One time we did have a waitress who seemed preoccupied and forgot to bring our drink order, but that seemed to be an isolated incident. We really like their Chicken Parmesan which is smothered in cheese...we thought it was a pizza the first time we ordered it. LOL Their patio is nice with a good view of the Trent river and boating traffic. They offer a take-out menu as well and we've picked it up several times and it's just as good as dine-in. We'll definitely be back many more times.

Maybe it's too much to expect Toronto quality Italian food in Trenton, but everything from the tomato sauce in the lasagna (way too acidic), ho hum aglio olio for the California fettucine and lack of simple garden salad (what kind of Italian place only serves Caesar salad or Greek salad?) just didn't do it for me. My fettucine was undercooked (not even close to being al dente), the chicken breast was dry and the overall seasoning was weak. Even with the addition of giant slivers of Parmaggiano didn't do much to elevate the dish. I would have sent the dish back if we weren't in a rush to finish our meal and get back on the road. The Margherita pizza was the best part of this dinner sadly. I'm not sure if we'll be back in Trenton again any time soon, but I will be looking for other options than Tomasso's.

When I arrived, the restaurant was absolutely bustling, but the lady who helped me with our order was in such high spirits and was incredibly friendly. Even with how busy they were, she was so welcoming and made the pickup experience great. For my meal, I ordered the Creamy Pesto with Chicken, and I absolutely loved it. The sauce wasn't overly oily, had a nice, light basil flavour, and I really appreciated that they included Parmesan on the side so I could add as much as I wanted. My wife ordered the Spaghetti Primavera and really enjoyed it as well. She especially loved the goat cheese, which added a great flavour to the dish. The pasta here is definitely high quality. You can tell some care goes into it, and both of our mains were delicious. We also ordered the Arancini, which were just okay. We've had much better elsewhere, so they weren't really a highlight of the meal. The pasta, however, was excellent. We're definitely interested in coming back, hopefully on a nicer day so we can actually sit on the patio with the dogs, try more of the menu, and take in the views from the upper patio. I arrived a little before 5:00 to pick up and found out that the internet was down all day at the restaurant, they hadn't got my order. however without even looking at my online receipt, I was believed and offered an apology and they said they would make my pizzas then and there, and by way of further apology they offered a choice of salad to add to the order free of charge. I might add it was pretty busy at the time. there were plenty of deliveries being picked up by delivery guys as well. I waited the 20 min and noted that the staff were very friendly to the patrons, some of whom seemed to be regulars too. I got the pizzas which were great and enjoyed by all. so thanks to the original spaghetti house , we will be back.
