I frequently pick up at targets around the Long island area. Farmingdale, Islip and Freeport. The pickup systems in place for these targets are executed to perfection. I place my order at target.com and 2 hours later I show up and pick up. There is a designated associate at the pickup counter. I give the associate my order number and ID. A few minutes later my order is handed to me and I can go on about my life. Unfortunately that is not the case at the Westbury target. Also the closest target to me. Soon as you walk in to Westbury pickup area there is no one at the pick up counter. Unlike the other targets I just mentioned with a dedicated team member there to greet you. Westbury greets you with confusion. The guest has no idea how to initiate the process. Most of the time i'm waiting 10 minutes before someone asks "have you been helped?" When that doesn't happen I start randomly asking employees "is this where I pick up?" To see if someone will help. Pickup employees are running around with there scanners, I guess attending to the cars parked outside in the pickup area. The problem is guests picking up inside see them as pickup associates. When they walk right by us and dont say a word or help us, we feel even more confused. Why not do what all the other targets in the area do? Why not have a dedicated team member who doesn't leave the area and attends to people picking up inside? Today 1/1 at around 1:15pm there were about 5 people waiting to be helped. About 4 pickup employees running around and ignoring everyone on the line. One of them finally says "I think he needs help" Then proceeds to stare at her scanner and walk away. This is unacceptable. Is there a GM at this location? Is there a manager dedicated to ensuring pickup systems are trained and being executed? Do these associates need to be retrained? Please do something about this. read more

Jamol went above and beyond to assist me in finding the items I needed. He made sure my shopping experience was quick and easy

I love this target! It's my favorite :) The new renovations gave it a more modern look, I'm still getting use to where everything is but I still enjoy each and ever shopping experience here. read more

So I hate Target at a conceptual level because of what they've done to their employees in some locations. Hopefully it wasn't ever in this area. This store doesn't have a Starbucks, or any concession selling any kind of sustenance . I was last fere just after Thanksgiving and the bathrooms were closed then, and they are still closed now in mid-February. ..SMH. The aisles are incredibly narrow, and then in order that makes no fucking sense. I tried to find three different things that I needed, and could only locate one -- a new k-cup compatible brewer....and the cheapest of them was $18 more expensive then what I paid for it at BedBath&Beyond half-an-hour later. WEAK. read more

It's always crowded, speaking in terms of inventory placement. There's always inventory carts everywhere. Ive had trouble with this target when it comes to selfcheckout and recieving gift cards that are given as a deal when you buy a certain about of things. 5 times, my gift cards had nothing loaded on them, even tho the receipts said they did when orginally receiving them. The cashiers are even worse, bc you literally had to monitor their scans bc they will double scan, then have the nerve to get annoyed when you bring it to their attention. In one transaction i had 4 items double scanned, cashier had the nerve to roll her eyes at me when i said "you double scanned that too". read more

Don't get the Target fascination. If a specific item is on sale and in stock, that's great. With kids...they clamor to visit toy department. Overpriced and with some very poor selections for the most part. Prices are often missing, go to check on at kiosk, doesn't work. Now to find a salesperson. Staff friendly. That's good! read more

You dont tell Target what you need, Target tells you what you need. Cant tell you how many times I go for milk and q-tips and end up leaving with a full cart $187 later. They just renovated this location, took a little getting used to the new layout but I think it's an improvement. There really isn't anything bad about this place; clean store, friendly and helpful staff, always fully stocked, clean bathrooms, good Starbucks, big parking lot, fresh produce, the list goes on. My only complaint is that its always busy but that's not really a fair complaint. I just dont like long lines. read more

Very disappointed with how this location has evolved over the years. Everything is locked up behind glass with a call button to alert a worker. It's very sad that I can't browse products and read the ingredients lists on them without having to flag down the staff. This is a very high volume location so I do not blame the employees for being unavailable for this nonsense. read more

This store has been progressively getting worse. Things are always out of stock. The service here is abysmal. I was waiting at the electronics counter, the worker ended up helping some guy out just because he skipped the line and was pushy. I would rather order things from Amazon than waste a trip here to find out they're out of stock or have to deal with their crappy employees. read more

This store is a disgrace. It's 8:30 am Sunday and 2 dark skinned female employees are in their bras changing into cloths with tags on them in the bathroom. The bathroom should be clean at this time. All the toilets were dirty with urine, toilet tissue, feces, and blood. What's funny is that someone pretended to have just cleaned the bathroom with a wet floor sign. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!'And the new girl at Starbucks had her braids hanging over and hitting all the cups. read more

