Love "small" Target as we call it in Woodbury. They have the essentials for a quick stop. Biggest downfall: lack of cashiers, probably use the self check out every time. They only have 2-3 lanes open during busy times and it makes for long lines if you want to wait. We use Target for everything so I'll be back. read more

6/2/22: Overall 3.5 stars. This Super Target has a grocery store and everything was well stocked. First, I'll start with the pros: they provide sanitizing wipes for the carts and they weren't empty! We found everything we needed. It's convenient. Our primary reasons for stopping by Target are whenever we need a quick snack stock up whenever we're out of town. The bathrooms were decent too. And I like how they have the self-checkout station to ring yourself up. The negatives are that the computer scanned not only one, but two items, at a higher price! I caught the errors. The worker who mans the self-checkout area corrected one price, but because I couldn't remember the shelf price of the second item, I just removed it. Another negative is that in order to use your employee discount (we were visiting with an employee who was buying stuff, but he forgot his red card and didn't have cash), you can only pay with the red card, gift card or cash. I like using a different credit card for points. Next time, I'll buy a gift card ahead of time to get credit card points, then pay with a gift card. I hate using cash, but thankfully we had on hand. Overall, it's your standard, run of the mill, same Target across the country. And I love the Good & Gather bars and snack brand, so I'll round up my 3.5 star rating to a 4 stars. But Target, you gotta do better about not overcharging customers. Most people wouldn't catch the incorrect price scan, but nothin' gets past this Yelper! I think two incorrect scans in a small order is pretty bad. Whenever we come into town, we'll stock up on Good & Gather snacks here! read more

Had an incredibly disappointing experience at target off Valley Creek! I am a high trafficking customer to this location. I have to say my cashier was absolutely amazing. On Sunday, May 12 I came in at 9:15 to do some very extensive shopping and spent over $300 at target as I was getting ready to head to Istanbul, getting food for my family for my time I was gonna be gone, picked up some travel, gear, etc. Was closing at 10 and once I heard the final call saying please bring your things to the front we are closing, I was already at the register getting checked out. Because of the amount of things I had, I wasn't able to leave until 1010 once I finish checking out $300 worth of products. I run out to my car to grab a few hundred dollars worth of gift cards that I had to spend, and the management said, " we want to get out of here. That means I have to unlock the door to let you out so you can go out to get your gift cards and come back in. I'm sorry we're not going to do that." I have worked retail, and I'm fully aware of the people that are shopping right up till the end, but all I had to do was grab my gift cards and Craig costing another couple of minutes all at once. I've been in the situation before, and I said to my customers in the past that it would be no problem as long as it was only a few minutes. But both managers that were working at the end made me feel like I was not welcome even though I honored the time by showing up at the register to close out at 10. So disappointing as target is one of my places that I love to shop at, but when I don't feel welcome, that's not the way target should make me feel when I am a pain customer. Again, I understand that I was the last person in the store, but as someone who has done a retail in the past, it's the nature of it. In your customer should not feel like they are burdening. The cashier was actually embarrassed. I'm going to say it again he was outstanding, and he even apologized on behalf of the management. This night was May 12. Whoever the closing cashier was, he was a gentleman, was outstanding. Give him a raise. However, the older blonde woman manager, and the Latino manager, both made me feel like I was not a worthy customer, even though I rolled out of there at 10:10 when it was all said and done, I would have a a strong conversation with them. This Target doesn't have the best ratings, however I frequent here a lot and it is always super clean and all the employees are super helpful. Pricing is very reasonable for high quality items and service. The parking lot is enormous and can always find a spot. It is pretty heavy with traffic at most times. read more

Solid location for Target. Well organized and neat for sure. The smaller spaces allow you to navigate securely without feeling smushed. Quality product, shelves were stocked with multiples, I didn't see any bare shelves with product around it. Signage was visible and easy to find (sometimes its hard to navigate a new Target because they're designed differently) Quiet location, which was shocking with it being in a popular area sharing space with other popular brands. The space looked newly renovated, displays were well kept. Staff weren't friendly, most were talking with each other even when customers were present, looking for help. I'd come here because it's Target not to look for someone to help me during my shopping experience. Staff may have been focused on closing as my visit was 30 mins before close. They had some TP, I could only get one of the Quilted Northern. A 2 limit would be nicer if you have to buy for someone else and keep more people home. Their iceberg lettuce was crap, but I got 2 lemons from the produce section. I was able to get cube kleenix. There were actually people to help and direct you. I found a cute baby gift too. Notice a few items aren't priced like the things on the outer aisles. Most people are doing self check-out. One open. It's right near the bathrooms. I agree with Kim about the placement of items near the entrance including the bathroom. read more

