I love Target. They carry everything at a fairly reasonable price. This location is fairly large, clean, and organized. They have clothes, shoes, accessories, all kinds home goods, office supplies, toys, groceries, beauty products, electronics, cleaning products, and seasonal items. I've never needed assistance from any of the employees but I always see them around which is good if you need help with anything. The only complain I have is that the customer service area can have a huge line. If I ever need to return anything, I make sure to come early or right before the store closes when there are less people. The store is also big enough that you don't have to weave around people to get around. The only issue is that sometimes I question the quality. I bought a pair of rain boots and they were great until they ripped the 3rd time I wore them. So disappointing! :( read more

This location is always crowded. 8am on a Wednesday? Crowded. 2pm on a Monday? Crowded. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Always, anytime, all the time. Crowded. But! It's clean and conveniently around the corner from almost everyone's job in the heart of Westbury so of course it's always busy. My favorite (as it would be anywhere) is the amount of clearance. It's such a large store and the transitions happen fairly quickly. So that lamp you fell in love with last week may be on triple sale by next. I'm not complaining. The express lane 10 items or less is also always bombarded with the amazing people that decide 29 items are magically 8. But the employees are nice and help everyone and you know what; that's better than not. Walk into target for milk and leave with a $200 bill. Always, anytime, all the time. M-S. lol read more

Went here specifically to get thin mint cereal, and I saw nothing in the cereal aisle. Luckily, customer service was a great help and restocked it! A lot of great products here, for quite cheap prices. The pop tart and Oreo sections have such cool flavors which tempts me so badly! I also got the limited edition Thomas' maple french bagels from here. Everything is great, and I love the coffee options they have with the almond milk. Can't wait to go back. read more

The actual store is fine .... the parking lot .... NOT SO MUCH!!!!! WTH are they thinking establishing what could be deemed a makeshift working warehouse in the parking lot??!!?? What a terrible environment to try to park one's car!! Trucks all over the place.... storage containers like you might see on the NY docks!!!! Unbelieveable!!!! Used to be a wide open easy to see parking area with the ability to park far from the store and not worry about shopping carts, door dings etc. Now, it's like trying to drive through an outdoor warehouse! I love this Target, it's organized for the most part. It's like a one stop shop; everything from electronics to home goods and groceries. The only problem I have when going to Target is I walk in a with a list of 5 items I need and I walk out with 20-30 items instead all because I stumble across something in an aisle and well it ended up in my cart. Target is manly the same at each store. When I'm at my boyfriends parents house, I'll drop by here to look around. This place does have more variety when it comes to the frozen vegetarian section. The lines in this store are always long, even when every register is open. The store itself is crowded. The aisles don't seem big enough. The aisles in front of the register are hard to get to, since the people online think you are cutting them. I haven't used Custumer service so I can comment on that. read more

I know, many will probably agree that this location used to be one of the best in the Island. They have huge store and big enough store to accommodate all the vehicles parking here. What they don't have is enough staff to give that good old service Used to get when shopping at Target. Last Friday 6PM was the worst. You needed to wait in line just to ask a question. I do not blame the staff. it was just too much. Maybe this is was something unexpected. And maybe they weren't ready for the place to get so packed. Yesterday, my roommate graciously toted my newly purchased shredder out as it was heavy (she's in her 20's--I'm 59). When we got to the door, there was a large group of young people at the exit, forcing us to leave single file. I was not stopped exiting. She was stopped and asked for her receipt. She was profiled. She's black--I'm white. This has never happened to me in 4 years at this store location. When I returned the shredder later, the manager--also black--said, "It's policy". I was disgusted and will not reenter that store unless they plan to make this right. read more

This target makes me happy because: 1. It's close to IKEA 2. It's not very crowded, being in the 'burbs 3. There is always room in the fitting area 4. Great clothes selection, lots of sizes (both guys' and girls' stuff) 5. I just had an excellent experience at the Target Westbury store. I had ordered a new mobile phone on Target.com to be delivered to that store. There was a problem with the order that I was having trouble resolving. The order had to be completed by a certain date to receive a $100 gift card. I went into the store and had the good fortune to be helped by Shannon. She was so patient and helpful, she made the process a pleasure. I went back today because I needed help with the case. She recognized me, asked me how my new phone was and helped me get the case on properly. It's a very busy store but I felt like I had excellent service, thank you Shannon! read more

I needed some storage containers for an organization project, so I placed the order today for curbside pickup. It took a few hours to get the e-mail that my order was ready, and I texted when I left my house as instructed. I arrived at the store at 8:15pm and the app automatically responded that they knew I was outside and there would be a wait for the curbside delivery. The store was supposed to close at 9pm. After 20 minutes I called and a very rude person said they closed early today and come back tomorrow. If Target had my e-mail and phone number to alert me that my order was ready for pickup, why couldn't they alert me not to come because they are closing early? Also, why does Target not care about the hour I spent driving back and forth and the twenty minutes that I spent waiting outside the store? And now I am supposed to just go back again tomorrow? Was very disappointed in the store. Store is very under stocked and what is worse they were completely out of a lot of things that I needed food-wise. A lot of the milk was expired 4 days ago what little milk they did have out which just goes to show they are not even paying attention to the merchandise. I think management in general in this company needs to be more Hands-On or they will lose a lot of customers. I say this because I went to the Hicksville store and that store was even worse than the Westbury store. I would highly recommend shopping in Walmart over Target any day of the week now. read more