Target has made some new renovations. They improved on there spacing and items are more organized. I'm guessing that was the goal. Plenty of winter clothing items on sale or clearance. Same store few changes. No fear Starbucks is still in there. New parking for online pick orders. Still my go to store to hangout and overspend! read more

Target - Bottle machines to help save the environment! Too bad they are full!!! - Department Stores Near Me - Westbury, New York

I liked this location better before the remodel. I'm still not sure where things are, but it's growing on me. The customer service did improve. Before there were times when you would go to a section and you would have to wait for someone to get there, now the assistance is more ready available. I'm giving this location 3 stars for aesthetic reasons. Before the remodel Target had an Elegance to it. Now it looks more like a warehouse. read more

Tar-Jhay- The chain of stores from France... This location has been open for some time now and it is usually my favorite. It is not as convenient as the Tar-jhay in Broadway mall, but it just seems to have more stuff - not sure if that is just a perception or what. What is does have more of however is people shopping there. Rude people for the most part so I avoid this location on weekends. Monday night seems to work pretty well. Anyway, they have all kinds of stuff from milk to garden furniture at pretty reasonable prices... Big parking field. read more

Normally I really like Target, but this location needs to work on the produce section. Maybe it's due to hot summer and a temporary issue, but a lot of the fresh berries and cherries in the refrigerated section had mold on them. Otherwise a standard Target, which is a good thing. Lots of convenient self-service kiosks read more

Target used to be my go-to store. I loved everything about it! The clothing was cute, the store was thoughtfully laid out and I loved having a Starbucks in store as a little mommies pickup. But then someone decided that the store needed a complete 1980's cheap department store overhaul. The layout now makes no sense. Random things in random places. Half the inventory they once had. Narrow "aisles" that your cart can't fit down. Employee stocking carts blocking the narrow passages. The adult clothing selection now is limited. Kids and baby clothing, limited. Shoes, spread out in different sections, limited. Weird kiosks randomly placed around. Everytime I see one, I have to avoid it with my cart and my toddler with grabby hands. Additionally I have PTSD from mall department store shopping days and I expect a woman with thick caked on makeup to jump out at me and spray me down with horrid perfume. TL;DR You won't find me in Target these days. Gone are the endless school drop-off Target spending sprees with my coffee in hand. (Maybe not a bad thing...) The only store that I still visit, hasn't been hit with the renovation stick. I'm sure it won't last forever and when it changes over, I'm done. Sorry Tar-je. read more

This is for the optical center. They need people who know what they are doing. Went in last week as a walk-in but they didn't have an opening. No issues there. Asked if they take our insurance and they said yes so we set an appointment for today. Went in, gave the lady my insurance card and filled in all the paperwork. She takes the paperwork and enters it all in the computer. Takes about 20 minutes then asks the other gentleman there, "they have [so and so] insurance. We don't take that right?" The guy says "we've never taken that insurance". Are you sh*tting me? You could've told me that last week or when I gave you insurance card when we first came in. Such a waste of time. Don't talk to the lady there. She knows nothing. Should've just talked to the guy who knew a but more. Please hire knowledgeable staff! read more

I like Target for many reasons. Cheap prices. Well curated items. And whoa, now produce too? No way... So yea, this Target now sells produce and lots and lots of refrigerated items. Yes, a Target Supermarket. I was able to pick up some fresh strawberries, a nice veggie mix and some beautiful baby peppers. Wow oh wow. Oh yea, I also got some really cool rainbow coloured tube socks for only $1.25 a pair! Whoa that is a steal... Fun times for the whole family lol. Sigh, I am such a loser. read more

I've been to Target stores in all corners of the country, and this location comes dangerously close to being a Walmart. Let's go down the list: -unruly, screaming children -crowded, cluttered aisles -not very clean inside (and hot and stuffy to boot) -very understaffed and a complete lack of "customer service" (apathetic and incompetent "associates") -lines that move at a snails pace even when it's not that busy -really not that large and not that great of a selection of merchandise (some areas left depleted) If you don't go here expecting a Target experience, it makes for a decent Walmart (although I didn't check to see if they had guns and ammo in stock) read more

