honestly... I love Tastea. I think it's one of my favorite boba spots. I was really addicted to their Horchata crunch at one point. I recently got their Tiger Milk Tea and I think this is definitely a new favorite. Honestly maybe even a little too sweet, even for me. What's nice though is you can adjust sweetness levels so I'll be sure to do that next time. I also got their Jujutsu rice bowl (but I took out the corn & got sauce on the side). I was contacted by John and offered for a revisit. I really appreciate the responsiveness and willingness to hear feedback. That's a key in my book. After two different orders, I figured out that the sweetness is not consistent for same level of sweetness across all types of drinks. Even though I added more tea top off and no ice, the tea flavor in tea based drinks is so much better than milk based drinks. I love their Oolong Peach Iced Tea. The flavor is refreshing, strong with tea and floral. But the milk based of the same one is so milky, and very sweet for lite sweet. If you have Asian palate, you'll probably enjoy the lite sweet, tea based drinks more. With the price is on a higher end, it's hard to commit to a drink or try out new ones. I also see that they added 80 cents for top off, which is not a big deal if the tea flavor is there. But I added more to the milk based drinks and was utterly disappointed. read more

This Tastea had their lights on sensors and we had thought that they were closed until we saw a staff behind the counter. We asked if they were open and the light came on as we entered inside. Needless to say, we were the only group there and were able to place our order after we decided what to get. The place had plenty of tables and chairs, and we took the biggest table in the middle of the place. Once the light was on, the place is actually very well lit and kept very clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and she was knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. We went with their BBQ flavored fries, the cheese potato balls, and vietnamese coffee. I love their little munchies. Both fries and potato balls/tots were perfectly cooked and crispy. It goes well with the dipping sauces too. We went with ranch and bbq sauce. I ordered 2 jugs: Thai Milk Tea and Great White Tea for a game night party of 10 people. What fun, crowd favorites! No one expected to have these kind of drinks by the jug. To my surprise, the Great White was the star of the party, very refreshing, mixed well with 1800 tequila, and was completely gone! I called before I made my same day, online order to ensure that 2 jugs could be made/ready in 4 hours. The service was great and my drinks were ready on time. I typically love Tastea but I think I should have ordered honey boba instead of the crystal boba to my peach slushie. The rainbow jellies were still yummy. Ever since we moved to the IE, we haven't had Tastea and decided to see if there was one in the area and found this place on Yelp. We came here during the day on Friday right after it opened and place was not pack at all yet (probably later in the evening like most tastea) but plaza was pretty packed with cars. Seems like a busy plaza. Anyways, it was kind of nice coming at a time where not much ppl were there since we were able to take our time to look at the menu and order. Wow, surprisingly delicious! Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30 pm. Only 2 staff members were working, and right before we were about to order, the staff taking our order asked if it was okay if we waited at least 5-10 minutes before our drink was made, which was considerate! My go-to drinks are usually: The Unknown, Jasmine Milk Tea, & Peach Me Sweetea. My younger brother's favorites are the Honeydew Milk Tea and Strawberry Milk Tea. They also have smoothies that are great for kids! Tastea's drinks are definitely on the sweeter side, so I recommend getting less sweet or lite sweet. Their boba is green, but has no difference in taste than most boba shops. On Christmas, they even have red & green boba! I always order on the Tastea app! It is very user friendly and they give discounts and rewards regularly. I highly recommend using the app, especially during the pandemic! Super easy and quick contactless pick up. Don't get me wrong.. I LOVE Tastea, but this locationis understaffed (making wait times longer). I came on a Saturday afternoon and I ordered online. My order was scheduled to be ready in about 15 mins and I showed up a few mins earlier. I checked in at the pick up window and the girl was super nice and said my order would be up shortly. As I was waiting, more and more people were showing up for their online orders as well as walk-in orders. There were only 2 employees working and I felt so bad for the girl making drinks while the other was on cashier. We just spent a few hours at Ice Town around the corner and I'm glad my kids chose to go here, we love our boba! It was clean, welcoming, and loved the bench seating for larger parties. The cashier was patient as we ordered as this was our first time. Another employee also offered to bring our food to the table, but I told him I had it. I spent $50 after tip for 4 small drinks and an order of (the best) fries (ever), 2 orders of karate chicken, 1 order of shrimp, no spice on anything. Kids loved everything, my favorite is the shrimp. I did have an issue with the chicken, a lot of the pieces were just skin. Their "weak sauce" that they offer with the food is just a sweet chili sauce. Rarely do boba places offer food and although their menu is limited to these three items, they do it justice. We did also love that their honey boba is green. Overall, their tea was average. I feel like it was on par with any other tea place, nothing special. A little pricy, I didn't bother to sign up for their loyalty program as we don't live in the area. Wanted to get large drinks, but a large at $6.50 plus 0.60 per add in, I'm not down to pay almost $8 a drink x4! They do offer a "ParTea JUG" for $29.99 which I found laughable and enticing at the same time. I could probably drink a jug myself. This was my second try having Tastea, after first having it in Chino Hills. I'm starting to think it's just not for me. The first time I went, I had the "Bootea Shaker" and it was way too sweet. They had to make multiple adjustments just to make something I could tolerate. This time, I was in the area and ShareTea had changed their menu and removed my usual drink, so I came here. Since I didn't like their artisan tea series, I went with something safer. I got a jasmine milk tea with boba, half sweet. Again, the drink was ridiculously sweet. There's something about the boba that Tastea makes as well. It's somehow extra sweet compared to the boba that other places serve. So even at half sweet, the drink was too sweet. But then you add the sweetness of the boba and it's just too much. I ended up having a few sips and giving up on it. I get the feeling that Tastea's recipes are meant to make sweet drinks and it's just not something I like. These days, I want drinks that are just subtly sweet, but with a strong tea flavor and good quality boba. I don't think that's Tastea's priority. If I had to describe it, I'd say it was a chain that was catering to non-Asians so they give their drinks catchy names and amp up the sweetness. But they also have Tastea in Asian areas. So maybe they're after the younger crowd and know that the high school kids that come here like sweet drinks? I'm not sure. But this is the only chain that I've been in where I realize I have a salty "get off my lawn" attitude the entire time I'm looking at their menu and having their drinks. read more
