They have a great selection of teas, slushees and coffee, just a shame they don't offer samples. I didn't enjoy the hazelnut syrup in the coffee, it made it very artificial. The slushees were great though, made well with real fruit pieces and not too sweet. Plenty of easy parking and very clean and well maintained store. read more

Tastea is one of my usual fav places to go to with their amazing fruit tea smoothies! And i was happy that they have one here in Riverside now. In the beginning, it was amazing, but now quality decrease and price increase, which is not good since they have Sharetea, 99 ranch, and other boba places as nearby competition. + Good location with lots of parking + Drinks are still pretty good, but I was disappointed that one of my drinks is more of a juice than a smoothie. + Karate chicken was still good but their new system makes it lacking (more info below). - As mentioned before, prices increased for the snacks that don't seem reasonable for the amount - They have two snack sizes: regular (~$5) and large (~$9). For the usual price of a regular, their box is super small, and I was hoping that it was an open one so they could fit more chicken, but it has a lid so it caps the amount. If you look at the picture, i got their regular, and it was smaller than my hand. I heard it was something new that they are doing, but I hope they bring back the one size price or at least make the portions worth the price. read more

So far this is my favorite in the area. They use real milk for the milk tea, not dairy cream. It tastes very simple, just tea and milk! The boba is chewy and green. Notice that they have 2 types of bobas: non sweeten ones are green and the honey boba is black: I haven't tried honey boba but I think it might be healthier with the non sweeten one. Not sure how healthy their teas are but it sure is addicting. I've had the peach me sweetea, lychee peachee, the unknown, jasmine iced tea, the great white, thai milk tea, taro milk tea, and the golden milk tea. And let me tell you, every single one of these teas are loaded with flavor. I suggest getting the drinks less sweet if you don't have a strong sweet tooth. I'm a long time Tastea customer but when I ordered my go to drink, the worker gave me less boba than usual. I ordered 32oz and my friend ordered the same size but we have different amount of boba. I received SIGNIFICANTLY less than hers and I asked the worker if I could get a little more and she replied back rudely that it would have been 0.75 cents more which I find unacceptable. I feel unsatisfied with my Tastea experience and I will not be returning to this location because clearly they do not care about their customer satisfaction. Always one of my go-tos! One of my top choices for boba in Riverside cuz it's always super soft and chewy with a the perfect hint of sweetness to it. This franchise is known for their signature green honey boba. Don't be alarmed by the color as it is probably just food coloring but the quality of the boba itself is exemplary. Every single time I have ordered boba with my drink, the boba balls are always super soft and chewy and warm (great sign of fresh boba). The fruit teas are great and come with fruit bits at the bottom as well. A favorite tea of mine would be their unknown which is a mango and passion fruit black tea with longan bits. I usually switch out the black tea for green and have medium sweetness and it is the perfect drink for a sunny day, especially in Riverside. Another favorite is the lychee peachee which is a lychee and peach flavored black tea with lychee bits . Their milk teas are also very delicious and super creamy. All of the milk teas are made with a non-dairy creamer (yay for people with lactose intolerance!) but you can substitute it with whole milk, oat milk or almond milk. They also offer Stevia as a sugar substitute! My favorites here would be their golden milk tea and thai milk tea. Super creamy and rich and perfect when paired with their honey boba. Overall, their teas are great (both fruit and milk teas) with the ability to adjust the sweetness and ice levels. I also tend to switch out the black tea base to green tea for my fruit tea drinks because I like the stronger tea flavor. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program so you can earn points (3 pts for every $1 spent) and you can redeem the points for drink upgrades and more. During Lunar New Year, they were giving out scratchers with various rewards. I ended up receiving the upgrade your drink to 32oz cup. It's a good deal on a semi-hot day. The workers were really nice and surprisingly filled my cup with a lot more fruit bits than usual. The boba was soft and chewy. Just how I like it. So that was worth it! I usually come here since it's closer than driving to OC. The snacks they have are really yummy too. I mainly get the popcorn chicken - medium spice with the sweet/sour sauce. So good! They've changed their snacks boxes though, so I'm not sure if you're getting more or less than before, but it's a good size if you're craving something to hold you over for lunch/dinner. I was super delighted when I found out there was a Tastea that opened up in Riverside! Finally a decent tea place to hit up! No more having to make the drive out to Rowland Heights or Chino Hills when I start craving tea! The employees behind the counter have always been very friendly and welcoming each time, so that is a definite plus. If you are like me and need help deciding between a drink or two, don't be afraid to ask what they recommend! The past few times I went I was unable to decide on a drink and the staff were on point with their suggestions! I have tried most of the drinks and snacks on the menu at various locations, but at this location, I have tried the Amazing Strawburst, Matcha Thai Tea, Yummy Gummy, Krypteanite and Butt Load'a Fries. The Amazing Strawburst at this location was not too great. There was powder in my drink and it made me cough. The Matcha Thai Tea and Krypteanite are my favorites that I keep ordering most of the time to play it safe. Both are similar, but the Krypteanite is a thicker matcha ice blended smoothie and leaves a big chunk of ice, while the Matcha Thai Tea is smoother and not too sweet if you adjust the sugar a bit. Both are good though. I would not really recommend the Yummy Gummy, as it was really sweet and there was a layer floating on the top after a while. The Butt Load'a Fries are really good! They sprinkle their special Tastea powder and it comes with your sauce of choice (weak sauce, ranch sauce or ketchup). As someone who is NOT a fan of fried or oily foods, these fries were yummy and crispy! Overall, the quality of the drinks are nice and refreshing, but more on the pricey side. Expect to pay around $7-$8 on a 32 oz drink. The wonderful customer service and quality of their drinks make it worth the price though. I have found my new go-to for tea and smoothies now! read more