To me this Target is not like other standard Target that I've been to across the country. The foot print for this store seems larger than some of the others I've been to. The main difference I've noticed is that the entry is on the left side (from the front) of the store, not the right as most I've been to. This to me is sort of strange because I'm used to going in a clock wise route not a counter clockwise route. The foodstuff is on the left side where as I'm used to usually seeing it on the right side... basically it's like being in a "Bizarro" Target. The check out lines here seem to be fast and the lines when we went were not long at all. This Target seemed to be really clean and organized. Displays were very orderly, the clothes were neat and not taken out and out of order (like the t shirt displays showing the front of the shirts). Some of the aisles seemed to be wider than I'm used to seeing as well. Overall this is one of the nicer Targets I've seen and been to probably only 2nd to the one in Asheville, NC. read more

Target - one of the cleanest and most organized Targets I've ever seen - Department Stores Near Me - Westbury, New York

This is one of the nicer Targets I've been to in NY. Very large grocery section compared to the ones we frequent most, Drive Up, dedicated order pickup section, big parking lot. We went there for a quick trip, primarily looking for something they didn't end up carrying, but the store looked like it would be an enjoyable shopping experience if we had more time to browse. read more

Pretty huge Target compared to the Target we usually go to in Queens. I came in here for an online order pickup. I ordered Wahl hair clippers. The one I wanted wasn't available for delivery and wasn't in stock in many of the other nearby targets. Luckily that specific clipper was available only at the this Target and the one in Levittown. What surprised me was the price. These where elite pro clippers. They're usually usually $50 and up and now with the pandemic, I see these running for $85 and up on amazon and various sites. It was only $38 at Target. After I picked up the clippers, we went around the store and picked up a few other items for our kids. The store was very well organized. Everybody social distanced and wore mask. Checkout lines were quick and short, plenty of cash registers opened too. Job well done! read more

I read the previous reviews about the isles being too narrow and items being arranged wrong. That's all due to the remodeling they went through. Disregard all of that. This is by far my favorite Target location. I have been coming here for the past 10 years! They recently remodeled and everything is almost finished. Also, they're open until 12 AM! Their new home decor section has gotten vamped up and is so aesthetically pleasing! They have Employees always happy to assist when you need them. They have two self checkout sections with about 12 checkout sections in each. They also have a Starbucks that's always open ! The bathrooms are all usually clean, no complaints there. It's located right near the Roosevelt Field mall but also opposite of Walmart, very near other shopping center. I visit this location at least once a week. If you'd like to save on some money, use the cart wheel app before shopping. It tells you if there's a coupon available for an item you're going to pick up. They are always stocked up on any item you may be looking for. If not, just ask someone, they'd be happy to check their back room. They have new features such as online pick up that's conveniently located right by the entrance. read more

Generally clean & well-stocked Target on the other side of the highway from Roosevelt Field Mall. Always chock full of sale items...and not just on obscure stuff you don't ever use. Free-standing store with its own sizeable parking lot and with access from 2 roads. A convenient place to get many household items. Also in close proximity to several other stores we frequent. We prefer it to the other Target stores within close proximity to our town. read more

Target - Grocery section - Department Stores Near Me - Westbury, New York

It's a Target. Just like your standard run of the mill location. They arrange their items contrary to your typical Target layout (electronics on the right, groceries on the left). I also saw NO employees in the video games section and we were looking at a PS3. Oh, and OPEN SOME EXPRESS LINES!!!!!!!! We had to stand behind lines of people with cartloads of items while we had 2 things. In fact, we had to go to 3 lines before getting competent and speedy service. Points to our cashier for not standing around chatting with co-workers & actually ENCOURAGING us to go to her register. Talk about discouraging people from going to your store. Not everyone's buying for a family of 300! It makes one want to shoplift or leave the items in the wrong place in disgust. read more

I was jet standing outside the building when I thought to myself, wow... this place is huge! There is a huge assortment of EVERYTHING, including a food market at decent prices. This place reminds me of the old EJ Korvettes and their attempt to have one store capture everything you need to set up and live in either a house or apartment. Their staff is generally very friendly and helpful, if you can find an actual person who is not working on one of the 25 check-out lines. This is a good place to come for some one-stop shopping but I suggest you do not do this on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. read more

This place is humongous!!! It can be overwhelming. It looks as if it could be a super-center Target but I'm not sure. I walked half the store and just couldn't take it anymore. They have everything. They have great deals, a lot of items are half off or reduced. That's awesome but I find myself buying more things when I see a sale, lol. I recommend this place to everyone. This is my new go to spot instead of Walmart (it is way too ratchet!!!) read more

You can get anything and everything at Target. I always buy more than what I went there for. You can get awesome deals at Target if you just look for the sales. I spent $15 the other day on certain cleaning products and received a $5 Target Gift Card in return! SWEET! I bring my plastic shopping bags for recycling. They have big bins at the entrance of their store. read more