HORRIBLE. Got treated with so much disrespect. A worker there treated myself and my friends awful. Told us that "Target doesn't like groups of people"... there was 6 of us. Called security on us for shopping, never going back there again. No one has ever been that rude to me. Not a good experience at all! Arrived to Minnesota. Haven't been here in years. Sure is different! Went to get a few supplies. It's near closing time. We needed one more item. My wife is waiting in line. I ran back to get something (she's still in a line). It's 10:02 and someone stood in front of me and said the store is closed. He stalked me all the way back to the line. This ISN'T the Target I remember when I used to live here before. Not a customer friendly store. Maybe it's a different generation & when they say they close at 10:00. This Target has had awful grocery restocking history for years. It is amazing they do NOTHING to fix this. The shelves in refrigerated deli section at entrance look dirty, half-empty and uninviting. Almost as if they are trying to not have people's repeat business. Same goes for chillers with Deli and cheese, like a tornado went through them. Frozen items suffer similar fate, especially Target owned brand stations which are often EMPTY and not restocked for days! The manager of this store would not work there much longer, if I had a say. read more

The staff has always been friendly. But, rarely are the shelves stocked. It's very frustrating! I thought after the renovation there would be an improvement. It seems it's gotten worse. They get high marks because they put the pharmacy, healthcare and food aisles right near the entrance. Those are the things I am most likely looking for when I walk in. The shelves are usually well stocked and the store is clean. They lose points for having so few registers open in the middle of the day. Usually only 2 and the self check. And for some reason, this target seems to be a prime spot to come during the lunch hour so there is always a line waiting to check out. There is no quick in and out here (90% of the time). There have been a few times I was looking for something in the ladies clothing department, something basic like a sweatshirt and there was virtually no selection! Their clothing department is pretty darn anemic! Head over to the super target on the east side of woodbury. Way more to choose from and a nice large full grocery. read more

Just left the valley creek Target. Target is based out of the twin cities and yet the shelves were half empty. I am not sure how this is possible but this is the second time I have gone into a Target that was half empty. When you grow up in Minnesota you become a bit of a Target snob. The one thing that I have learned from visiting Targets all over the place is that you can always tell what a town is like by visiting the local Target. The Woodbury Target is in desperate need of a makeover. The aisles are super narrow, the place is kind of dark and I actually walked by a couple of sections I was looking for without even seeing them. The customers were all parents with teenagers, overweight people on motorized scooters or late 20-something couples stuck in Woodbury for whatever reason. It's a place I didn't mind being in but in that I-don't-actually-HAVE-to-shop-here kind of way. It's like kids - I like them a lot but only if they go home with someone else at the end of the day. If this were "my" Target I'd probably start shopping at Walmart. I think the invention of the Super Target has spoiled me for life. Beware! If you place an online order at Target using Pay Pal, and need to cancel (part of the order wasn't available even though inventory said it was)-you will not get a refund to Pay Pal-only an e gift card so you have to then shop at Target even though they didn't have all the items you ordered. Apparently in some small type someplace on their Web site I should have seen that there is a policy "no money back" with Pay Pal-just come shop for things we don't have. This complaint isn't for one particular store, but general Target policy. I just happened to order online from the Woodbury store. read more

In the homeland of Targets, this Target suits me just fine. Good selection and helpful employees are about all this Target girl can ask for. We spent some time in the electronics selection spending Christmas money with my brothers. The guy who helped us was accommodating and rung everyone up even if they weren't buying DVDs or Wii games. Be careful looking at the digital cameras at the counters. The sensors are VERY sensitive. My brother's girlfriend set one off and a series of continuous sensors beeped and dinged for the next five minutes, every time someone touched a camera. Poor guy kept trying to turn them off. Gave us all a laugh. read more

