I heard about this place, saw the food and added it to my try list and I finally made it. It is tucked away in a shopping center I actually rode by it the first time but this spot is a gem. Upon enter we was welcomed in and the young lady who took the order was very kind and patient as we looked over the menu. We told her it was out first time and she told us how her aunt owned the restaurant and it's a family business. We had heard about the $10 fish sandwich that they do on Fridays and decided to go with that. (The $10 deal is only during certain times so check before going) The fish was fresh, hot and made to order. I haven't had a good fish sandwich in the dmv in but the one I had from here AMAZING!! To drink I had the Ginger Lemonade, the ginger was a little strong but it didn't bother me because I like ginger. Let's go support this business give them a try! I just may go back every Friday ! Lol!

Second time I been to this place since the take over First time fried oysters/or mussels was fried to death! No life after or flavor Half and half tea was bomb Today I ordered a beef patty with 2 drinks. Line was long so I decided to order something quick Drink 1 which was the blueberry lemonade was too sweet And drink 2 I got the half and half again all I could taste was tea bag But let's get the the beef patty , dry , spicy and hard I have pictures to prove they have to do a lot better with the food quality, line was out the door but you have the female owner eating on the fry line instead of getting the orders out, it was about 10 order people on the store waiting to order or already ordered. The young teenage on the register did a fabulous job I jus think they need to slow down and actually pay attention to orders

Scrapple Egg n Cheese Sandwich - A breakfast sandwich contains scrambled eggs with melted cheese and two fried fish fillets, all assembled in a soft, toasted bun. The sandwich is placed on a piece of white paper, with a reflective surface in the background. The top bun has a slight glaze or sauce on it, and the fish fillets are dark and crispy. The image captures a close-up view of the sandwich, highlighting the textures of the eggs, cheese, and fish.

Fried whiting - The image shows two pieces of fried fish, one larger fillet and a smaller, curled piece, placed on white paper. The fish is breaded and fried, with a golden-brown crust, and garnished with chopped herbs. The presentation suggests a casual dining setting, likely at a seafood eatery.

Delicious! Great portions and food quality. Ordered the fish sandwich and bacon egg and cheese croissants. If you love croissants or bodega style breakfast sandwiches. You'll enjoy theirs. The fried fish sandwich was what I think of when I want a fried fish sandwich. The way it should be fried This is a family business which I also love. Service is always on point. If there's a mix up they are on it about correcting it. Always greeted with a smile. We usually pick up our orders but the inside is cute as well for a quick bite.

    Curry chicken sandwich

The food was awesome. The restaurant is so cute inside very chill and clean and their customer service is superb! The curry chicken sandwich is 10/10! Anything was good my favorite was the sandwich.

Fried fish and shrimp combo - The image shows a black plastic takeout container filled with fried fish fillets, breaded shrimp, and a portion of rice mixed with beans. A black plastic fork is placed in the rice, and a small packet of sauce is included. The container is resting on a person's lap, who is wearing a purple sweater, inside a vehicle. The background includes part of a car interior and a glimpse of a yellow condiment cup.

There was bones in the Whiting. Rice and peas was not seasoned. Disappointed for the price.

Staff is friendly, nice set up on the inside. Service was fast. The oxtail were tender but could have used more gravy. Jerk chicken sandwich was very good. I would come again to try more options.

a person holding a sandwich in a paper bag - A person is holding a partially eaten pastry wrapped in white paper, with a brown paper bag around it. The pastry appears to have a flaky, golden crust with some filling visible inside. In the background, there is a cup with a dark beverage placed on a tiled floor. The setting suggests a casual environment, possibly a cafe or takeaway spot.

I'm usually next door getting my hair washed for a little while so I decided to grab a quick bite to eat for my wait. I decided on the chicken patty and blueberry lemonade. Let's start with the lemonade, talk about sweet! A large lemonade was less than $3 and taste amazing if you really enjoy lemonade as I do. I figured the patty might be a little spicy so the sweet could take out some of the spice. Well I was right, the chicken patty tasted great but I had to take a few breaths between bites before I could finish it. The customer service was reasonable. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I would visit again I would also suggest asking about spice level prior to ordering. Parking is great, they are located in a shopping center with ample parking fro all customers and you can usually parking is FREE!

Detox drink - A clear plastic cup containing a yellow-green liquid with a straw inside is positioned on a car seat. The background shows part of a car interior, including a door handle and seat. The drink appears cold, with condensation on the cup.

