The check out lines here are completely non-sensical. They're stacked - but not in a way that you can get to a back check-out. It's frequently a mess. I'm here at least two or three times a week and still find it hard to find things and even harder to find anyone that can HELP you. One of my favorite things about Target is the ease of finding cheap basic clothing - I need a black t-shirt... this is where I'd go. But the women's clothing and accessory department has been in a constant state of flux and mess for the last 6 months or so... A simple trip to find a sun hat resulted in finding only three hats. Three. I used to love their women's sleepwear department but that has also been a mess for some time. I hope they get this all fixed up. It's not like I'm going to stop going to Target - but this one is a bit of a cluster these days. read more

I have come to this Target location many times in the past. Its a great store to shop in. It is just in a bad area of town with a bunch of homeless, Hookers, Thugs, and drug users. That is why security is so tight at this store. Security kind of treat you like a criminal here. But we stopped by and shopped for some things. Good customer service and a bunch of stuff to purchase. The customer service here is awful. They gave me the wrong order at drive up, I didn't notice till after I had already left and when I called to see if we could switch it out to the correct order, they didn't answer their phone. I've called several different departments and no one has answered. 20 calls later and still nothing. The parking situation is awful here as well. Don't recommend this target. It's sad to admit, but proximity to Target is actually a factor in how easy it is to settle into a new city. Being new to Los Angeles, I've already been to Target three times since I moved here a week ago. Unfortunately, living here in the downtown area, all Targets are about seven miles away... in five different directions. I chose the WeHo location because I figured it would be close to fun stuff... so off I went. I like the location. The people are friendly, the store is nice and large, there are food venues around in the center, so you can grab a bite before or after shopping, and parking is free for the first hour in the HUGE lot underneath the Target. Pro: 1) decent floor plan, somewhat cleaner than other Tar-Zhays I've frequented 2) decent selection of home goods - for instance, they have a wide selection of Kitchenaid teapots in various colors 3) reasonable return policy - will give you store credit even if you forgot your receipt. Con: 1) shelves are somewhat sloppy and occasionally poorly stocked - took me several tries to find someone to bring an item from the store room. 2) parking is a bear - it's literally a race against the clock to get out of there within the hour (you get only one free hour while shopping) 3) they started charging $0.10 per bag now thanks to WeHo ordinance - this will probably hinder sales, because people don't like getting nickled and dimed (literally) And yes, as Katie B implies, Target is like a mini Costco. Now, I love target. I come here to shop for all my favorite things like groceries, clothes, school supplies, bath supplies. Just about anything, you can find it at this target. They even come with self check out lines that allow you to quickly pay for your things and go out the door to spare you the long lines. However, the staff needs some serious training on how to treat their customers. A man was shopping here purchasing a $40 gift card, jacket, and a shirt for a homeless man, and rather than being able to shop for his things using his own money, the ever so friendly staff of this store decides to lecture him on not being allowed to that. He is allowed to buy whatever he wants and frankly they have no right to tell him, me or anyone what they can or cannot buy. That is just appalling and beyond horrible. Target today was the best possible situation. Phone shopping can be extremely complicated when going from store to store when shopping does not need to be complicated, especially in a group. Anyway, customer service with a Total Wireless phone plan from Target employee and phone setup today, superb! Came into Target and was wanting phone shopping to be over with, and the Target customer service associate was there right when we walked in and got right to the phone, and the best possible outcome in the best way. Warm, vibrant, energy reading professional service and had phone picked out and activated within a few minutes! Didn't catch name. I felt I had to commet. I did a review last year due to an incident of extreme violence that when on in their store. Young man went on a tirade and was destroying the area where the returns are done. I was in the middle of store approaching the the checkout area, a Friday afternoon, We thought it was gun shots at first. The management were standing around watching, Myself and other shoppers were scared and stunned. But I have a mouth on me, mainly due to the first 15 years of my life were lived in Belfast, Northen Ireland during "the troubles' of 1970s before the family moved to the US and settled in Southern CA. So when you grow up with car bombings and gun fire on the steets...well hey that is America today...you're a wee bit sensitive to noise and danger. Manny the manager and the others stood there and did nothing and let the tirade continue. I told friends and family I can't tell you what to do, but for me not a good scenario to be 3 stories up and only entrance in an out....no thanks. And now DTLA, a child stabbed, a young woman who is a flight attendant for Korean Air Lines..stabbed...Thank God that security guard had a gun, he was retired LAPD shot and killed the homeless man who went over I always felt Target was kind of upgraded Walmart, I even preferred the older on La Brea, but I won't go in there. I can put up with some attitude, some I get it's not easy dealing with the public. Some attitude, but not rude behavior. But Target doesn't care at all about YOUR SAFETY...why give them your money, If you really love them, OK,,,but this location, just remember Angelinos you're 3 stories up, and you have to pay to park....LOL. read more