Has to be the worst target I've ever been to. Never enough casheirs, and self check outs are never working. Staff is never around and never helpful. It sealed the deal when I made the terrible mistake of moving my pharmacy from fridley to this location. It took them about 2 weeks to figure out the process(not sure why it would be a process at all, I mean they are both targets??) They then wouldn't fill my prescription twice because some Information wasn't cleared up on their end. It didn't help that the lady who seems to be in charge is a bitter whale with an attitude. After that I was done. Moved to a new pharmacy and department store. read more

Ugh! I love target, but most recently I visited North St Paul Target around 7:30pm, and the lines were it of control! I doubt they are always that busy on a weekday evening, but they were hopping. There were like 3 cashiers! And then all Targets always have that one person who stands with a walk or talkie doing absolutely nothing. She kept calling for back up on cashier led and nobody came! Then she just stood there watching all of us get frustrated with it taking so long. Next time help your team!! Also when we were shopping, there were lots of employees walking around having way too personal of conversations in public on the clock. This Target is so going downhill! read more

This store is a typical Target except it seems to be lacking in some ways. The store doesn't ever seem to be very busy, especially after the new Target opened. I normally LOVE Target but we moved to this area about a year ago and I have to say that I HATE this Target!! No matter what day of the week or time of the day I go there are bare shelves in every department and what is on the shelf is all messed up. I fell like I just missed Black Friday every time I go! I have not once in the year that I have been in the area been able to go to this Target and come out with everything on my list. I normally leave Target with everything on my list and then some:).....NOT HERE...so frustrating!! Only reason I ever go here is because of the extra time it would take to drive to one of the other nearby locations. I used to LOVE my weekly Target run and now I dread it! BOO! read more

I avoid this Target at all costs. It is pretty much just down the road from me, but I drive miles out of my way so I don't have to deal with the people...the ones that work there, and the ones that shop there. I know customer service, and I rarely get any at this place; I don't mean bow down to me, or gush about how wonderful it is to see me, but really...could you say hi maybe? Possibly say thank you after I hand over all my money? I know it's not really effective to drive to another Target to give THEM the money, but I can't handle the chaos of K Mart or Wal-Mart, so what's a girl to do? Okay, first for the pharmacy. They are rude, condescending, ignorant, and act as if we are an inconvenience to them. I've personally been a fan of Target, (since it is a homegrown staple in our communities) but this location falls way short of expectations. They are understaffed and take very little pride in their appearance, or customer service. If you need to go to a Target, my advice is to travel a few more miles to get better all around service. read more

My experiences at this Target has always been good. It's definitely very busy now that there are more stores around the area (Byerly's, DQ, etc). The parking lot is almost always full and trying to navigate it can be tricky. They are very knowledgeable about their coupon system, and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The aisles are wide and the store is clean and bright. I don't like that the pharmacy and items that you find in that area is tucked away into a corner. I kept forgetting that the medicines/chapsticks etc were over there. I've never really tried the dressing room but would like to try it next time; my experiences at other dressing rooms have been sad. Hoping this store would be better. read more

So 30 mins ago I spent almost $200 here. I made it thro the whole store trying not to be "hyper sensitive" about feeling my brown skin because has become such a joke if you even utter the words "racist" But why is it the white boy at the front(tryin to seem important) watched and followed me to my lane as soon as he noticed me and I had water at the bottom of my cart. I went to the lane and made sure she she rang my water up right away (so quick that he didnt notice ) why did this guy come all EXTRA loud and say "did you ring that water up" I answered so quick before she could because I was ready. He made aure he said it loud to draw attention in case the answer was NO he cld embarass me. But why wld you think im gonna steal water .full cart walking in store to find a lane to go down???Out of alllll the people in the store..before I even made it to the line !!! I didnt make eye contact with anyone or look around to see who was watching me like I usually do. Because Target is known for racist employees not just here but alot of places. I actually saw him follow me and make his way around. Now if I react I will be playing the race card so instead I dont show how furious I am. But inside it makes me feel like even worse because its all a trap .....I cant even call it out because its viewed as though it seriously doesnt happen. I calmly asked the girl if that is what he does all day is follow people around and ask if things have been paid for ....her response was "No never " My mother is white ..Im the one that used to say I dont see it that much ...but now for the last few years I have seen so much that I can in no way deny it. Now I am the girl who will never move to Woodbury or Oakdale. This was not my imagination nor did I snap. And as you can see Im not playing the angry black girl role.