Target stores are generally almost all the same. This one is located in a large strip mall area. Plenty of parking. Lots of territory to cover inside. Plenty of options and sizes to choose from. Very clean store. read more

Love this store. It gets super crowded, especially in the grocery section. Parents are mean and immature to their kids in the store often so your heart can break for a young child being yelled at and humiliated by a parent while the child becomes understandably more distressed and panics in scared cries. It's sad so I try to go before there are a lot of crying children - before 9AM on weekends. Inventory in stock is hit or miss. Pros: Fun, spacious, easy to find what you need, they do NOT change the location of the merchandise so you can always find what you want. Cons: Long lines, Sometimes there are not shopping carts at the store and you have to go to the parking lot to bring one in but they seem to be improving on this, the groceries and bottled waters are at the furthest point from the checkout, they run out of important food items. read more

This Target sucks when it comes to inventory. Came here last week for Nathan's hot dogs and Market Pantry hot dog buns - both were out of stock. Came here today for ricotta and fresh grated parmesan cheese - out of stock as well. Garnier Fructis Pure Clean 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner - out of stock. What is going on?! When it comes to the lines, you might as well be shopping at Walmart. There are always crazy lines here on the weekends. Not sure if it's any different on the weekdays, but come on... So I wasn't aware that to work in Customer Service at this Target you were required to have an attitude problem and be lazy. Had I know that, I would've gone anywhere else. No good deed goes unpunished! Okay, now that I've gotten the snark out of my system, here's the story: I was helping out a friend who received three identical baby food makers at her baby shower. (No gift receipts, not on her registry... weird!) I offered to return the extra two, figuring I'd help out a pregnant friend. First, I Googled the product to see where it was so sold so I could go return it. I figured it would be at Buy Buy Baby (I'm there all the time) or Babies R Us (there's one near my apartment) but no such luck - the only retailer carrying it is Target. Then, I was Halloween costume shopping for my son in Jersey so I went to the Paramus Target (NOT this one). I had the baby food makers in the trunk of my car so I brought them in for returning. I was told they were not being sold in the retail location, only online, but then was told they could offer me a store credit. Since I had not made a return to Target in the past year, they gave me a store credit for $68ish. They said they can only take $75 annually of in-store returns, so I could only return one. I figured my friend will be able to use this for lots of great baby items at Target so I was happy with the store credit. A few days later, I was in this location, and again I brought in the baby food maker. I explained the above situation to the lady in Customer Service. She was extremely rude and refused to accept the return. She said that Target does not sell the item. I brought up the item on the internet on my smartphone and she still refused, now becoming loud and hostile. I couldn't believe this was an issue, since the folks in Paramus had been so easy and pleasant to deal with, so I asked for a manager to come over. The first lady brought over another lady, who was equally abrupt, dismissive, and to be frank just a jerk. And, the best part - absolutely NOT a manager. So, my customer service experience ended with me walking out of the store having been met with dishonesty and rudeness. I'm going to email and tweet this to Target customer service and see if anything can be done. Ultimately I just want someone to accept the second baby food maker for return. Brand new, in the box, never touched, and a Target product - how is this so problematic? All I want is fair treatment with respect. The good thing about this target is that it's really big and each section has EVERYTHING. The bad part is that it's very messy, always crowded, understaffed and feel like WM on Black Friday. The staff that is there is not interested in helping the customer and often say no to having things in stock rather than looking. The trip is never worth it for me. Skip it. read more

Omg I can here on Black Friday, I know I should have stayed home lol. It wasn't too bad because I came in the evening. While I may have missed the initial Black Friday crowd it was still a large volume of people in the store. As busy as the store was the worker looked overwhelmed at times but still maintained their professionalism by being friendly, patient, and answering questions regarding products and sales. The store was is disarray but that was to be excepted considering what day is was. Although arriving in the evening Target still had a lot of things on sale and reasonably priced. I was disappointed that certain items that I could only find in target were discontinued, but a sales associate helped me located similar products options. Typical Target, which means it's a huge store with lots of products mis-placed or otherwise on the floor. Staff aren't really helpful, and the managers seem to think that, during a Christmas rush, it makes sense to keep a fraction of the registers open. On the other hand, this store has a huge parking lot, is located adjacent to the Roosevelt Field Mall, and is worlds better than the Green Acres Target. If you know what you need, and bring a little extra helping of patience with you, you should be able to get what you need done. I have a love hate relationship with Target. On paper it's a dream store: they sell everything from cheap condoms that don't break to baby formula if they do. They got it all, but the idea of going to Target makes me nauseous. There are never enough registers open and consequently the lines are a nightmare. The express checkout (10 items or less) I've only seen staffed once, but like Bigfoot I didn't have a camera on me to document it. Still their prices are good, the store is clean, and there's a Starbucks inside which is always a win. The employees are pleasant and helpful as well. read more