Wandered around this target trying to buy Christmas Gifts and waiting for my toe nails to finish drying. We almost found everything we were looking for. This location has A LOT. Their clothing, stationary, and kitchen sections lack a bit of inspiration. Cash is fast, they have bathrooms, and staff isn't in your way. read more

I always frequent THIS Target which is located on La Brea /Santa Monica with convenient parking below. There is a Best Buy & Starbucks in the complex also. I was at Target 2 days ago and spent well over $300 on various goods, I.e. rugs, floor mats, towels, lots of storage containers as well as 2 women's T shirts for myself: "Dog Mom & a LA Dodger V neck and 2 bottles of wine, those 2 T's and wine came to approximately $70. This was at 1:57 pm pm on Sunday June 21, 2020. At 5 pm that day, I decided it was time for a walk with my puppy and YES a nice cool glass of vino. I could not find the target bag that those items were in. I immediately contacted the store and informed them and they said "oh we are so sorry & we will be happy to replace the items" I replied: "thank you so much and I'm on my way" They replied: "ohhhh we are very busy right now and would it be ok if you came tomorrow?" Me: no problem. See you tomorrow early morning Thank you! Next day I go to the Return Department... this is where it goes extremely bad!! They listened to my story, took my receipt and went into a back room. This is where they told me that they watched me on their video cams and actually saw me PAY for all of my items, place them all in my cart and then went to my car where they (3 young and clearly in dire need of customer service 101) SAW me place that exact bag which had those exact items : 2 women's t shirts and 2 bottles of wine. I said to them: "so, you are all telling me that you CLEARLY SAW each and every bag and the contents in them including the one I paid for with the 2 t shirts and 2 bottles of wine?" They replied : "yes we saw each bag and could see the exact t shirts and 2 bottles of wine which you put inside your car." Me: well, that's very interesting and somewhat confusing to me as I DO NOT HAVE those items." Target: we saw you put them in your car. Me: oh so are you saying I'm lying?" Target: no we just CANNOT return your $ and/or allow you to get the items you paid for. Apparently, they were lost from the time you left the store to your car!" Me: I would like to see the video showing the purchased items that you claim you all could clearly see my putting them into my car. Target: we cannot allow you to see the video. Target: sorry but you may want to go to parking security, I did go and they had nothing. Then, target states to me "ohhhh we can only see what goes into the cart and after it goes into the elevator, we cannot see anything and are not responsible". Ummmmmm - did you remember when I told you that all 3 employees stated that THEY SAW ME PUT EACH BAG INTO MY CAR and that THEY COULD SEE the contents of each bag esp the one with my 2 t shirts and 2 wines. I paid close to $70 dollars for these items and an additional $240 for various other items from target that day. I was offended that they pretty much accused me of lying and trying to rip this multi billion dollar company during a pandemic for $70 I'm 65 years old and have never ever done anything remotely close to what they are assuming. They were rude, unapologetic regarding my lost $70 worth of goods and just simply not professional whatsoever. Maria who assisted me on the phone was apologetic and nice but still refused to help me. The one other person was Tony in electronics who was knowledgeable and I was actually going to purchase a Smart TV that day. Well, unfortunately for their employee who doesn't deserve this : the tv wasn't purchased. This was, without a doubt the WORST experience I've ever had at any Target!! I'm a huge fan of Target but not this one and perhaps they need to send that staff who were so rude and not accommodating to "customer relations 101" I'm out $70 and extremely disappointed. read more

What seems to be a highly organized Target store. A really well-zoned area in each of the departments as well as the friendly customer service that it entails, from what it has been observed. There are common items that tend to be out of stock fast, which seems to be normal at other Target locations. Staff seem to be quick to respond to call buttons as well as responding to any product inquiries that I had. Will be shopping here again. read more

I already love this target because of how large it is, but I had a positive experience today with customer service that I had to provide a review for. I ordered a pretty expensive bedding set which included a comforter and two pillowcases. When I got the product home, it only had the comforter but the two pillowcases were missing. I was careless and tossed the receipt and wanted to see if the store would allow me to just get two pillowcases of the same brand So that I could keep the comforter (I really liked it and it was the only one that size, brand and color left). I came in to the store with nothing but the debit card I used to purchase the comforter set and my word that the pillowcases were missing as I did not bring the comforter back (it was huge and I had already stuffed it and put it on my bed). I was prepared to have to really argue my case that I was not trying to scam them out of $16 pillowcases after buying a $130 bedding set but once they were able to confirm through my card that I actually made the purchase, they agreed to let me take the pillowcases and now my bed set is complete. I was already having an off day and probably was not the most cheerful person so I really appreciated the customer service team helping me to resolve the issue. read more