I just ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and while they were making it I asked for no ice. The server immediately said "I can't top off the drink with more coffee when the ice is removed". I hadn't yet even asked for a top off. I asked "Why? I am essentially paying for 24oz of a drink - ice cost nothing". They said it would change the "flavor profile" and I said that'd be okay and then they proceeded to say it'd be an extra charge. REALLY? Starbucks tops off their drinks/coffee all the time and got in trouble for not serving the ounces actually listed on the menu. What happened to customer service? I will find my Vietnamese tea elsewhere. Oh and the chicken was meh... nothing to get super excited about. Review update: A few days later I went to a different Boba place and ordered the same beverage - no ice and no problem with a top off of coffee for no extra charge. I USED to love this place (I have frequented this place once or twice a week since it opened) until a few recent experiences. My last straw was a few days ago. I ordered a small honeydew milk tea with no ice and half sweet with no boba. The guy who took my order (he was nice and friendly) asked if i wanted to top it off, I said no. I didn't know that no topping off would result in only about 65% full and for about $5, it has left a sour taste in my mouth). I went to show the guy the amount of drink they gave me and asked if they could top it off for me, he said I would have to pay EXTRA. I felt like i was being ripped off. I usually order my milk tea with no ice and half sweet and of all the boba places I have been to (ShareTea, Half & Half, Happy Lemon, Ding Tea, Omomo, Boba Tea House, etc), I always get a full cup of drink. The previous visit with a bad experience was with a specific staff there. She was rushing me and cutting me off while I was ordering. I wanted to try one of the summer drinks when they were available (forgot the exact name, but it had honeydew and I DIDN'T know it was a slushy. Thought it would be similar to a muddy melon), and asked if i could have it with less ice, she gave me the most judgy and condescending look and talked to me as if i'm really stupid, "SO, it's gonna be liquidy. You want something liquidy with slushy? You want that? You want that?" and shrugged. She could have simply said, "sorry, but we can't do that with slushies" and i'd totally be cool with it. After this visit, I stopped going there for a few weeks. Normally, Tastea staff are so nice and friendly (and I love their positive energy), but one. I told my friend about it and she thought I was exaggerating until she came in and that same staff took her order. My friend agreed that specific staff had a really bad attitude. If it just happened one time, maybe that person had a bad day, but if it's a few times, that staff needed further training in customer service. We didn't wanna go in the day she's working.
