The place is never too busy when we go so I like that! For the Water's Edge Restaurant, I'd recommend the Fish & Chips or the tacos. Fish & Chips are always a good portion size and tastes good as well! Poutine is kind of on the salty side. For the Water's Edge Buffet, we recently tried it a couple times recently. If you're a member and you play first, the buffet is ~$15. It's not a huge selection or anything special but great for the price. Offerings include a salad bar, pizza, a large selection of fruits & desserts, soft-serve ice cream, hand-carved ham station, and cooked foods such as cod, BBQ pork, lasagna, etc. Would not recommend going on Saturdays as there will most likely be a line up.

We visited at Christmas and had the plates holiday special with turkey and the fixings. Massive portions for a deal at $27. Food was great with non-dry turkey and plenty of yummy red cabbage. The menu is otherwise typical North American with bar-style fare and features a NY steak dinner for $36. Nice!

I was there on his first night on a June evening, and the service was excellent. Timely, waiter kept checking in, etc. Fast forward to July 24th....the service wasn't bad, but noticeably slower. And very unfortunately, the new manager has kept the ridiculous $24 "pre charge". What is this, you might ask? Well, people are expected to pay $24 when they arrive, and whatever they don't spend is allegedly returned to their account (?!). If you're confused, you're not the only one. I saw many people walk away from what could have been a lovely evening for them, and a profitable evening for the patio. Also, please note that this "pre charge" or whatever it is is NOT a cover charge to see the bands that play there. The bands do not see any of that money. This is is a charge by the patio for the privilege of eating/drinking there. I encourage anyone else who may feel the same way about this charge to let the manager know. He is a nice and very straightforward person.
