    Sushi and sashimi combo

We found this place on our way back home from a weekend in Kingston. I am pleasantly surprised how our food turned out! They were able to accommodate our group of 11 with such short notice, and our food came in without a long wait. Our family definitely ordered more seafood, and to me, they tasted fresh -- complete surprise. They definitely closed half of their restaurant due to the pandemic, and I hope that they will get more business. I see so much potential what this place could be ( or could be again). People of Poulsbo, this is pretty good Asian food.

Got the spider roll , it was good . However for the size of the roll , I felt it was over priced!! Would go back to try some other stuff!! Definitely have enough room to accommodate bigger party!!

    California Roll

Ignore the shitty reviews and pay attention. I have missed good sushi since I've lived in CA and moved to OR and WA. Even decent places in Seattle left me missing the bay area's simplistic and delicious California Roll. This place will have my business every time I'm here. The California roll has perfectly toasted sesame seeds, perfectly ripe avocado, and (I can't believe I'm typing this) the quality of the imitation crab is second to none. The "sleep beauty" roll was Smokey, chili-brite, rich and delicious. Service was prompt and polite. Having stayed in the hotel across the road many times and driven to Silverdale for dinner, this place really seems to have made its mark. Forget the sad remarks on "Americanized Chinese" those people should go to panda. If you want sushi in Silverdale/Poulsbo area, come here.

Super delicious hot and sour soup minus the fish and scallops. Only shrimp.

I have been to this restaurant many times, starting with the first week that they opened a few years back. As it should be, they have come a long way since those early days. The menu is pretty solid and extensive enough. The wait staff know what they are doing and do it fairly well. I usually get the waiters Tony or Ryan, Tony being my favorite, but Ryan is absolutely adorable. Both stand out because they are willing to go over the menu with their customers in detail, make recommendations and come back enough times to make sure that their customers are satisfied with their meal. The look and feel of this restaurant is odd. From the outside it looks like no one is ever there, and honestly not many are there. It doesn't really look like a Chinese restaurant that would catch your attention and draw you in. In fact, you might drive right past it or even look directly at it and wonder what it is. When you first walk in the interior décor looks like it's supposed to be high class but then in a split second you will realize that it is just a bit gaudy. I do have some favorite things on the menu that I tend to eat most of the time. I love both of their soups, the hot and sour and the Westlake. They waiters are super kind to me because they know I do not like certain types of seafood and they make sure that they remove those from the hot and sour and just simply give me plenty of shrimp instead. Hot and Sour and Westlake are very different soups and I honestly can't tell you which I like the most. I switch between the both of them, equally satisfied no matter my choice. Most of their appetizers are tasty. I don't have a particular recommendation for you but the ones I've had have been delightful. I especially like chow fun, with the wide noodles, with chicken and no bean sprouts. However, all the dishes I've had have been decent. And I've had probably 6 or so from the menu over the past couple of years. I am not a huge fan of sushi, but I actually think they make really good sushi. They have a nice variety, and the prices are great. So, all in all, I give them a very solid average score. They have good people serving, decent food, good prices, and all of that. A bit lower than the 4 or 5 star range --- and at the moment I can't tell you why. It's not quite a 4 or 5 star restaurant even though it has all of the wonderful features that I mentioned in this review. There's just something missing. Could be the fact that there's hardly ever any one dining there no matter what time of day. I do recommend that you give them a try.

Moo Shu pork, pork fried rice, cashew chicken, cucumber with garlic sauce-fortune cookies. A complete meal!

We were so happy to find a restaurant that allows us to order online and pick up with no contact. The food was ordered and brought home within 15 minutes and ready to be served without using the microwave. We ordered cashew chicken, pork fried rice ,walnut shrimp, Moo Shu pork (best plum sauce) really happy that we can support this business as we have been patrons for years.

Worlds smallest sushi portions. Get them here!!! (The was old and crunchy)

The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is the view. Taking a star off for stomach ache it gave me only 10 min. Later. Service: Horrible at best. I ask them to explain the "Seafood Delight" and all I got was "um, it's vegetable with seafood..." After it came out he never came back. Food: Bland, lacking flavor, missing a side of Metamucil. Sushi was almost as good as day old Sushi. I wanted Seared salmon and he says "um, what do you mean". Even the water tastes like it came out of a hose. Atmosphere: Dirty, very Dirty. Plate was dirty and my replacement was a small saucer, not even a full plate. WTF?!? I'll include my picture of the worlds smallest sushi pieces ever served in Kitsap County.

Back of the Sushi Bar. Seating available right n front of it.