I have never had a bad experience there. One reason for that is an individual in management named Anthony. Our item wasn't in stock even tho the online said it was :( Anthony really helped out with trying to order us one online, looked for stores that might have one near by. The renovation of this location is amazing. The store really looks wonderful with a huge enlargement. Their marketplace is particularly nice with a very large selection. They have done a particularly nice job with the produce section. The associates have also raised their level of customer service as there is always an employee available to ask for help. Spacious free parking for one hour. The only down side is the store is located at LaBrea and Santa Monica which attracts a sketchy crowd as there has been purse snatchings, assaults, cars broken into. This used to be one of my favorite targets to shop at but now they literally have everything I want to buy behind glass including laundry detergent. While I was there yesterday there was 1 person in the beauty section and she did not have the key for what I needed I waited and waited for someone to show up and stopped another person and they were on a break, I finally left to get other shopping done. It took me tracking down four people after an hour of shopping to get 1 item from behind the glass! I heard many disgruntled people not even want to get things from behind glass. So I don't know how much merchandise was actually being stolen but I can say for sure this will definitely be a profit loss for this target and a loss of customers. read more

This is about my experience with cashier, Danielao about an hour ago. First of all, I have fully converted to online shopping for absolutely everything. I Amazon-Prime everything from clothes to household to electronics, down to my toilet paper. Polyvore, sometimes Target, and some others are my go-to for clothes, and I only go to physical stores anymore for window shopping or boredom. Boredom was the case for this Saturday night after I met with my boyfriend for dinner nearby. As I was browsing I found a nice wool winter coat and some other knick knacks, and noticed signs about 25% off and $10 off here and there if I downloaded and used the Cartwheel app. Well, just like online pop ups, that worked on me - because I was about to buy this $70 coat IN THE STORE so I could use the discounts on the Cartwheel app, which I downloaded immediately. (Again, it's a pretty big deal if I'm buying something at a physical store - I spend every penny online to maximize all my linked airline, credit card, and other point systems rewards. I never buy anything full price because that's how many deals and discounts I get when I line everything up and buy online.) So I was impulsively running to the register with this darling coat and my new app. The lines were backed up and one girl came to open a new register. I joined her new line after 2 others. Wish I hadn't. So here's how the app deals worked: there was an offer for 25% off outerwear but there was also a $10 or 10% off deal on apparel over $50. My goal was to buy this coat then and there if I could knock off a substantial amount. She rang up my two items: a purse and the coat, and I gave her my app bar code to scan. I mentioned that I wanted to see which discounts were applied because there were more than one. She scanned my barcode and quickly clicked through to the totals page where the line items no longer appeared. And looked at me telling me the total. I was caught off guard and didn't want to be rude or have too many requests because I know there are lines behind me. So I awkwardly asked to see the subtotals page or somewhere I can see which discounts were applied. She was moving and talking quickly like I was the bane of her existence and I needed to shut up and go away immediately. She clicked a few times back and forth and brought me back to the totals page. I forget exactly what I mumbled because I didn't know how to articulate my problem - I just wanted to see the line items I wasn't asking her to walk me through or anything. I think I mumbled about the app having different discounts. She took my cell phone and pressed the back button to my app's other pages, did something else, and scanned the barcode again THEN FINALLY took me to the subtotals page where I could see the line items. Whatever she did changed the total to a little more, and she mentioned that a $10 off discount was applied. I was about to ask if the 25% discount was applied but she bluntly said "it's $52.xx, would you like a bag?" I was clearly still trying to ask her the simple question and she clearly wanted me to die in a fire. Well....I know myself and the last thing I want to do is get worked up and upset in public. So I took all my power to calmly say "I'll just take the purse thank you." Forget the damn coat. I left with a $9 purse. WHATS REALLY FUNNY is that when I said I'll just take the purse she still didn't flinch or care, BUT SHE CAUGHT ME LOOKING AT HER NAME TAG AND SUDDENLY SHE CHANGED HER TUNE!! Oh the mighty power of consumer reviews! I was trying to be discrete and memorize her name so I could write this review (LOL). Once she realized I was reading her name tag, she calmly made some additional conversation like "the app does that, it usually just applies everything"...or some bullshit I wasn't even listening I just nodded my head and took my receipt and the $9 purse. The moral of the story is, Danielao, quit your job if you hate it or if you hate me. To everyone else - shop Amazon Prime. read more
