually there are 2 different kid friendly movies playing to choose from. Oh, and I'm a fan as well. Great little "fast food" restaurant. I would say its more like a Culver's, it takes a decent amount of time to get your food, still only about 5 or 6 minutes. But definitely worth the wait! The fries taste like Portilos and who doesnt like portilos fries?! The only down side to the place is if you see a line in the drive through go inside! The drive thru is EXTREMELY slow. Dont waste your gas waitihg for them to cook the 100 hot dogs for the guy infront of you, i think they give priority to the people eating in because i always seem to get my food fasted when i go in. read more

So far the best fast food Plano has to offer. Being from the city was so hard to find a good place with good food. The burritos, taco, gyros, beefs and fries are great. The service is excellent also. I stopped in for a quick burger... actually a junior burger to go. That was my only item. When I unwrapped it, I noticed there was something on the bun that for all intents and purposes was made to look like a patty of meat. However, calling it beef would be a stretch. I'm not sure what it was but one bite and I was done with it. I only ate the lettuce and the bun out of desperation to fill the void of not having eaten lunch earlier. Been visiting this establishment for years. Recently their customer service has gone WAY downhill-and I work customer service as my career! In the last 6 months I have had numerous issues where they have refused to stand by their business and serve the customer fairly and admit or compensate when they are in the wrong. Before you get your order, it's generally checked by the cook first, and the register girl second. So how is it, that when ordering two dinners, only one is received?! When brought to their attention, and asked for replacement sides with the dinner that was missed, because now.... those will be cold! I was refused! This was purchased in the drive thru. If I brought the ENTIRE order back, then I would receive new order in its entirety, without acknowledging that I now need to drive all the way back and not be compensated for THEIR error! I was offered 10pct discount on next order, that will be kept "on the books" but won't tell you that you have to use within 30 days. Well, they don't stand by that either!!! Been there/done that before! That was my experience over an item missed from my order ... value was $2.69 for the item in August 2017. When I returned on next visit, they refused to honor comp. Only because I agree on supporting local businesses, I have recently started visiting this establishment again, thought.. give a second chance. Well, as the saying goes, fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice? Well, you know! So this instance happened where entire dinner was missing and decided that I would bring order back for full refund, as clearly they do not value their customers or customer experience. Upon returning, the employee continued to apply SALT IN THE WOUND and completely emtpy all contents of bag that they gave me!! To verify I'm returning everything!! Are you kidding me?!?!?! You're gonna check that I return what you could not fulfill completely in the first place???! I will NEVER go back and will forward this to all locals.
