Well. The website says open till 9pm. When we pulled up to park this evening, we were told they were closing at 8pm. Out of luck. The closing time is dependent on the number of patrons. Another time? Maybe not. Not able to rate as a result. read more

I had lunch today at Jim's Pizza and Pasta in Peterborough. I love love love pizza and ordered a small pizza with pepperoni, bacon and fresh tomatoes. It was a good pizza. It was quite big for a small pizza but I was hungry (I hadn't had breakfast) and ate it all. The sauce was good ... I thought I detected a bit of cinnamon. The girl who answers the phone when you go to Oder a pizza thinks she's very funny meanwhile she just flat out rude and told me that that customer is usually wrong. Well I'm sorry that's not how it works in customer service you show your respect to the customers no matter the feed back and her sarcasm was not appreciated. The owner is a great person and does not deserve the workers she has. read more

Spent some time in Peterborough for work, and came across Jim's Pizzeria in the downtown area (side note...I was actually very impressed of the variety and quality of restaurant options in the Peterborough area; however that's another discussion for another day) I've tried the lasagna, and have to say it was fairly decent..... They have the most AMAZING caesar salad; very large portion with delicious real pieces of bacon and croutons:)....this is there star of the show!!!! Try the garlic cheese bread with it;) read more

Ordered Tortellini alfredo last night and they delivered spaghetti. Have never in my life ordered spag. I did not even know al fredo was served with spag. Especially not for $30. The first person I spoke with about the issue was amenable but was transferred me to Theresa. She had no idea what to do and acted like this had never happened before. Then she had the brilliant idea that I send the spaghetti back and then they will get the tortellini to me. Nope. Too hungry to wait 90 minutes for delivery. Ate the horrible spaghetti anyways with its burnt broccoli. Hard to believe that was not their first day in the biz. read more

Shady neighborhood but pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. It was clean, well decorated, and small. The owner/server was nice and the food came out relatively quickly. Buffalo Wings (Hot) - good! Very saucy and slightly tangy. Kind of on the small side but I got a dozen to start so it's okay. Pizza - 14' was big enough to split for 3 people. It was good and there was a good proportion if each topping. The meatballs are beef only as well! I will come back and try some of their pasta.. Or just more pizza! read more

What a lovely restaurant! We arrived Sunday night without a reservation but were the only ones in the place. We feel it is under appreciated. Excellent deal on XL pizza Sunday special. $50 including tip! Ordered Large Caesar salad to go with it. It was more than enough to feed our family of 3. Their Caesar salad is the best I've had in the City. Very flavourful garlicky sauce (with anchovy undertones), tender leaves, large flakes of Parmesan, and real bacon. Pizza was solid too with tender crust, super stringy cheese. Service was friendly and gracious. Server anticipated all our questions and needs. Hardly needed to ask for anything. The pizza we had was okay, but the truth is whatever toppings one might put on it, the crust, alas, is really third-rate. Not like an Italian pizza crust - more like frozen supermarket pizza crust. It's really a shame, and it kind of ruins the experience. I ate a few slices, but leftovers are in my fridge, and I have yet to give them another glance. Pizza is amazing, and I love the salad bar! If you don't want to get pizza, there are other options. It's impossible to find salad bars any more, so well done. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Peterborough, with the exception, possibly, of Smitty's! read more

Not the best pizza in Peterborough but certainly not the worst. A lovely dining area, well appointed and very clean. They don't seem to dispose of their outside Christmas decorations until May! A major, real drawback are the servers and the overall experience. Our server came across as almost hostile to my young son. It was like she was socially challenged to the rest of us. At the time, we were the only customers in sight. A smile and a bit of chit chat goes a long way. We had to almost beg for drink refills. This place is ok, but an annual visit is more than enough. read more

My wife and I have been going to Jim's for years now. Among the best pizza and pasta. The best caesar salad. And, the best service. Take out or eat in. You can't go wrong! read more

Solid pizza. Only ever had delivery but look forward to it when we come to town for a visit.

Food was alright, nothing special. Place is nice and clean but the server we had seemed bored and uninterested in us. Kind of bummed us out. Might give this place another try in the future and see how it goes. read more

I've had a few pizzas from here, and while I liked them at first, I soon grew tired of the heavy cheese, boring crust and generally doughy feel. So then I tried the wings which were great but then they changed to a different kind of wings, a kind that weren't crispy any more and with meat that was soft and mushy. They're pretty expensive, so I tried to return them. I was told by the owner/manager, too bad, that's just the way they are now. Clearly the customer's opinion doesn't count here for much at Jim's. Great food served fast, and relatively inexpensive. Good selection of food. Several ingredients available for pizza not available in other places, and some you don't find in Toronto. The sub that my husband and I shared had the toppings on both halves of the loaf, divided into six pieces, served I think on white bread that tasted a little like garlic bread. Definitely coming here again after arriving from the bus terminal or before leaving for home in Peteroborough. read more