Our dining experience began with cold appetizers, including a mixed black fungus dish with a satisfying crunch and tangy vinegar flavor, alongside pickled lotus root vegetables with a garlicky and subtly spicy taste. For our main courses, we opted for the Deep Fried Fish Szechuan Style, which was filled with cod fish, had a lighter batter coating, and a pleasing crunch, but beware of its savory and fiery flavor, which intensifies after several bites. We also selected the Szechuan Hometown Tofu, which offered our taste buds a savory flavor, enhanced by chili sauce, a crunchy exterior, and a soft, silky interior. On the side, we ordered a bowl of steamed purple rice and white rice. This exceptional culinary experience combines the perfect balance of crunchiness, chili spice, garlicky freshness, and sweetness, rich flavors of Szechuan cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic Szechuan-style dining experience.

I don't know how you can mess up noodles but no one in my family would eat them and there is one person in my family that will manage to eat almost anything and they refused. The sweet and sour chicken was drowning in sauce even though we asked more than once for the sauce to be on the side. We liked the bell peppers and onions in the sauce. The chicken pieces were of decent size. I did not care for the sauce. The white rice was well made and fluffy. The rice was probably the best part of the dish. About an hour later, we ended up throwing up the food. A complete waste of $31 dollars (which is pricey for what was supposed to be a lunch special). Also, vegetable chow mein and chicken chow mein is the same price which we found out after we had paid. Lunch is pictured and mention to include soup BUT you only get soup if you dine in. The place looked clean the the people seemed friendly. We may give them one more chance bc of the friendly service.

I had lived in Beijing for 8 years and spoke pretty good mandarin for a 老外 so I ordered for us. Our waitress, one of two sisters who ran the place, I call her 陈大姐, said to me, Wow, you can speak Chinese! You must be very smart! I replied, You must be very smart. You can speak Chinese! At first she didn't know what to say but then laughed. It was the beginning of a lovely relationship. However since the pandemic we had not been back. Perhaps yesterday we were in the spirit of celebrating the Spring Festival. We decided to go there. What a great choice! 陈大姐 by coincidence was working. She retired years ago. (Her sister opened another 老四川 in Bellevue but unfortunately has since passed away.) 陈大姐 immediately recognized us. She remembered our son and other family members who often joined us there. It felt like old friends getting together again. Unfortunately my wife and I were the only ones in our little group. It's better to have more people so you can order more dishes. We only got 4 dishes, 宫保鱼, 椒盐虾,干煸四季豆, 夫妻肺片。Gong bao fish, salt and pepper shrimp, green beans and "husband and wife lung strips"! Actually that's a beef and tendon appetizer. Everything tasted just like we remember. Well, the fish dish was wetter than before but still tasty. Flavors are authentic but a little toned down from the Sichuan food in China and in a few other local restaurants. The main flavor of Sichuan cuisine is 麻辣 or spicy numbing. It's not really so hot as it is numbing. Your lips tingle. Most people who didn't grow up with this aren't big fans. Their 水煮肉 or 水煮鱼 comes pretty close though. Leftovers with either of those and leftover rice plus whatever make the very best 烩饭, huifan! Just boil it. We arrived there early and there were just a few other customers eating. And they left soon after. So it was just us and a steady stream of delivery drivers coming in to pick up food to go. I would consider ordering on line like that but this food doesn't hold up well over the distance to our home. Although the interior had been remodeled since our last visit, the decor is fairly stark. Combine that with the location in a strip mall on the corner of Jackson and 12th, which has seen better days, ambience isn't a real draw. However if what you want is a very good meal at reasonable prices then you should go to the Sichuanese Cuisine restaurant in Seattle. (I prefer it to the one in Bellevue.) Too bad you probably won't get to meet 陈大姐。Now that we know the food is still great, we will return.

Stir Fried Green Bean - as a green beans fanatic, my partner was a huge fan of the ones here. She liked these over our usual Canto spot which says a lot. The green beans themselves were fresh and cooked perfectly but the sauce was more flavorful than most. Very savory and lightly salty, not really spicy. Sweet and Sour Chicken - missing the onions and pineapple but a very sizable portion of large, tasty battered chicken paired with juicy and crunchy bell peppers. Definitely pair with some rice, there's a lot of sauce and a simple carb helps with balance. Shredded Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce - I was attracted by the steamed buns (gua bao), but the pork was tasty. A bit fatty and drenched in a savory, umami bean sauce, a simple carb like rice will help soak up sauce and balance flavors. There aren't enough buns for the meat, but they are a simple carb that balance out the meat and honestly, a refreshing change in flavor and texture.