Always wonderful on point. Love the new cocktail sauce. Yes yes yes love the new organic ketchup, made by Lucky. It's not too salty and it doesn't take away the taste of the food. We love the changes for the condiments. Of course the blueberry lemonade always on point always a hit. The service was amazing according to what my mother said. She said the chef was very happy to make her food. He made her the last turkey burger they had because everything is fresh and made to order she ordered from the parking lot and then went and got her order. She got herself, two sweet potato mini pies and got me one taking one for lunch the last turkey burger he had she got it fully loaded as usual you didn't think to give me one. It's OK and she got the brussels sprouts which she ate all of when she came in from work so she has no leftover brussels sprouts and she got herself. I guess it's a roasted chicken wrap or turkey. It is for her lunch tomorrow. She said the ambience of the place was it was busy because you know it was the dinner rush, but people were still happy to be there and excited and ready to eat. Of course everybody went in there with their appetite and came out happy, satisfied and eating some of their food either in their cars in the parking lot and or while driving eating their french fries. I love this place. I love the changes to the condiments. The ketchup was not over salty the cocktail sauce was not over salty I'm getting ready to finish my shrimp basket and the blueberry lemonade is always on point. I wish they had. I wish I told her to get me a peach tea and or a hibiscus tea/lemonade those are always the first two to sell out all the time, but I will say the food gets better and better each time I experience it.

Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. When I arrived, the place was packed, which is great to see -- but nearly half of the special items were already sold out. I went ahead and ordered the fried fish with three sides and was quoted a 20-minute wait. Since the space is on the smaller side, I chose to wait in my car. Twenty minutes later, I came back in and was told it would be another 20 minutes, and that they'd bring my order out to me. After no one came out, I went back inside to find the restaurant had completely cleared out, and my food still wasn't ready. They apologized and offered a complimentary drink, which was a nice gesture, but I ended up waiting nearly an hour and a half for fish and three sides. That's simply not acceptable, regardless of how busy it gets. I get it, a rush happens. But transparency goes a long way. Had I been given an honest wait time upfront, I would have made a different decision. I truly want to see Black businesses thrive, especially right now, and I hope they take this feedback to heart and work out the kinks.

Our group ordered via the phone for a carryout for lunch - I had: +the Seafood Fries - this had Old Bay-seasoned fries, topped with shrimp, fried salmon bites, and lump crab meat, dressed in a remoulade sauce; you can opt for cajun or bang bang seasoning, in which I went for the cajun. This was pretty tasty, albeit slightly more on the saltier end. The shrimp was large and well-battered, and the seasoning was definitely present! The salmon bites were okay - large generous chunks, but I think they did overfried it, so it was more on the dry end. Could have had more lump crab meat, as this was very scarce. Others had the subs, the veggie bowls, and sandwiches, and they were all fans. The only issue was that they did not include any condiments, specifically cocktail sauce that was requested, and a couple of items were missing from the order. I remember this place used to be to be a hibachi carry out of some sort not too long ago. However I've been seeing their fried rice online and it grabbed my attention because of the veggies and the dark color it had. It reminded me of how the fried rice from the Chinese carry out used to be in the 90's early 2000's. For some reason nowadays when you order fried rice , there tends to be nothing inside of it besides onions and bean sprouts. What happened to the peas and carrots!!!!! I entered the store on a Friday night--which had only 1 customer who was waiting on her order. I walked to the register and was greeted with a smile from a polite young lady. I ordered the fried shrimp with shrimp fried rice, which is actually one of their combos. I believe it was $11.99/$12.99 something like that, but you get 6 shrimp or you can get 12. They have a nice amount of t of seating available if you want to dine in, I believe they have a restroom for customers available as well. The store appeared clean as well as the parking lot. The food came out quickly, cashier showed it to me before bagging ,it which was cool. Everything looked great. The shrimp were jumbo, I highly doubt you need 12 pieces unless you have a large appetite. The shrimp were lightly coated, not panko breaded. Cooked to perfection and perfectly golden brown. The rice was tasty-I did add one packet of soy sauce and that was all I needed. The food stayed hot for a very long time, and my shrimp didn't get soggy before I arrived at my destination. I will return and try something different the next time. Give this spot a try, I think they need a little bit of Yelp help....

Y'all, Chinese food in the District Heights/Forestville area hasn't tasted this good since the 90's. My combo meal cost around 15 bucks, and it included a yellow drink. I won't call it lemonade, because it was old-school lemon-flavor Kool-Aid. It was sooo good, and if you put it in the freezer and added Henny, it would make a great evening. I will be back!