On May 9th my sister-in-law and visited this location in Westbury. All I have to say is I was highly disappointed with the security that night. He could have handled the situation differently but didn't. Maybe he was frustrated? Maybe he was tired and wanted to go home because the store was closing? But there's NO excuse to talk to customers the way he did...oh and by the way he called the cops on a young lady behind me because she got off the line to exchange an item. He said and I quote, "If you don't get back on line then I will force you out the store!" The lady ahead of me left the line twice and wasn't asked to leave...unbelievable. Not professional at all. They need to get it together. read more

At least TWICE this year I've picked up Cat food that was ROTTEN!! the store is large and well ventilated, so I didn't realize anything was wrong until I got home and the smell became intolerable. I did not return the items due to not wanting the car to smell or become maggot infested Brands were Sheba (twice), still waiting for the coupon from them for replacement and most recently IAMS. Wondering if stock people should maybe be re-trained on how to correctly open cases? with such Limited stock due to shortages, one would think there would be time to check.....I've spent over $30.00 on cat food that went from store DIRECTLY into the trash read more

I came here hungry. BIG mistake. The shelves may have been full when I arrived, but they are empty now! Just kidding. But, I really did buy a lot of stuff. Let's start with the basics: Brita filter: $7 Because no one wants lead in their water. Black stockings: $8 for 2-pair They ALWAYS run out of my size at the targets in NYC! Sparkly nail polish: $8 Necessity. Plain and simple. White sandals: $30 Wow. I sound like a girly girl. Yoga pants: $15 Because I'm going to need to work out after buying all this food... Everything that I wanted to buy in the food aisles seemed to be on sale? Score! The very last V8 light was slightly dented on the side. Still delicious. The only negative was the lady at the dressing room. She runs a tight ship. "6 items at a time. Let me count them. The cart stays out here. Bring the items back on the hangers, and promptly return your item number cards as you exit." I had to resist saluting her as I headed in to try things on. All the same, this was a great Target and I would be willing to drive out of my way for the privilege to come back. read more

My all time favorite place to go, TARGET! I can get lost in here. Come in for 1-2 things and walk out with a cart full of stuff. Never fails, I swear. I try to avoid going as much as possible, but it's always calling my name. This location is huge. [yes!] They've been undergoing renovations for a while now! The aisles are so narrow and everything is hard to find. I'm hoping they speed it up and get things back to normal. I especially miss my Starbucks! Can't wait to see what it looks like when they finish remodeling. read more

Huge target. Plenty of outdoor parking. They are always well stocked over here.

Ahhh civilization!! After my foray into Walmart, I was in need of some semi-sane retail therapy. Gotta love Target. Great selection of drug store products and over the counter medicines. A huge selection of Carters children's clothes. Their work-out clothes are great. Their home accents (frames, decorative pillows) are pretty and well priced. Their bathrooms are also very clean. Love me some Target'. read more

Clean and well stocked and also has a Starbucks inside which is always plus to soften the blow of pushing around a cart full of cleaning supplies and some Archer Farms potato chips.... I'll never say no to target! This store is located right next to the Roosevelt field mall, so traffic is heavy. Extra large parking lot, the other major stores in that shopping center like The Wine depot. This target is under major construction right now, so it's hard to find what you're looking for, but we found what we were looking for just fine. We've been doing some research on sound bars for our TV in the living room, so we finally settled on one. Picked up Viso 32.1 channel 3821, which had great reviews across the board so we picked it up. Of course my printer decided to crap out recently right when I need it, so I picked up a new printer as well. Overall shopping experience went well, next time I'm leaving my credit card at home lol it seems like every Sunday we step out to get some air we end up buying things. Haha read more

Employees are so nasty and can't point you in the right direction on where anything is!!!!! Nobody knows where anything is in this store! Absolutely avoid!!!!! read more

This Target is my go-to. They have basically everything from clothing(and now Plus-Size Ava & Viv), basically a full grocery store, a CVS pharmacy, and a very extensive Electronics department. They always seemed to have the Nintendo Switch(both color options) when other store seemed to be selling out of it like they were giving it away. The current look of Target is not the normal. The store is currently going under a complete store renovation so there is no restroom(not counting the somewhat upscale porta-potties outside the store by electronics. There normally is both a Target Cafe & Starbucks. The Customer Service desk is also currently moved. You can still do all of the things that you would have before, just expect to wait a little longer in line as there are less employees working there. read more
